Excellent experience - I came in with a screw in one of my tires, fearing I'd need a new one. Instead, the folks at K&S patched it up and got me on my way again. Service was fast, people were kind, and the waiting room was clean. You can't really ask for more!I'll also say, this wasn't my first visit. I took a previous car here to get checked out, and K&S found an issue that had caused need for massive repairs and never been caught. They are thorough in the ways that matter, and I've already told my fiance this is our car shop for the time being.

K and S are family. They take care of you and are always honest and upfront. I ve been taking my cars to this establishment since 2017 when I bought my first Volvo. Nearing a decade later I will never take my cars anywhere else but K and S because of their professionalism and expertise on European cars. Thank you David and Gary for always taking care of me.

I was avoiding getting my headlights & brake lights fixed for the longest time thinking it was going to cost me an arm and a leg. Was avoiding driving at night for too long. I called and the woman who runs the admin told me to bring it in and they d see if they could fix it up. They replaced all three within 40 minutes and it only cost me $25. They were super friendly and helpful & the shop was nice with a huge waiting room. I m not sure why they don t have 5 stars, will definitely be doing my routine auto work here from now on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Coming from someone who doesn't know cars and dreads when something breaks - I got my taillight replaced at K&S this morning. David was super friendly on the phone and his employee (who I wish I knew his name) fixed the light in literally 10 min. It was the most stress-free experience. There's a lot of car repair options in Hampden, but K&S is friendly, professional and fast! I'll definitely be back.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great place, honest and trustworthy team! Saved me from buying a car that had engine issues by doing an inspection. Whichever car I buy, they'll be my new mechanics!Update: a year later, K&S saved me again by checking out an urgent issue with my car and getting the warranty claim filed etc. These folks are just the best. Straightforward, very very skilled, efficient, and awesome people.

These folks are awesome. We live in Ellicott City... But we'll be back. Though, hopefully not too soon. If you drive a Volvo, this is your mechanic

Mr. Khan and K&S are a BLESSING to our community. They diagnosed the issues with my Maserati and gave me a very thorough report. They provided quality work with professionalism in a timely manner at an extremely fair price. Mr. Khan s family has been providing high quality services at fair prices to Baltimore for many years. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This place is fantastic. They are incredibly friendly, very reasonably priced, and do an excellent job communicating what work needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and why it costs what it does. I have recommended K&S to friends and co-workers and they have all had an equally great experience.

This is the best auto shop I have ever had. I have been a customer for over twenty years and stopped only because I bought a Toyota which they do not service . But two Audis,a 17 year old Mercedes, a Honda, and many Volvos have been serviced . They are experts and are completely oriented to their customers. Their prices are fair and they will work till the job is done right.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

Though the front desk and mechanic staff were very friendly I will NEVER take my car to K&S again. They overcharge and will rip you off. Especially if you are a woman. They charged me $550 to replace 2 tires that were only about $150 each. They told me they were $220.But worse I was in a tricky situation a week later and had to tow my car there. They wanted to charge me $800 to fix it and I was stuck. I had another mechanic come in and take a second look, the owner then turned nasty. The second mechanic got the car running and got it working within and hour with just a little lube. No $300 part, no $500 service fee. Lube and one hour.SO needless to say they are there to take advantage and get your money not to help you.

This shop doesn't seem to skrew around with upsells and extras, they just want to make your car work.I came in with a brake related squeek at low speed and a separate rattle, they figured out the latter quickly (rusty heat shield), and when they couldn't find the issue in the former, they told me so after checking for any potential safety issues, deeming the car safe.I did end up taking it back with additional data about when the sound happened and so forth as the sound only happened after driving the car for a mile (understandably difficult for a shop to reproduce). During that second visit, they fixed the issue, and got my car back promptly without pressing me to pitch more money for additional "suggested" repairs. This is where I'll take my outback for the foreseeable future, they fix the problem and don't try to hassle you for more money if there aren't real issues.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

If I could give zero stars, I would. These guys are crooks who will take you for everything if they can.I took my new, used car that I had purchased a month earlier from a dealer to have them go over it before a family trip. You'd think the car had just come from the junkyard with the laundry list of repairs they came up with. I was not aware of any front suspension trouble but agreed to have them do one repair-replace the front strut mounts, cost $400. 12 months later my strut mounts are completely shot.Around the same time I took my wife's car in for a check engine light for an evaporative emissions leak. They replaced the Purge Valve, cost $200. Within 7 days the check engine light was back on with the same code, same problem. My last trip to these fiends, I was getting a sporadic service engine light for a hard shift. This time I did some homework on Google. Everyone suggested replacing the Pressure Control Solenoid. So, when I take it to these guys I asked them to check that first. They said the solenoid was fine and suggested flushing the transmission fluid and replacing the transmission pan gasket and filter, cost $400. Against my better judgement and really out of desperation, I told them to go ahead. So, they did the work, cleared the code and within 24 hours the light was back on with a hard shift. Took it to the dealer who replaced the Solenoid and the problem was gone. Now, 12 months later, the gasket they replaced (which was replaced for no reason at all) is leaking fluid all over the place. I took it to a great shop (D&J Auto), just around the corner, who redid all the work K&S had botched for 40% less. The moral of the story: stay far, far away from these scoundrels.

