State Inspection was quick and affordable. Mechanic told me what I needed to get done to pass and did the service for me at low cost. 100% recommend this shop if you re looking into getting a state inspection for your car .

They tried to charge me $30(cash) for a visual inspection. The repair order was for a headlight being out. When I called the state police # for the mva in glen burnie, I was informed that visual inspections should not be charged

They are great. Very professional, very quick and they keep a safe environment. I went in for a Maryland state inspection and they did a through job! They gave me all of my recommendations and I got the proper repairs and was good to go. I recommend this place for anyone for repairs and check up. If you want quality service, this is your place! In addition they give accurate time frames and have a clean shop! Give this place a go!

Went here today to get my car inspected as part of updating my title and registration to reflect my new MD address. I was considering using another place to do the inspection last weekend but I ended up coming to Top Gear Auto Shop because they allow you to not only book an appointment, but to do so online at your convenience. When I arrived today I was told the inspection would take around 90 minutes and I opted to wait in their waiting room for the duration. It was honestly quite pleasant for an auto shop; they had a fan running and the door open for fresh air, the chairs were comfortably spaced out around the room, and they even had free outlets and a WiFi password posted on the wall if you wanted to use the Internet. Service indeed took about 90 minutes and I felt all the charges were very reasonable. Would absolutely recommend booking them for an inspection if you're in need!Service: Vehicle Inspection

They are kind and go above and beyond customer service wise. I always know they re going to be honest and work quick. Oh man. They overcharged me and played my money. They charged me a 100 dollars for an inspection just to fail me due to my wipers. And was asked to come back to get reinspected and be charged extra money. They also asked me to wait additional hour just to check my damn wipers. Don t go to this location and this company. Cos for real, they will over charge you for days. Horrible experience.

Made an appointment for a Maryland car inspection for the middle of the week. They called to confirm the appointment and took my car and inspected it immediately upon arriving. Everyone was courteous and respectful. I waited for my car and was done within an hour with no issues. I came here for my MD state inspection and they talked down to me throughout the process (and failed me for a regulation regarding covering my fog lights when I don t have fog lights). When I came back to get it re-inspected for a windshield crack, the manager/owner was condescending and called me honey in a very rude and derisory manner, also cutting me off any time I was asking a question. I don t care if I have to drive an hour to another place, I will never come back here. I do not recommend this place to anybody, but especially not to any other women.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I received excellent service from the entire Top Gear team. They answered all my questions and explained everything I needed to know in great detail. I had a ton of work that needed to be done and everything was completed in less than 2 full days. Naveed was so friendly and helpful. Naveed and his staff are very kind and professional. I highly recommend this place especially if you don t have a regular mechanic. Work is very well done. They keep in constant communication with you with updates and are reasonably priced.They went out their way to fix my bumper, and grill without asking with no extra charge. Kindness goes a long way. Excellent service! I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and honest they were, and at a great price! I paid $85 for my inspection when everyone else isn t he area was quoting be between 90 & 120. I am so used to waiting hours and having mechanics tell me that I need repairs I know I don t need (my mother and grandfather were both mechanics and taught me the trade). I am optimistic that this will be my new regular mechanic!Service: Vehicle Inspection

Terrible service, they rid my car. Left the old parts that they replaced in my car, use a zip tie to assemble my ignition, and through my glove department, and I have to use two separate keys to unlock my door and start my car. The first week they had my car, my insurance company contacted them to send pictures and the estimate, the owner never did. I would not recommend anyone to go there.

I had a Maryland state inspection done on my 2016 Volvo C90. When I dropped off the vehicle i was greeted with perfect customer service, and an accurate time of pick up for my car. When visiting Baltimore from 600 miles away our car started having a noise in the front end. We took it to Top Gear to inspect (I thought it was a wheel bearing) but they drove it, looked at it on a tack for 30 minutes and took me out and showed me the CV Joints we re both bad. One more than the other. When the guy at the counter got my address and realized we were way out of town I could tell he was genuinely concern for our situation. He said it would be about 5:00 ( and that s normal) so we decided to stay another night at the beautiful Marriott Baltimore Waterfront because, why not. He called me at 2:30! Telling me it was ready..! 2:30!! That was awesome. We of course stayed and the car is driving wonderful. The price was exactly what I thought it would be so the DID NOT price gouge or mark up, nothing. I don t know about other garages, but if I lived here I would go to Top Gear for every repair. I m very impressed.

I was able to get a same day appointment and had my state inspection done here. It was pretty fast (70 minutes), reasonably priced, and everyone was very nice. I waited there while my car was getting looked at; they offered me water several times and the waiting room was very comfortable. I appreciated them running through any other information I would need for my registration since I was moving from out of state as well. I plan on going back when I need an inspection again.

A state trooper was kind enough to give me a repair order for my lack of brake light. I was kind enough to comply and repair it but dumb enough to forget to get it signed off on. One Suspended Registration letter later and I arrived at Top Gear.Had I known my MINI had only one back-up light I would have understood the first question Syed asked me while inspecting my lights. I didn't so I left Top Gear and went home frustrated at the entire world. After a bit of Googling I called Syed back and told him what he already suspected. I drove back a more educated man and everything was taken care of in under 10 minutes.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I called for a MD state inspection on a Saturday. I REALLY needed it done fast! They took me right in. Did their job, offered me a cold drink, and finished really fast. They were warm in conversation and even complimented my car. I felt really great about the experience. I even heard them talking to a customer about a repair and was explaining all of the costs and why it needed repaired. Very open. When my warranty runs out, I will definitely come here for repairs. Thank You, Top Gear!Later I did find a circular scratch on my black painted wheel from where the mechanic took the tire off and rebalanced it. Not sure why they didn't cover it. Probably a clamp while spin balancing. I'm changing my rating.

I got a MD state inspection at Top Gear Auto Shop and am pleased with the service that I was provided. The staff were were friendly and helpful. The inspection took a bit over 90 minutes, and it is recommended that you call to make an appointment...mine was same day. I called around 10:30am on a Saturday and was told there was availability at 1pm.

The mechanic told me that i needed 2 new lower control arms because of some minor spider cracks on the bushings. They had no play in them and completely intact. They said my rear rotors were bad but sismt eben test th with a guage. Infact i disnt see him test any of the components with any equipment the way you are supposed to. I got my inspection done here and the whole team is great. They are so friendly and welcoming as well. It was the best car experience I ve ever had to be honest. I love the service so much I am getting my repairs done at this shop too. I definitely recommend their business. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!!

Too notch service and fair pricing. As a new customer and a woman I was thankful to receive a thorough breakdown of the issues, active and friendly communication, and not overcharged! Job well done and hopefully I won t need to return soon but will definitely be my go to if need be. Thank you

Called in the morning needing a short-notice Maryland first-time vehicle safety inspection. He said sure, stop on by. I dropped the car off and waited in the lobby since it was my only ride (great wifi btw). The vehicle almost passed but a bushing on a piece of the suspension was damaged (they had the owner come look at it to see if they could pass it, but it was just too damaged.) They got a replacement part in half an hour and had it replaced in less than 2 hours since notification. They even brought the broken part out to prove it was damaged and why it failed the inspection. A bit higher on the labor costs, but I couldn't complain because I was a walk-in and was able to get everything registered the same day!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

I had an excellent experience getting my Maryland State Inspection at Top Gear. Availability to come in was super convenient as I was able to drive straight there after calling for an appointment. Great they are open on weekends. My wait time for the inspection was reasonable and the service was honest, friendly, and a good price. I would definitely recommend coming here and I will be returning for any work for my Prius in the future.
