Been going to Dave's Auto for decades now and they have always been and still are AMAZING!! The owner and lead auto mechanic Chris is just outstanding! A genuine person who treats everyone with kindness! His work is top-notch and I trust him with all my auto needs! Thanks Chris!!

First timer for using Daves Auto Service in Annapolis. Very impressed with the professionalism through the entire process from making the appointment two weeks out to dropping off the vehicle to picking it up when promised. I ve used a handful of other auto service shops in Annapolis and have not experienced anything close to this type of service. BTW, Daves cost was less then half of other estimates I received from shops in West Annapolis.

Mannn, Highly recommend! This is a real comment!! Just picked my car up! They communicate so well & make sure you re well taken care of! I will not be taking my vehicles nowhere else if ever involved in another accident! Thanks a lot! From the fellas to Jess they were all helpful!

I have used Dave's a few times now. Over a year ago I got a new transmission for half the price I was quoted elsewhere and it still works great! Today I had a wheel bearing replaced for a good price. They figure it out within 30 minutes and fixed it this morning. The front desk is friendly and efficient. They always answer the phone. They allow you to wait in the office, or to drop off. Highly recommend!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

I gotta say they a thorough, rate is high but everyone is. But I noticed they will attempt to rip you off like 50 or 60 bucks that isn't accounted for. I know most mechanics charge an additional 20% on parts to make a profit. I get it, but I buy my own parts because I know that and I know that I will be getting good quality parts if I buy them myself. When I got a quote on radiator I broke down the quote and there was 50 or 60 not accounted for. Also when they did an inspection, they don't give you the receipt or print out of the inspection. I picked up my car after hours, they could have left it in the car. I called twice to get and have them email to me anf they didn't. BTW -Huge red flag if they do not give a receipt or a copy of the inspection. They are always booked a week - 2 weeks out. My partner said him and his family has been going here for years. The only thing positive I like about them is that they are thorough, but crooked lol. Also I don't even have to ask to know that the female who answer the calls is the wife or mom. When she answers the phone she always sounds like she is annoyed and always tries to rush you off the phone. She treats you like you are being a burden, and I can already tell they encourage that unprofessional behavior. She has no kooth or patience and should not be dealing with the public.

The kindest, most capable people who do their level best to work you into their schedule if your issue is urgent. I ll be returning there in a heartbeat, rather than returning to the Koon s Toyota dealership who only want your $$ and after getting it have no time for you.

I absolutely love Dave's Auto. As a young woman I feel that my vehicle is safe with them and that they do true, honest work. I always pay a fair price and they communicate well what they are doing and why. My father has been a customer for probably well over 15 years with Dave. So I have trusted Dave from the start. I have taken my car to him several times in the past couple years, been very satisfied with the work he has done. Checkups, oil changes, filter changes, headlight and fog light issues, etc. Dave's crew does it well.Dave does his work with ethics and with a lot of heart, as well as his staff.For as long as I live in Maryland I will be a lifelong customer for as long as Dave continues to run the shop. Dave and his staff are certainly something special.

Dave�s has saved us time and money on a number of occasions. Always reasonable prices, and willing to repair rather than replace parts when that�s feasible. My family�s latest good experience was today. This is our go-to garage for all car concerns.

I have used David and the shop for 20 years and remained loyal during their change of locations. David consulted on a Chevy truck after 3 k spent at dealership that died repeatedly died while running- found and fixed short for $20. Nice guy and has done AYC Wednesday night for 20 years

Nice folks but they charge to much. I thought I might support a local business and hopefully save over dealership pricing. Wrong. My oil and fuel filter changes was $50 more than the dealership. Labor was fair, but parts cost was way high. I wish them the best, but I won't be coming back.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Was referred to Daves Auto by the Arnold,MD group on facebook. Dave is honest and responsible with prices the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Have taken 2 of my vehicles to Dave for Major work and minor. He will do his best to make sure you spend less as possible unlike other mechanics.

Reliable, trustworthy mechanics who give you the truth straight and get the job done without any fanfare. Their goal is to keep you in your current car as long as you so wish. I'm pleased to have them work on my and my wife's cars.

I ve always had good service and found Dave s Auto to be fair, honest, and perform good work. Unfortunately I did not experience a safe or comfortable visit today. I m disheartened to learn today that they aren t participating in our community effort against covid.I spent two hours in a small 8x6 foot waiting area in an office with a worker who refused to wear a mask and customers who weren t required by the establishment to wear masks. The chairs were spaced only a couple feet apart. The owner who did my state inspection did not wear a mask while test driving my vehicle. Today covid cases went up by another 2,692 and 46 more people died in Maryland because people aren t wearing a simple mask and social distancing.Hope they will institute some new policies to keep themselves and our community safe from our invisible common enemy. For now I will avoid the shop until covid is far less rampant.

My "Check Engine" light came on. I called Dave's Auto Service, and Dave came to the phone (during a very busy part of his day), and told me it might be something as simple as my gas tank cap not being screwed on tight.I immediately checked the gas tank cap and re-fitted it. When I turned the engine on (with Dave still on the phone), Voila! -- the light disappeared.Thanks Dave. Your taking time out from your busy schedule to answer my question is one of the many reasons that I am a loyal customer of yours and why I always recommend you to others.

I've been to Dave at least 3 times with my '73 truck. Service has always been excellent, he charges fairly for only the work you want, and most importantly he communicates well.

As a young woman when it comes to car shopping it s a strenuous task. I purchased a car from here that was sold as mint condition just for the axle to be rusted.

Took my car in for long startup times. They replaced the crankshaft position sensor and told me to pick it up. $150 for that. When I arrived, the car took just as long to startup.Took it back, and they fiddled with the fuel pump connection and cleaned out the MAF. Another $150 for that. The car started fine that day but was back to long startup times the very next day. They also forgot to reset my idle controls so the car revved up to 2300 RPM while idle.I took it back and they reset the idle, and said I needed a new fuel pump which they would install for $400. They refused to discount it despite their wasted efforts from my previous two trips. Thanks, I'll install the pump myself.

They did good work on the car. But communication could have been better during the process as it sat for a bit with no updates, and when my wife went to pick up the car they didn't know they had it.

As a man of 30 years parts experience, I'm proud to say this is where I myself take my ride as I'm too busy selling parts to work on my own stuff these days. A shop with ethics and a man with a heart. Rare these days my friends.
