Bruce, the owner of Atlantic Motorcar Center, runs an outstanding business and made the required interval service of my Mercedes-Benz a painless experience. I made the appointment on relatively short notice and the car was expertly attended to by his professional staff, while I borrowed a courtesy vehicle and went about my day. The work was thorough, my car drives like a dream, and the service integrity of the manufacturers warranty was maintained, all at a fair price. I highly recommend Atlantic Motorcar Center!

When the mechanic who had cared for my cars for more than twenty-five years retired, I found the only service that duplicated his was in Portsmouth. One hundred thirty five miles is a long way to go for services on my Mercedes, so I did a search, finding Atlantic Motorcar Center. I was surprised to find authorized dealer quality service from a more local repair shop. Better still, the folks at Atlantic Motorcar Center are very serious that my Mercedes gets the very best care and services possible. The service areas at Atlantic Motorcar Center are immaculate and spotlessly clean like a surgery. I am confident that my car gets the very best service possible and I feel this high level of care is proof that Atlantic Motorcar Center values me as their loyal customer.

Bruce is a true leader of his team at AMC. He is involved everyday in the operations of his business and he knows his stuff. I have personally been blessed to have met him and had my BMW meticulously maintained by his team over the past several years. "Caring for people and cars" perfectly sums it up.If you are a person that takes pride is owning and caring for your vehicle, then Atlantic Motor Car is the place for you. Don't waste your time shopping around trying to get the best rate ; be smart and focus on the quality of work performed ; you won't be disappointed ! What can I say, the location is a bit distant from our home, but it's not that far of a drive up from Freeport. And my wife likes to go antiquing and shopping in local area.As far as service, we drive because it s easy to find a place to get your car fixed, but what s very difficult to find people to take a great deal of pride and what they do, and care about you as much as they care about your car. When I first called, they told me they were "enthusiasts" about Mercedes, and German cars in general. And they are, makes all the difference.Another thing with Atlantic Motorcars, it s a locally owned, a family business, and they seem to really understands what the word family actually means. I've watched, they care about their customers, watched them get a cup of coffee for someone, and helped program a phone for another, just when I was waiting there. Really, they care about their work, and returning the safest and best performing vehicle for you.So if you need car service, and the professional relationship that comes along with it. You re not gonna find a better outfit.

Unfortunately, we had a pretty nasty experience with Bruce the owner of Atlantic Motors... and yes Bruce, the shop in Wiscassett Maine that handled our most recent repair on our LR4. A classic "bait and switch" case in my opinion. My car was initially diagnosed by another shop that said there was an oil leak. We know that Land Rovers can troublesome - so we really wanted to go to an "expert" that prides themselves on quality, service and honesty. After being sold on Bruce's act in the beginning, this turned out to be a true illusion about the service at Atlantic Motors. When Bruce and I had our initial call to discuss the issue at hand, I was told a $350 diagnostic fee would find anything and everything wrong with the car. Well, this quickly turned into a laundry list of issues that the shop found in addition to the original oil leak that I knew about. Bruce quoted us $7,500 in total. Valve gasket engine leak ($3,995), front rotors ($900), Transmission ($1,283) and additional fluids and services the make up the difference of my total bill at the end. When we get the car back from the shop, we found the car had a sunroof leak within a few hours of the car being at the shop. This was mysteriously "not found" on the Diagnostics report. The electrical damage is now on the books with another shop and going to cost us thousands $$$ to repair the electronic shortages and electronic shifter malfunction, not to mention the actual sunroof replacement cost. How can a shop that does 3 quality checks not find a roof leak? The headliner was dripping extensively when we got the car back. Atlantic's team drove the car 50 miles after the engine service to verify the engine issue was resolved, but no notes on the sunroof leak during some of the State's worst rainstorms this year? They wouldn't own this issue when I addressed it. In fact, Bruce hid in his office when I asked to speak to him. When I finally met with him, he told me it wasn't something his shop will do and that the autobody shop down the road would take care of it, but "how about a car wash?"... Bruce, your ego alone is intolerable, never mind your poor customer service when an issue is addressed. You are so nice to your customers when you want their money, but once your diagnosis is challenged, you turn your back on your customers and shut the door on them? I'm sure you will have some crafty response to this bad review, seeing that you are quite manipulative when it comes to doing business with honest people. I'm sorry, but the dealership is a better option when paying over $200/hr for repair from a private shop that can't even diagnose a very evident stream dripping from a headliner creating a pool in the car's front seat and floor mats. Thanks for making our experience grand!

