I've brought three cars here for state inspection. Each time, Sam was timely and honest. My wife also brought her car here and I felt like they treated her the same way which is how it should be! Will return here if needed in the future.

The guys at the shop are very friendly and honest. I've been to Top Tech with my older model Honda and they have taken great care of it. They did unnecessary work and were upfront with their pricing.

I brought my car into Top Tech to see what was going on with a few check engine lights. Sam was very helpful not only in diagnosing the problem but keeping the costs low with no unnecessary work. I will most definitely be back in the future with any car repair needs.

I recently took my car for the state inspection to transfer it in Maryland. I was a bit scared since my car is pretty old (Honda Civic 2002) and I heard horror stories about thousands of dollars for repairs. I met Sam at the counter who told me that the inspection takes 2 hours and he will call me. One hour later I got a call where he explained the problems he found in the car. Nothing substantial: only cleaning the headlights and swipe blades. He told me I could do it myself and take the car back. I let him to do these small things for a very reasonable price and with excellent results. At the end I paid around $200 and I had a very relaxed experience. The car was ready after two hours as promised.

Used this shop for 3 years. Sam is great and as a person who knows nothing about cars I feel like he gives it to me straight and doesn t know overcharge for stuff. A couple of times he didn t even charge me when I brought my car to ask about a specific issue.

We had an excellent experience getting state safety inspections done on our two vehicles and highly recommend this location. The repairs were reasonably priced and completed quickly, and for the kind of repair my car needed, there was a noticeable and improved difference in driving it. I really appreciated their distinction between required and recommended repairs and getting different quotes so that we can plan for future work on my car. The gentleman who helped us was very friendly and stayed in communication with us about the inspections and subsequent repairs.

I'd like to start out by saying my review of this business is a bit late. It's been quite a few months since I was there. However, a conversation with a friend reminded me of my bad experience here and I felt like I needed to share it.I visited this shop for an inspection. I was told that one of the bulbs in my third break light was out, but that they would replace it free of charge. The problem is that the bulb wasn't actually blown. The person who did the inspection, I do not know his name, took the light's housing apart, disconnected it, and put it back together. I ended up getting my final inspection somewhere else, which is where they discovered this. Top tech disconnected my third break light entirely, then let me drive off the lot without it functioning. So, that left me wondering.. why did they tell me the bulb was blown when it wasn't? Why did they disconnect the entire thing? Why did they put the housing back together, claiming it was broken when it wasn't, and then let me leave with it like that? This is extremely shady. I can't help but to think this was done because they think I'm just a "stupid woman." I can't help but to wonder if they said they would replace the bulb for free to make me think they were the good guys just to turn around and tell me the entire thing was broken so they could charge me a couple hundred bucks to replace it. Why disassemble it, disconnect the power, then reassemble it? Why lie about a light bulb? My assumption is that they wanted to take advantage of me.

I went there yesterday to buy a car which was advertised on craigslist. It said the car was inspected and safe. Stated body was clean and it had a nasty little dent in the passenger front door. First gear was sloppy, tach and speedometer didn't work. Told me I was lying about being told it was inspected. I have the screen shots of the ad. Also said he was the own and was not. He even took me for the 10 bucks I put in the gas tank . Very shady. Walked away from the car and do not recommend buying anything from this business. Its horrible someone would try and take advantage of a single mom trying to make in this world .

Went here to get a used car inspected to get MD tags. Sam was able to squeeze me in on Friday and let me know of the repairs needed. Provided an estimate and the car was ready to go by Monday afternoon. Recommended by a friend and tenant who takes his Jeep to Sam at top Tech.Took boyfriend's car in for serious rear brake issue. Without my tools I wasn't able to get under it to look at it myself. Sam got it up on the rack and found that the mounting hardware on the left rear side for the brake shoes was broken off. He gave me an estimate for replacing that and new shoes on both sides plus a separate estimate for the AC repair.Quality work at reasonable in City prices. Plus if you need the repairs and alternatives explain to you Sam will take the time to explain them to you instead of at you like some other places will.

Sam is incredibly helpful! Inspected my car and called me back within the timeframe he told me. Was very kind and could get me in first thing in the morning. I highly recommend Top Tech auto!

First rate experience from start to finish! Got an appointment for MD state inspection the next day. They took my car in on time. Several small items needed repair which they did while I waited. I was in and out in less than two hours. Definitely not trying to upsell. In fact, they suggested I have my headlight plastic buffed for a small fee instead of replacing foggy light cover. Happy to find this place. They are well located, and Rafi is super reasonable on his hourly shop rates for labor. I drove in unannounced and he managed to turn my car around the same day (new axle and some work on the drum brakes and a state inspection). Super honest guy, pretty friendly, and I can't wait to get some work on my truck done from them.