David is a genius. In the field of car repairs, he has the energy of a teenager and the wisdom of an aged wizard. He can explain car problems in such a simple manner that even people with little or no knowledge about cars can understand the details. Highly trustworthy and recommended!

Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good doctor. Once you get one you don't want to loose them. I found K&S honest and fair. They fixed what needed doing and didn't push other stuff they could have. Also did quick work and was easy to deal with.

These guys really helped me out of a bind. I was across the street trying to rent a U-Haul trailer to deliver my son to college the next morning. I could not get the lights to work so U-Haul would not let me leave. Amir Kahn came across the street, on a busy day, in the rain and worked diligently for over an hour to get everything working. In addition, he gave me a full print out of errors and conditions from my car's computer. Real neighborhood service. Knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and the kind of people that have an uncanny desire to get to the bottom of problems. If I lived closer, these guys would be my only go to place. The college drop off went smooth from that point on. Thanks K&S Associates.Service: Electrical

Appalling service. Not even very apologetic for wasting my time by stringing me along for almost two weeks about a part they couldn't be bothered to drive 20 minutes to pick up because it was too much bother. One excuse after another and it's never their fault. Friendliness is nice to have, but I'd settle for professional accountability and timely communication any day.

Someone smashed in our side window (to steal the GPS) last week. My insurance did not pay (below deductible) but gave me the name of a company that would repair it for 192.- (they even come to your home or place of business to do the job). However, I had been at K&S a few months ago to have my brakes replaced and since they had screwed up the job (which they admitted and, to their credit, they fixed it this time, for free), I had to go back to them anyway and I thought I might have the glass replaced at the same time. I also wanted to be nice to K&S and give them the business. BIG MISTAKE!When I called, they (Ken, the boss) told me "it'll be about 200 bucks for the window, come on over, we do it right now". We went there right away and left the car but in the afternoon he called again, saying they did not have the window in stock and they could not do it at all that day. He said that he had just ordered the parts and it would be done by 9am next day. He said the cost would be 'about 200 - 250 dollars.'I waited for a call the whole next day. At 4.45pm I called them and they said they had just finished the job. The bill for the window replacement was $422.71 !! The guy I talked to said that he knew nothing about the amount, the person responsible is the boss (Ken) and he leaves everyday at 2pm. There was absolutely no justification for the doubling of the quoted price, it was not that they had any trouble fitting the window or anything. He said "you can take it up with Ken on Monday" but he refused to give me the car if I did not pay right now.We had a big party that weekend and absolutely needed the car so I had no choice but to pay.I called them after the weekend, gave them my name and asked to talk to Ken. The first thing he did was to insult me over the phone and then hang up on me!!! (he claimed later he thought that I was a telemarketer). At my second attempt, he agreed to talk to me and told me all kinds of stories. Like he did not know the price of the parts when he gave me the quote on the phone. When I pointed out to him that he supposedly had just ordered them when he had called me, he changed the story and said that the "200 to 250 dollars" was only for the parts but not the labor. When I asked him whether the expected me to believe him that he gave customers quotes only for parts rather than for the whole job, he changed his story line again and now bad-mouthed the company that does the job for 192.-: Surely they must be doing a bad job, they use bad parts. Etc. What a schmuck! In the end he said he will reduce the labor by 1/2 hour . Wonderful, so it will be only $350.-, instead of the 200.- he quoted me originally, or the 250.- he quoted me after he priced the part.To be fair, it seems they did a good job on the replacement. The window works fine and they cleaned up all the broken glass. But what a pain to deal with these, sorry I have to say that, crooks. He knew perfectly well that I would never have given him the job had he been honest and quoted me his price so he gave me a price that he knew the competition would charge. In my book, this is a clear lie and fraudulent. And of course, once he had the car in his shop, he knew he had me by the balls and refused to return it unless I paid his fantasy price. I call that extortion.I will not go back there.

Very personable staff. Up-front about what can or can't be expected. Offered advice and suggestions even before coming in. Accommodated my wonky need for pickup. Stuck to their estimate despite some challenges.
