This shop literally deserves ZERO stars! I dropped my car off on Saturday March 30th for evaluation of a drivetrain malfunction. They told me because it was close to noon that they wouldn t be able to inspect the car until Monday because the shop was about to close. I called them WEDNESDAY April 3rd after no one called to give me updates! I spoke to Brian. I told him to call/text me to keep me apprised to what was going on with the car. Two days later, I physically went to the shop after no one called with updates. Brian gave me a print out of all the drivetrain misfires that were in the computer chip. He said he had other cars to get to and that he would get to my car soon. On Thursday April 4th, I call the shop .because nobody called me. Brian told me I needed a new engine and literally quoted me $14k (yes you re reading this correctly). Then to make matters worse, I didn t even need a new engine! They didn t even bother to look at my car. My car literally sat in that shop for damn near 2 weeks! I told him to leave the keys in the car so I can pick it up. I took the car up the street to another mechanic on Thursday night. I forgot the name of the shop but the language is primarily Spanish. Literally the next morning, the lead mechanic called and told me I needed new spark plugs, coils, and a tuneup! 3 hrs later, my car was back home. The mechanic even dropped my car off. How sweet! The total cost was $400 a lot less than $14k! Moral of the story: Don t go to next generation mechanics! I am so disgusted with this place and their piss poor customer service.

I brought 2 cars there and both times were honest with what was wrong. The price was fair too. They also did the legwork in making sure my 3rd party warrenty would cover some of it that I had.

Good service. I have my state safety inspection done on my 2010 Lexus. They were prompt, professional, and reasonably priced.

Our van had an oil leak so we took it to Next Generation Mechanic to get it looked at, I told them I believe it was the rare main seal. We were told to leave it and they will let us know what was wrong with it. Someone called two days after stating it was the oil pan and not the rare main seal that I initially thought was leaking. I told them that I had replaced the oil pan five years ago but he said it was the oil pan and it will cost $810.00 to replace the oil pan. I told them Ok because I thought they were the experts. When I brought my van home the oil was and is still leaking. I took it back to them since they did not fix the problem, left the van for three days, no one called so I reached out to them and one of the guys said it s the rare main seal that s now leaking and it will cost me $1300.00. They do not even deserve a 1 star rating, a zero does it for them, I will never recommend Next Generation! Not trusted at all, total scammers!

Where is the loyalty? I come often for services, I have had no issue with trusting this place.I remember them they never remember you ,this is bad customer service. Your charged to check on a issue that brought your vehicle in a few months prior and paid to have fixed only to be charged again. This doesn't make since to me(same warning light). Had I known I would be charged for it I would not have wasted my time or yours. A little bit of goes a long way.

This business deserves an A++++ rating. I was in from out of state and discovered my gas tank strap had broken.I was in a huge bind with a very busy weekend and they came through Big time!!!!!Very friendly, courteous,professional and accomodating to our immediate need. I'm assuming it was the owner I was dealing with.He and his mechanic both were great! My dad says they get an A++++ rating for their professionalism, how quickly and efficiently they took care of us in an emergency situation and their price was very fair.I agree!Next Generation, Thank you for taking care of us the way you did.I highly recommend this business.

Thank you AD, Ryan & the whole crew at Next Generation for assisting me with a vehicle purchase gone wrong! My story is quite long, it is not completely resolved yet, so I will be brief and leave out names until this is completely resolved. I was scammed by a dealership stating the vehicle I purchased had a passing inspection, but I knew there was something wrong after I got home. I took it right to Next Generation the next day, who deemed the vehicle unsafe to drive and a fire hazard. The dealership refused to take the vehicle back, after only 2 days and I only drove 23 miles. AD assisted me with what to do, who to contact, and I am now in the process of getting my money back. The mechanic the dealership used for the vehicle inspection finally confessed to passing the reinspection over the phone without ever looking at the vehicle, he took the dealership's word that all repairs were completed, but they were not. The dealership & mechanic put my life and other innocent lives at risk just to make a few bucks! Thank you AD, Ryan & everyone at Next Generation for being an honest business and looking out for the safety of everyone! AD even allowed me to keep my vehicle on his lot until the MD state police vehicle safety inspection division told me what to do with it, which took an entire week. AD & Ryan were so helpful, honest & professional throughout the entire process!! I will continue to use Next Generation as my mechanic forever, and I encourage everyone to use Next Generation as their mechanic!Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Took car in for what I assumed was a speed sensor issue. I was correct and they replaced it. They didn't recommend anything else and were able to do it for a good price.

2nd time I've been here! AD is the man. Fast, and good! I'm 65 years old and I think I've been looking for this shop all my life. If it's broke, they'll fix it! If it's almost broke they'll tell you about it and if it's not broke they won't bother with it! Trustworthy shop and if my "paid for" 2006 Pontiac G6 needs help again I'll gladly take it back to AD and his folks!

