Took my car in for a check engine light. They were very thorough in their diagnosis. They also told me things to look for moving forward as my VW has 95K miles on it. I will be taking my cat to them for now on. Thanks Autobahn!

Great staff! Very friendly, and helpful. If you re looking for a quick race, and axe throwing, this location is great. However, there s only one indoor track here. The Jessup location has the two tracks. Enjoy

While traveling to visit Towson U from the Northeast we experienced a noise issue from the front end of our Audi A4 Avant. We searched for Audi Repair in Towson, MD and found Autobahn of Towson. Called and spoke to owners Susan and Dave who, though totally booked, test drove the car and checked it out. Dave gave us the go-ahead to not worry and it was fine to deal with the issue when we got back home. They are wonderful for fitting us travelers in. I have had to take my Volkswagen in to this shop twice in the last six months. The first time was to fix the anti-lock break system, the second for a routine check-up. Both times, these guys were wonderful!The first time I ended up taking my car to the dealership which wanted to charge me over $3,000. After I decided to look around at other places, I found this shop and was thoroughly pleased with the work they did fixing my break system. Added bonus was how reasonably priced it was! A fraction of what the dealership wanted to charge me.Second time around they were just as great! It was a bit higher than I was used to paying for my oil on my previous cars however those were not European made so I am sure the type of oil is different and that had something to do to with it.I will absolutely go back each time I need something done and I highly recommend this place to anyone I know who has German made cars!Services: Brake service & repair, Oil change

Dave the owner has always been an honest helpful expert when it comes to fixing my BMW's & VW's. I've been using the shop for 20 years and will continue too. Even if the price is similar to a dealership, their honesty and skill will always outweigh the dealership model of "replace and charge for as much as you can get from a customer". I feel comfortable using them and their friendly and helpful manner is why so many folks in the area keep going back. I dropped my wife's Mini off to have the blower motor replaced. When I came to pick the car up he handed me a bill for $100 for a diagnosis and told me he didn't have time to do the job, but he would give me 100 off if I rescheduled. My point being I did not require diagnostics, I knew what was wrong when I dropped it off. I'd be happy to update my review if the owner refunds my money and acknowledges his mistake.

Absolute con men... I wanted to have a positive battery cable replaced and these guys quoted me $585. I decided against them doing the work and they charged $80 diagnostic fee, even though I came in and told them i needed the positive cable to my fuse box replaced.I went to the dealership and had the work done for $321, which was still high as the labor cost was $195 at the dealership, but for peace of mind and the warranty I had it done anyway.I have never seen a mom and pop mechanic charge far more than the actual dealership.If you want to lose the shirt on your back go with these guys, if not id look else where.

I have a 2012 Volkswagen Passat and I brought my vehicle here after doing a lot of shopping around and review surfing for front brakes and rotors. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job expediting my service. They did not have me waiting all day on a Saturday. I paid $400 for front brakes and rotors which was great because the dealership was going to charge me somewhere in the $700's. I would definitely come back just on the customer service alone.

I had the pleasure of working with Autobahn of Towson when I side swiped and damaged another vehicle. I wanted to share my experience and recommend their services. Family owned shop that specializes in German cars. The service is great and for most services, if you are in by 9 you will get your car back the same day. I find that prices are always lower than the dealership for the same services. Always happy to come back and I trust their services and repairs.

Being someone that has rebuilt many BMW's on my own I'm aware of the work needed to do just about any job. Normally I would do just about any repair myself. However our new situation leaves me without a garage. After calling and having a quick chat with them I knew this was the place to go. These guys know thetheir stuff they work quick and clean. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work they do. There might be someone out there that will do it cheaper but these guys do it right.

Excellent. Based on my experience over the years owning BMWs and VWs, these guys are very good. Don't be confused, some repairs on these types of cars can be expensive because the parts are expensive and hard to get to, but my experience with Autoban is that they've been very fair and done great work. I just picked up my current car which the dealer said would cost $2,400 to fix (which was a bunch of bull) and they fixed it without adding a part. I'm very appreciative of their work.

Had strange sound from a brake hose leak on my wife s car. The Autobahn experts diagnosed and cured the problem. In addition the replaced a bushing on the front control arm vastly improving the ride. The experts seem to get it right the first time saving time and money. BMW325i. I can't sing the praises of this place enough. Their prices are fair, they do work in a timely manner, and they're very trustworthy. I've even considered that when I go to get a new car, I will need to get another European one so I don't need to find a new mechanic!

