Helpful and nice but then sneakily added a $3 extra coverage thing (or something like that) to my purchase that I never asked for - luckily I caught it on my receipt as I was walking out and had them refund it.

My service engine soon light came on yesterday so Today (3 July) I was right outside the Advance Auto store at 8;55 to see if they could do a diagnostic when they get the time - the sign said they opened at 9 - well they opened at 0859 and by 9:01 the PROffesional technician (about 25 yrs old) was performing the diagnostic and told me what caused the light to come on - I wasn t ready for such prompt service - couldn t believe it - I shared my thoughts with him and he replied I learned a long time ago it s the small things that mean the most to a lot of people - that PRO is well beyond his years pertaining to customer service- started my day with a smile thanks to him

Just came in to buy a product. 3rd store I been to. Trying to get working today. I had a $100 and they had just sent a guy to the bank so they didn't have change. The young cashier helping me "Darwin " Is what it says on the receipt. Anyways he went to every employee until he found someone to break the bill. I was able to get the product I needed because this cashier went above and beyond for me. Very impressed with this young man's willingness to find a solution when all his managers told him to tell me to come back later and walked away.

I had a great costumer services since the day I come to looks for the parts for my car with Steve that was on Monday but today Friday I come to get the part that I order here and the lady was so nice and kind that she ask to an other employee to help me to carry the parts to my car I really appreciate you all dor doing a great job!! I purchased a 3 ton floor jack from the website, with the order to be sent to pick up at this location. I used the floor jack once before it stopped working. Oh sure it can jack up a person (how the staff tried to prove to me that it was working), but it can't lift a car. The second time I tried to use the jack, it only lifted about 6 inches, and wouldn't go any higher. I took the jack to a mechanic who confirmed the issue.The jack had a 1 year replacement warranty. I took the jack back to the store within the 1 year. The manager (I assume, due to her haughty attitude) told me all online orders must be resolved through customer service and not at the store where I picked up the order, because the order wasn't in their system. I was on the phone with customer service in front of the lady when she said that, and the customer service rep asked if the lady had looked up the order to which she said "no, because it won't be in our system". The rep said it would be; the lady in the store wouldn't even attempt to look it up.I was told I had to purchase a new jack at the store (oh, it was out of stock, but in stock at a different location). They offered to have it shipped over to my local store, later in the day, or possibly by the next morning. After I purchased, I was told they would refund the purchase when I came back to pick it up. I said "how will the employee working when I come to pick it up know to refund the purchase?" The employee I was speaking to (not the lady manager) named Christ O. wrote a note on my receipt directing to refund the purchase when I picked up the order. I was told by customer service that since the store had my phone number, they would call me when the jack was delivered to the store.I came back the next day to ask if the jack had come in, since I hadn't received a call yet. The same lady manager was at the store, so I attempted to speak with her. She told me 1) the jack was never going to be delivered to the store, 2) I had agreed the previous day to go pick it up at the other location (a flat out lie), and 3) that the refund would not be given by the store (contradicting the note the employee had written on my receipt) and that I needed to get a refund through customer service WHO DID NOT EVEN DEAL WITH FORCING ME TO PURCHASE THE 2ND FLOOR JACK.I left the store and called customer service. While on hold with them, I looked up the location of the store where my jack supposedly was. It was 19 miles away in District Heights. While on the phone with customer service, I was informed that they could not refund my purchase, because it had been done in the store and not online. But they would email me and ask for a picture of the receipt, to get authorization from their superiors to refund my purchase. When I got the email, they offered me store credit instead.I don't want store credit. I want my money back. I'm not shopping at an Advance Auto Parts again. Terrible in store service, from the manager. Christ O. is a good dude. The customer service reps seem fine on the phone. But this is a ridiculous hassle and you've lost a customer. Hope it was worth it!

The two gentlemen working tonight were incredibly helpful with getting me a replacement headlight and went above and behind to make sure the installation was a success!! Very impressed with customer service.

Bought a battery 10 months ago, battery died and I asked for warranty replacement and they told me it is not under warranty any more because of rust on top the battery that I do not know how it rusted. So they did not honor the warranty and not willing to to help to change if I want to pay for new one.I went to Auto Zone and they changed and after hearing what Advanced did to me, they gave me $50 discount. Thank you Auto Zone, shame on you Advanced Auto. Never deal with them any more.

Very courteous, gave me good advise. I wanted to buy ignition coils, didn't know how to check a damaged coil. Saved dollars and time as well. Guy name Steven helped me. Always had good experience with the store.

I just left this store and I didn't receive any type of help. The guy was "too busy" to help me choose the right bulb for my car. He decided to continue to talk on the phone instead. I took him a few of the bulbs off the shelf to see which one I need. He gave me the one for my car and hurriedly rung me up. I left to go get it replaced only to find out it was the wrong one. I'm highly disappointed in this store. They will not get my service again.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. They knew my battery was shot even though the free charging services did give it a charge. I was impressed. Thought they hired non knowledgeable folks like jiffy lube

I went into the auto zone I told the guy that I needed help with my car he was very nice to help me and he ain't even ended up calling one of his cousins up the street who work for mechanic shop and was able to get me the help that I needed my window had fallen down and it needs to be replaced his cousin completely replace the window and took the button out for free I also purchased a wrench set from AutoZone and I got a very good deal on it

Online coupons keep this the most affordable. I was able to replace the door actuator in the time they changed my battery. Convenient and staff are always helpful.

Worst ever! Called them to see if they had brakes & rotors for my car, the man on the phone advised they did not but the Laurel location had my brakes and he could order the rotors and have them in today! He said they don't 'usually' order parts without payment first, but he could and it would be in today! GREAT, 15 minute phone conversation later I'm told the part would be there in 2 hours from the time I called! I get there well after the part is supposed to be there for them to tell me "oh, well that was never ordered, we USUALLY get payment before the order is placed".. so WHY did the guy take all my info, keep me on the phone for 15mins, tell me where i could get my brake pads and tell me it would be in at a specific time and never even put an order in??? They got my name & phone number WHY didn't they contact me to tell me nevermind they couldn't place the order without payment first, I could've payed over the phone!It's too bad I directly supervise over a hundred delivery drivers that often need a reliable parts store, they won't be advised to go here. In fact I plan on sharing my story of the incompetent employees and horrible service this location offers!

Avoid entirely unless you have no other alternative. Attendant told me to "google it yourself" when I had questions about fob batteries. There weren't even other customers he needed to help. Clearly doesn't care.

I went to this store few minutes ago to purchase a tire cover for my carWhen I ask for help a worker named Juan treated me in a disrespectful manner and he was very rude!I never had this experience in other storesThis is a bad customer service!I will Never go to this store again!I don't recommend it as well!

Needed a replacement battery for our car that died the day before a trip. This store said they had it in stock and promised to ship it so it would arrive at my local store by 1:30 the next day. They never sent the battery. I ended up having to drive to this store and delaying our trip a day due to their inability to follow through.

Dirty environment. Employees were loud, extremely rude, and had no idea what they were selling me. Save yourself the giant 2 day headache they just gave me and go to the NAPA just down the road.

Most that work here don't know what they are doing. Most are very rude. Not good impression for a company that depends on THE CUSTOMER. Getting service is a nightmare, which line do I get in???????????? Get it together Advance Auto Parts!!!