Excellent, courteous service on my Mercedes on my first visit. Bruce, the owner, kept me fully informed of the diagnosis and progress of the work. Moreover, AMC got me on their schedule promptly, which is one of the reasons that I went there. The Mercedes dealer that I had been working with for years couldn't fit me in for over three weeks. AMC has a new regular customer!!!

Call these guys first! Finding a place in Maine that not only works on Mercedes, but really knows and cares about them was an eye opener to me. I was a referred to them by a trusted colleague at work who is huge car guy, and so happy I called. Not only did the Mercedes dealer's price high, but they did not return calls when I tried to schedule the recommended work.At my previous service dealer had most indifferent service not having a new car, where I was just a number, not even a name. The guys at Atlantic Motorcar listened to what I had to say, listened to my concerns, and even listened to my hope that the long term problems would finally be resolved. They took to the time to properly check and determine the problems and areas which needed attention. And they put in a list of needed now, and things for the next appointment, never had experienced that before, it was refreshing.The entire car was re-evaluated, I was went a report with photos and details, easy for me to read. Less work than had been recommended by the dealer was determined to be urgent (allowing me to spread the costs over time), and the quote was for an amount considerably less than the dealer's had been. They told me that they had the same diagnostic and programing equipment as the dealer, and I believe them. Wow, their shop is immaculate, clean, white and bright, made me know that my car was going to be clean when finished. In fact they washed it! George the young man hand washed it.The work was done on time and I have no complaints about the quality. The car was ready for pick up and had been washed! I was treated well by Bruce (the owner), and appreciated that they had a loaner car, which was free, for me to use during the work process. Fixed right, warning lights off, no more clunking noise, I was very pleased. I think they found a customer for life, or at least as long as I own German cars. Wish they worked on boats!

Service here is second to none. You are first impressed by the well organized and professional atmosphere both internally and externally. Bruce Howes is the owner/general manager and he sets the tone for the level of excellence he expects from all the team members. They truly care about getting it right and developing long-term customer relationships and trust. The detailed analysis and written report you receive makes you wonder why every mechanic doesn't come here to learn the system and business plan. Bruce was very good with communication and made it easy to bring back the loaner and pick up my vehicle after hours. Pricing is fair; you re not looking for the least expensive option if you own the type of vehicle they service. You can tell they focus on respecting their customers. I will bring my vehicle back because they treat me better than the Porsche dealership.

I love driving my ten-year-old Mercedes ML 350 Diesel Bluetec because of Atlantic Motorcar Center! Since my SUV went off warranty at the dealer, I have taken it to Atlantic Motor Car for routine checks and repairs. Every visit they explain the service throughly and even show me supporting videos for my car. Because I live an hour north, Atlantic provides a loaner. Therefore, they can keep my SUV for more than one day to send for parts or extra servicing they discovered is needed. And I am not inconvenienced. I ve found their service crew is very knowledgeable and caring for the SUV and me too! If I ever buy a new car, it will be serviced at Atlantic Motorcar Center in Wiscasset, Maine.

I had the very best experience at Atlantic Motorcar. I was having trouble with my car while driving to Boston through Wiscasset and my husband suggested that I stop there to see if someone could help me.Little did I know that the kind person that helped me was the owner of the business! Bruce and his team took are of the minor issue with my car right away and set my mind at ease for my four hour drive ahead.I will definitely bring my Audi to Atlantic Motorcar for service!Thank you, Bruce!

They squeezed my Rover into their busy schedule because the turbo went went out and the car was no longer safe to drive. Well, it's kicking again! It's all powered up and I'm back on the road. The new turbo is working like a charm.A special note to the ladies who are reading this. I received wonderful advice, no run-around, and fair pricing.I was treated well; as an equal. Just because I'm a woman they did not condescend nor did they assume I was "car illiterate". 170" Sprinter, A Service; 1/2 the price of the Mercedes dealership in scarborough. Very thorough, give you a good breakdown of any concerns and take pictures throughout the inspection to include in the report. The place is clean and the people are friendly. Highly recommend, I'll be coming back for the B service.

They are not quick, nor are they cheap, but they do an incredible job of making my 105k mile Volvo drive like new. They share their work and do exactly what they say they will do. They are very knowledgeable on the idiosyncrasies of various models.

