It is a bizarre shop. My transmission was perfectly working except that sometimes it glitched. When I called them for the appointment, they asked about my problem, including error codes, car make, and mileage. Then, they put me in a long waiting line for several weeks. After diagnostics, they said they could only propose a transmission change because of error codes, car make, and millage. I wonder why they put me in a waiting line because their conclusion was based entirely on the information given by phone. Interestingly, all the glitches disappeared after I flushed my transmission, leveled the fluid, and changed the filter.UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSEYes, it is a pity that my original review from a local guide account disappeared. I suspect it went to a manual moderation after the owner complained about it. But here it is.ORIGINAL REVIEW:My transmission was perfectly working most of the time, but it went into limbo mode occasionally in certain easily reproducible conditions. So I brought my car to the shop. The guys proposed that changing the entire transmission was the only solution and that the other solutions would be just a waste of money. I brought my car to the other shop for a second opinion. The other serviceman said the transmission should be OK because my glitch is readily reproducible in certain conditions and easily removable by switching the ignition on and off. He hypothesized that the reason for glitching could be easily removed by changing a filter. So I did. I changed the fluid and the filter, and the glitches were gone. No matter how I try for the last 2k miles, I cannot reproduce them anymore.THEN I TRIED TO UPDATE THE ORIGINAL REVIEW because the owner answered with a lie that I proposed to use used parts, so I decided to answer by changing the original review.I tried to respond that the dialogue about used parts was just a discussion, and I always agreed with their policies, including what parts to use.In fact, there is a missing part that the owner forgot to tell.After diagnostics, I tried to convince them to start with a simple fluid change without a warranty. But they refused and convinced me that it would be just a loss of money without a repair service.Then, after some further discussion, they agreed to change a conductor plate without warranty. However, there was a problem with a conductor plate; they could not order it from the dealer because of Mercedes policy. And it was they who proposed to buy a refurbished part from Amazon. Another option they suggested was that I go to the dealer with documents for the car, buy a dealer part, and bring it to the shop. And so we agreed that I buy a part from the dealer, and they change it without any warranty.Later, when I was about to buy a part at the dealer, I called the shop to schedule an appointment. But, suddenly, they changed their mind, saying that they were not ready to serve me as agreed because they didn't have the appropriate software and would never have it.So I left without the service and lost a lot of time.It was actually luck because the simpler and cheaper solution helped perfectly.I will leave this review unmodified no matter what the owner will respond just to prevent it from disappearing again.Roger, I am sorry I cannot leave your responses not answered because of your misrepresentation of the story. I don't know why you think that it is a different story; in my opinion, this one is just one with added details required to answer your responses.

I would like to thank Frank and all the guys at Annapolis Transmission! Having transmission isses when you are traveling and a long way from home its scary...They are kind and very knowledgeable...If you need help with your car I would recommend you use Annapolis Transmission..Thank you again!!!

I was traveling through Annapolis and was having Transmission issues. Roger took my call, told me he would run some diagnostics and we would go from there. Not only did he interrupt his daily work to help me, he was professional and spent quality time assessing my truck. Transmissions went while driving to work. Called them up they stated they could look at the car the next day and would run diagnosis the following day. Got a call back the same day. Fixed my car up within two weeks (parts were on back order). Amazing service, timely, friendly and professional! They went above and beyond. 100% recommend.Service: Transmission

Excellent service, and their reputation for honesty is well-deserved: I came in with an issue I thought I had with my transmission. They could've charged me for repairs I didn't need without me ever knowing, but instead diagnosed the issue as minor-- they said I didn't need a repair and didn't even charge me for the diagnosis! Really an amazing place, and should definitely be the first choice for anyone in the area with transmission-related issues or needs.Service: Transmission

During our 8 hour drive from Toronto to Annapolis on our way to Florida, we had a whirring noise from the transmission. Roger answered the phone 20 minutes before opening in the morning, I explained our situation and he was good enough to arrange vehicles to see us first thing which was 25 mins from my call. He took our truck for a drive and had diagnosed the problem within 10 mins. Our front differential was bad. The good news was that we can leave it in 2H and we would be able to make the trip to Florida and home without issue. He said, "no charge" and we were on our way with little delay. His whole team was friendly and professional. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here for a good honest job!! Thanks guys!!