We were recommended this place after a dealership continued to require us to come in for repairs (2011 Yukon). After realizing some of the repairs didn't seem accurate and overpriced, we ended up here. AD not only showed us what the EXACT problems were, but charged a fair priced. Recently we sent a 2004 Accura TL for repairs, quick turnaround, fair price (IMO). When he recommended two jobs that should be done together to save time and money, I knew we would be back!

I needed the alternator replaced on my 2008 Saab 9-5 Aero. Next Gen gave me a reasonable price to have the new one installed. Everyone I interacted with was extremely cordial, and professional. This company is AWESOME!! I'm so glad I found these guys, I read their reviews before going there and I thought to myself, good reviews so let's see if their true. I've tried many other mechanics/companies and they always fall short of professionalism, courtesy kindness,honesty ,etc.. Next Generation Mechanic actually chat with you as a human being and not just another paycheck and no bullcrap stories and excuses. They are up front,straight to the point, no hidden costs. They make you feel like you matter and your concerns. I have taken both of my vehicles there for several things now and they will get all of my business and I will definitely refer them to anyone in need of a mechanic. I own a Plumbing business for last 30 yrs and we are huge on integrity,, honesty and good value. Had a appointment for this past Monday @9amThey didn't get to it until Wednesday,And had it. And working on until close of bussiness Friday for diagnosis of emmison code and change of fuel pump, no direct communication. Than I pick vehicle up and tonneau bed cover was removed and not put back on and just thrown in the bed. And headlight was loose hanging.After not having my vehicle for a week than see how my vehicle was treated. I don't think I will returnService: Auto emissions testing

AD was honest, and gave valid advise on how best to go about fixing the problems I had with my 2003 Toyota Avalon which failed MD emissions. NGM replaced Catalytic converter, radiator, tune up, oil change, replaced check engine light. Any issues were promptly addressed. I ve been going here for over 9 years and the repairs and service are always excellent. They are very honest and trustworthy without coercing you into unnecessary repairs. AD has twice looked over used cars I was considering buying for my daughter and led us in the right direction both times. This place had fixed our entire engine, catalytic converters, portions of the exhaust, the electric diverter on the right side, and did a simple oil change. This was all within a year of getting my Kia Sorento, we had no option but to fix it as I had taken a loan out. These Mechanics will do the number one expectation I have for these kind of services, is communicate! As many others have described, I am a fully satisfied customer!I took my car in for diagnostics of a check engine light with a "known" code. Next Generation found the "known" code was not actually displaying but did pull an additional three codes that I wasn't notified of by another shop..."Oh Great" right? Hearing from others how honest Next Generation is, and seeing a lower than expected quote, I decided to go with their diagnosis for repair. All said and done, my check engine light has remained off, my fuel economy has increased by almost 4 mpg and best of all, the overall cost was very satisfactory when factoring in parts, a few hours of labor and diagnostics. Great staff, great mechanics and great experience all around!

Gives failed inspection and doesn t even have time to show you the bogus claims they made. Just a scam artist trying to take your money. Wouldn t even recommend them to my worst enemy.

5 stars isn't enough stars to give NG! I've been getting my vehicles serviced there since 2015 and I am beyond appreciative of the honesty and the integrity combined with great service that each person I've encountered at the shop! Being that there are different faces there since 2015 and I still have the same sense of comfort and security getting my vehicle serviced there speaks volumes to me. I see that honesty, integrity and transparency is just a part of the culture of THIS business in particular and every time I walk out of the shop I believe more and more that every plaque, award and certification you see on the walls in the shop for A.D. is WELL deserved!! You all have been good to me and I recommend Next Generation mechanic EVERY opportunity I get! Grace and peace to you and please keep up the great work!.

Brought a car in to MD and needed State Inspection to title. They gave me an appointment promptly, were on time and got it finished quickly at a competitive price. Highly recommend AD, Adam and the team at Next Generation.

Went here for a MD state inspection. Called around to multiple places and Next Generation was the best price and had the soonest appointment. I did fail the inspection and needed tires but they did NOT push, pressure, try to intimidate, etc. Customer service was great.

Next Generation Mechanic does my regular maintenance appointments. One thing I love is that he always puts the high quality synthethic oils in so I can go 7,500 miles between oil changes. They always get the job done quick and don't come back with a million unnecessary things to fix in the process. Very trustworthy.

I'm not from the area (stationed at APG) and had brake line go out on my truck. I've had mixed luck finding a reasonable repair shop in the area and was recommended to Next Generation Mechanics. They did a great job replacing the lines and did so in a timely manner.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Very responsive to the customers needs. Broke down while out-of town, they jumped right on it diagnosed another shop's screw up and got me back on the road in a very timely manner. And pricing was even less than I was expecting. Honest shop with good work, they are worth their weight in gold

I stumbled upon Next Generation when I was looking for a shop that worked on foreign cars so I didn't have to go to the dealership. The owner spoke at length with me on the phone about my car which impressed me. I've been using them ever since. Beth, owner's wife, runs the office and she is such a sweetheart. I really feel they're are very trustworthy and care about their customers.