Very unhappy having my appointment moved out another week! Had one for Monday and they were closed with no power which is no big deal. Was told Tuesday in text to bring it in today. Glad I called and didn t drive an hour because they changed it to next week. Now another wasted day! My name may not show in your records of ever coming to you. That s because I d like to keep my identity hidden until I get my car fixed.

I've been a slacker this year regarding swapping over my tires for the winter. Thankyou for squeezing me into the schedule to get them swapped over! I truly appreciate it very much. Bruce, Eric, Chandler, and anyone else who were involved in the process, my gratitude truly goes out to you! The music was pretty nice as well. Couches are comfy as I tried to take a nap while waiting but my brain kept saying 'no sleep for you!'

Needed some extensive recommended scheduled maintenance as well as an engine light on my 13 Rover sport. New to AMC but they fit me right in and even found a loaner (they have twelve) for me to drive for the week. Completely transparent experience from issues found to cost estimate which was on the nose and just a bit lower than expected. Excellent communication throughout the time the vehicle was being serviced. Hands down the best experience all around from any dealer/repair/garage. I will be taking all my business to AMC from now on. Bruce is a legit car guy (as is his whole team), and he s in business for ALL the right reasons. Check AMC out you will not be disappointed.

I had an outstanding experience with Bruce and his team at Atlantic Motorcar, easily the best I have had with any auto shop.They were extremely helpful and accommodating to get my Mercedes Sprinter Campervan in and worked on. I have been living in it full time for a while around Maine and they provided a number of options to make sure it worked with my schedule considering they would also be working on my "home".They even under promised and overdelivered on the timeline, getting through a long list of maintenance items that I had expected to need multiple visits for.I also really appreciated the available workspaces, that I was able to use and get work done comfortably while I waited at AMC.I will certainly be back for all my future needs!

Bruce and his team were fabulous. We are the road for 2 months in our Sprinter diesel van motorhome, and I was unable to find any Mercedes Sprinter service that could perform service for multiple weeks. Bruce was able to squeeze us in as we were passing through. Thorough review of our Sprinter, excellent summary report and fortunately no major issues identified. I never write reviews, but in this case I m very happy to say this place really seems to get the meaning of service. Brought in our MB sprinter LTV and they were extremely helpful throughout. Bruce was willing to give advice before I was fully their customer, during a long distance pre-purchase inspection .They have been there for expected and unexpected repairs, and even an emergency. Rarely do I leave a negative review but I will make an exception for Atlantic Motorcar Center. My wife's 2013 VW Golf TDI needed a clutch and our normal shop was booked eight weeks out so she tried Atlantic... $5,000+ later the clutch is like new.My wife has owned VW's for decades and she knows the difference between good and poor service. Attention to detail doesn't mean you focused on "thank you" brownies. It means getting things right.-Sevice light was not reset.-Tire inflation light was not reset.-Left emergency cable wasn't attached.Sevice light was reset a few weeks later by Atlantic. I resent the tire light and Bruce was seemingly not interested in the emergency brake cable. "We didn't work on that system."I tried to explain that the 1st time I drove the car, albeit a month after the clutch repair, I immediately knew the emergency brake wasn't right. VIP of Bath found the left emergency cable was disconnected and reconnected the cable at no charge.No big deal right? Wrong... We live on a stupidly steep driveway and got lucky this time. When a customer says... "Hey this was working when I brought in the car and now it doesn't" The response should be... "We didn't work on that but by all means let's take a look ASAP."My guess is when they took a looked at the rear brakes, which they sent us pictures of, the cable was somehow disconnected. Who knows... The odds it just fell off are exceedingly low.Finding a place to take your car, that you trust and has competitive pricing is a challenge, especially as of late. My suggestion is to start the process by making sure the owner of the shop is from Maine.Please no more texts. No more emails... We have had enough of Atlanta Motorcar for the rest of our lives.PS That was the most expensive brownie of my life... It was delicious .Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

Atlantic Motorcar is all that they advertiseFirst time customer I had clicked on their Ask a Tech tab on their web page on Monday morning looking for info on a clutch problem on a 2015 Mini. Not 5 minutes later Bruce is calling me back. A great conversation and Q&A both ways was had. So off goes Betty on. Flat bed to Atlantic Motorcar.