Would absolutely recommend them to anybody looking for a fair, honest, and professional shop. Over the past few months my car has felt, to me, like it was lacking power, holding gears longer, and shifting a little slower. Nothing crazy, but I had convinced myself that it was a sign of something wrong. I brought the car into their shop, they test drove it and checked fluids, and ultimately I received a call later in the day that everything checked out fine. They reassured me my car felt great, and nothing out of the ordinary was noticed. When I went in later to pick up the car, they assured me it was no charge and to not sweat it. In a situation where I m not familiar with auto transmissions, they could have recommended a fluid change or anything else as I was none the wiser. However their honesty was appreciated and they were up front with me and ultimately trust is the biggest factor when finding a good shop. I will be bringing my vehicles back to them in the future for any work I m looking to get done as I can trust a fair and honest job.

They looked over my car, gave me the rundown of what was wrong with it and explained the timeframe. Super nice and professional especially since I did not have an appointment. I ve used Roger in the past with all of my cars and followed him to this shop! You will not be disappointed. I thought the rear main seal on my 02 Silverado had failed. I took it here on good recommendation and was not disappointed! John immediately knew about a TSB concerning my oil filler tube. He said they'd get 7nder it, clean it up, see what was leaking and let me know. I was prepared for a major expense repair and told them as much.Turns out it was a bad oil pressure sensor, they replaced it that same day and my cost was roughly 1/3 what I was expecting.Good, knowledgeable guys, honest work, competitive rates.Highly recommended. Their specialty is transmission work, keep that in mind.

I've been using Annapolis Transmission for several years for my car problems. They did a first class job on the repair and replacement of the transmission, together with solving suspension issues of my 68 Mustang Fastback - my favorite car. But they have also done excellent work on my 94 BMW and my Sprinter RV. I recommend them highly - they provide first class work at a fair price.

These guys were great. Had to get a rebuild on a Mazda3 transmission. They got it done in the promised time and at a great price - even with a clutch added in they hit the low end of the estimate. Went the extra mile and picked me up at Budget on West Street when it was done so I could easily drop off my rental. Friendly guys, no BS, and exactly the kind of shop a car person should look for. Can't recommend enough. Feels like I'm driving a new car.

The guys at Annapolis transmissions are real pros. When I first brought my truck there under the assumption the transmission was acting up, they correctly advised that I take care of the other engine issues (air flow sensors, vacuum issues) to ensure those things weren't causing the problem. They sent me around the corner to Dave's Auto Service to have those things fixed (great place!). Once those were ruled out, they correctly diagnosed the transmission issue (torque converter) and rebuilt the transmission on schedule and at a discounted price. You can trust your vehicle to Dan and the guys at Annapolis Transmissions.

These guys are the real deal. Period! They do whatever ,and I do mean whatever it takes , to get the job done and to get it done right . They completely stand behind everything they do. These days it is hard to find somebody who specialize in something you may know nothing about , and still be able to trust that you are in caring and confident , honest and extremely competent hands. Their business ethic is impeccable. Just like the the good ole days , where they value their customer and treat them like they would their own family. They are not out for a quick buck. Dan Kelley has special customers who are loyal to him for a lifetime . THAT dose not happen by accident! Again ... the REAL DEAL.

FREE Transmission Health CheckIncludes: Road test, fluid check,and our expert opinionIs what there ad says so that's what I was going by they said I need a transmission rebuild ok so I told my wife the coat of $3200 so she checked around got a quote from Atlantic transmission for $1800 now that a big difference so I ask if you could match the price or come close I will go with you hey didn't come close then they tried to say I owed for a tow I told him I drove it in an dropped off then he said I owe some money is said for we did Road test, fluid check,and our expert opinion your ad said it free so he laughed said Nothing's for free.... so I had to pay $112.. so the transmission I had rebuilt by Atlantic transmission workers better than new runs just fine with no problems for half the price with the same Warranty...