Sam, the owner and main mechanic, helped me out during a difficult time of my life when I was a complete stranger to him. He found a reliable used car for me dirt cheap, fixed it up, inspected it, didn't charge me for the inspection or repairs, and took my dead junker as trade-in. He is compassionate, reliable, knowledgeable, honest, thorough, and communicates everything clearly. He is patient with questions. I never plan take my car anywhere else to get it repaired. This is probably one of the best places in Baltimore. I was instantly welcomed by the owner's hospitality and friendliness. Him and his team quickly identified a leak in the steering fluid and brought me into the garage, pinpointing the source of it, and explaining exactly what the repair would be. He was even teaching me a little bit about the engine with excitement. Several times he enthusiastically called me into the garage to show me something new--it felt like a free lesson. All and all the price of the repair I felt was very reasonable and now my vehicle drives better than it has in a long time. It's clear he definitely knows his stuff. He even told me him and his team frequently attend classes to keep up with their knowledge as the industry changes. If you have any problems with your vehicle I definitely recommend this place. Just note that they typically do things by appointment and the work slowly and carefully--which is more than fine with me.

I've been here twice now, and both times I have been helped quickly, kindly, and been given options and very good prices. What's really struck me is how honest, fair and helpful the staff are.In my first experience, I was in a minor accident, and the staff actually reused as many parts that were still functional, saving me a ton of money. I could have been very easily sold on more parts and labor, but they were incredibly fair and resourceful, and also very fast!In my second experience, I had a vague notion something didn't feel right in my car. They patiently tried to understand what I was feeling, and took me on a test drive to try to recreate the problem. It felt fine, and they told me so but offered to take a look underneath if I wanted them to, even though they didn't think it was necessary. They eventually found a few small unrelated things, but emphasized that they weren't urgent and could wait 6 months or so if I wanted to. Again they could have sold me any number of "solutions," but were Instead incredibly honest. Also, again, very fast. And, they even randomly gave some great advice about car brands!I've mostly worked with Raffi, who is really just so knowledgeable, fair, kind and helpful. I can't say enough good things, and will recommend Top Tech to anyone! You have my loyalty!

My alternator died last night and the battery finally lost its charge and died while we were driving on the highway. Managed to cruise off the exit ramp and ended up in front of Top Tech. Auto Center and they were wonderful!Checked the battery for me, helped me jumpstart it, and charged the battery fully so I d make it home. They were professional, competent, kind, and helpful.I would absolutely use them and recommend them for any auto need.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Battery

A great place to do your car repair. They do know what they are doing and their prices are typically very reasonable. We brought our old Ford there for 3 years and it never had a problem while they cared for it. That said, they have been getting busier. Make sure they have a quiet day and time for your car, maybe come early in the morning.

Poor place to go for a state inspection. Basic safety for headlight functionality not tested or assessed; found this out months later when replacing a headlight bulb and discovered half the assembly is missing (as it was when they performed the inspection last summer). Avoid if you can.

The guy at the front dress is the worst you could have called made the appointment to come see them 3xs and each time I go he says it's not in the book after I took it did all the work they asked and more so it'll pass but getting it back for inspection is a while troublesome problem and a half don't use them for anything I went on a recommendation that they were good the lie detector test showed that was a lieService: Vehicle safety inspection

I could not be more thrilled to have Top Tech Auto center right down the street from me. Not only are they professional, honest, genuine people, and good neighbors, but their work is top-notch. Even if I move outside of Baltimore, there is no doubt that I will continue to trust my car in Sam and his automotive mechanics and technicians' capable hands.P.S. In response to the negative review from 4 years ago: I happen to be a lady and I happen to know just a little about cars and they couldn't be more respectful and helpful!! I never feel like I am being ripped off and I am one that loves getting second and sometimes third opinions. I always end up going back to Top Tech Auto.

As a newcomerr to Baltimore I was very pleased to find Top Tech. Their service is efficient and friendly. They did a state inspection on my 2010 Toyota and started at the time of my appointment and finished in a timely fashion. Friendly and competent. Good to know!

Sam was very friendly and helpful. Came here for regular oil changes, they also fixed minor issues with my car. One time my battery was dead at home nearby and they kindly lent me the jump start. Highly recommend.

This place is great for inspection and general repairs. Sam and the employees do a great job communicating any issues, allow you to have them repair or repair elsewhere (have done both) and are timely with their follow-up. No pressure, just good service. I've taken my car there twice so far, for oil/filter work but also some inspection and diagnostics. They are honest and concientous, explain what they've done, and bill a reasonable amount. I am comfortable making them my home garage.