Diagnosed a rear axle issue causing wheel speed sensor issues, ordered specific part, and replaced the next business for a reasonable and fair price for a bmw x3. Friendly and knowledgeable service, looking forward to going back as much as one can when their car breaks down

Okay, so I will fully admit I'm a young female college student who is fairly clueless about car stuff. (Okay, well at least I know how to check my oil for Christ's sake). So, in theory, I'm the perfect customer to be taken advantage of by auto repair shops, no? Well...I originally took my 2003 BMW into a BMW dealership and damn near had a heart attack when they gave me an endless list of "necessary" repairs on my car. They wanted almost $1000 for rear shocks (!?!?!) And my front axle shafts and inner seals would run me another $2300. Ummmm....lemme get a second opinion....Sooo...I looked up German car specialists in the area and found Autobahn. I was still semi-paranoid I was going to be taken advantage of, but I put my trust in these guys based on all the other stellar reviews and I am incredibly happy I made the decision to go here! Dave, the owner, advised me that my shocks weren't in perfect shape but he could tell they were fairly new since they were after market shocks put on by the previous owner...and therefore did not need to be replaced immediately! There is a small leak in one of the shocks, but nothing major. They also investigated other abnormal sounds I was hearing and checked out the axles, in which they found some play in both the axles and transfer case (a very expensive fix, and worth more than what the car is even valued at), but again, Dave advised me these were not things that absolutely had to be done right now and to just be gentle with the car. They threw some oil in the front differential that appeared to have been leaking, charged me a very fair cost of about $100 for their time and service, and sent me on my way. What a relief! My car isn't in perfect shape but they didn't bullshit me into getting a bunch of unnecessary and expensive repairs. If/when I do run into issues in the future I will absolutely be coming back to Autobahn. Thanks Dave!

i went in there for a valve adjustment. Dave is very knowledgeable and experienced in his work. No other German shops in the area were able to do the job but he did it and also he went above and beyond fixing other things. Also, they charged me an extremely fair price it was well below what i expected. Thank you so much!!I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Great shop. Just be upfront and transparent with them and they will do the same to you. I'm always skeptical of any mechanic and always do my research, but I've found these guys to be very knowledgeable, fair, and honest. Frank and Dave are really down to earth guys and will answer any question you have. I'm glad I've found my mechanic for my Volvos!

If you're looking for honesty and fair prices, this place can't be beat. I've been taking my BMW there for at least 6 years and I've never been disappointed. Their knowledge surpasses any other BMW repair shop that I've ever been to. I can't recommend this place enough.

Great, honest place. Brought my VW passat here several times before hearing the honest opinion that i needed to sell it. The owner does a great job. Have taken my german car to several other places and have never been offered as good car service AND customer service. Quick, smart, honest, GREAT service.

This is place is the best. Unfortunately I've moved away from the area but still occasionally call them for advice over the phone about my aging Audi and they always go above and beyond to explain my options and give a reasonable estimate.

Experience wasn't very good. Just wanted to get a price quote over the phone for replacing an eccentric shaft sensor and valve cover gasket. Whoever I spoke to on the phone would not give me a price quote, and suggested I bring the car to his shop before he would do any work. Tone was not very customer friendly when he announced he "was not even going to go there" when I asked for a price quote over the phone. I tried to see if we could find agreement, asking him if I was being out of place asking for a price quote, so we continued to talk about what the car needed. I said I had taken the vanity cover off and noticed oil leaking out of the eccentric shaft sensor, to which he stated he would not do any work on a car that's already been worked on.I kept running into dead-ins with my discussion, just wanted to see if I could get some work done and a ball-park price quote. Maybe I was out of line, but I found the overall tone and manner of this place to be very off-putting, leading me to think that this is not a place you would want to work with or deal with, if this is how they treat people over the phone.I do not recommend dealing with Autobahn of Towson.

Just got my first service done by them, friendly, knowladgable, and got my car serviced quickly, only complaint is that it took 2 weeks to get my car in, but shows how busy they are and how many people go there.I have an 07 jetta wolfsburg, and Most likely will only take my baby there, My dad has been the only mechanic I let touch my car for a long time, glad I found a trustworthy mechanic, will be back.

I highly recommend Autobahn of Towson! They have serviced my 2009 with 220k miles since the warranty lapsed and it runs like the day I bought it. Honest, fair and consistently find and fix the issue with no bs.

I've been going to Autobahn since 2011 when the local bmw dealership quoted me $800 for a steering column replacement when the steering wheel seemed very heavy. Instead, I went to Authobahn and they fixed the problem of a heavy steering wheel by cleaning off some grease and charged $45. Problem solved. Since then I have been back on a 328 and an X5 for both maintenance and repairs, and had a very fair experience every time.

They are awesome. We have 2 vehicles that we will take no where else but there. Have been taking multiple vehicles there for more than 5 years now. Vehicles always come back great and the prices are reasonable for the types of SUVs we have.

Very nonchalant and not friendly, when inquring about my low beam failure, i was told it's on now, explained that's the problem it comes on sometimes but not all the time, mechanic informed me it's nothing we can do its on ..also was told i had low fuel pressure which could either be the fuel filter or pump and take it back to who replaced the fuel pump, obviously i brought it to you because i had no faith in the previous shop. 100 dollars wasted
