Wow Wow Wow. Never bring your car here. If I could leave zero stars I would. They "replaced" my clutch and the next day while I was driving back to school my heat shield fell off on the highway. When I brought it to a shop to have it put back on, they said VW garage got 2 out of 8 bolts in the hole. The car is continuing to have issues related to this job. If you do not drive a VW, I would strongly discourage coming here. And even then I wouldn't recommend. They're lucky I'm not dead or they'd be out of business and in debt.

Had an issue with the sport diff on my S4 recently. It wasn't the smoothest process, but Corey was able to fix what two dealers couldn't. Dealers both wanted to replace the entire rear diff. Corey called in some favors and got it done for considerably less.

Went there a year ago for break pads and rotors. They wanted 3 grand for a bunch of stuff and refused to work on it.I take it to another shop with the same problem, he gave me what I needed and here I am a year later driving it w no issues.I paid 1800 for my rig, they wanted over 3k. NEVER take your vehicle here.

Cory and Steve (the Euro guy) took in my Golf R and have done a lot of great work with it. I mostly worked with these two gents and they're very knowledgeable and well connected in the VW scene. I trust these guys with my car and my business. They installed a ton of aftermarket parts on my car (suspension, brakes, & parts other cars on the MQB platform) a did a great job. My only regret is not having given them a call sooner... they are connected with a lot of performance parts distributors. In no way did they push the most expensive parts for my car but rather the ones that best fit my application. Thanks guys!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I ve gone to this location 2x (first for a timing chain, second - busted rear spring) each time I ve found the staff to be cordial, extremely fair and professional. I tried to spend more money and the owner said gladly take your money, but not needed at this time. That was when I knew I had a great new place. We had an unexpected "check engine oil" alert appear, and after we called were they said to swing by and they would check it out for us. Cory came out, checked the oil, added oil and took care of everything! We highly recommend Cory and the VW garage.Thank you again so much for taking care of us.Service: Auto maintenance

We had the best experience here. We had a broken gas cap door and were able to be seen immediately. The gentlemen who helped us was extremely nice. I will definitely come here again for work on my car! Thank you so much!

As honest and helpful as I've ever known in a car mechanic. My mother accidentally dropped her credit card down the window pane of my car while paying for gas and the VW Garage was kind enough to remove the door panels needed to retrieve it for free. They are also very honest about advice with repairs, even going so far as not recommending themselves if the car is being used for a future trade-in but already in bad shape. Excellent customer service, excellent mechanics, trustworthy evaluations, excellent prices, and true value... a rare combination these days! Highly recommended.

First time bringing my 2012 Golf R for any real service. Cory was more than helpful with any questions and concerns about my car. He went through the whole car thoroughly and told me what he found. Had all my concerns taken care of and at a good price. Although pretty much all of my scheduled maintenance was done at once at around 87,XXX miles was done, I felt that every penny of $X,XXX was well spent. Even got a Unitronic tune from him to wake my car up and on top of that, my car is running like a top! Will definitely be back for other repairs and service in the future.

So I did not realize when I stopped here that this was a world famous VW garage. But, I was talking with Cory, the owner, and I thought he looked familiar. Keep in mind, but I have never been to Maine before this so it would be unreasonable for me to think that I would know him. Then I realize that he is a bit of a VW celebrity and I have likely seen his picture online and in magazines. Even though this place was completely packed with other cars, he took pity on me and my bus and was able to work us into his schedule and get us back out on the road. Thanks again to everyone at the VW garage.

I have sent my car here for years, even as Westbrook service. This morning I have my car towed there and the lack of professionalism is very prevalent. The entire building reeked of marijuana. I would not recommend this place for any type of service. I also had my breaks services there and months later my abs and tcs are broken. So glad to have found this shop! They were able to squeeze me in when I was in a real pinch with my VW Golf leaking coolant. Figured out the problem and got the replacement part in for me the same day. Very knowledgeable and down to earth. Thanks so so much!! Will be back.

Had some some serious repairs done on my 2002 Porsche Boxster great job couldn't have been happier and my 2012 Jeep Wrangler that I've been having some serious braking issues with and had it to the dealer at Lee several times could never solve the problem called Pat at the VW garage brought it in they diagnostic repaired it and it's been about a year now and it's doing great thank Tim

I own a 2012 VW Golf R and it has been making a strange knocking sound, but only when I am coasting with the clutch in or in neutral. The knocking, at first, was very faint. Then as time went on, more prevalent in frequency and volume.� I have a regular guy and he has been great, but this stumped him.� I took it to another garage, stumped.� They thought it might be the transmission, nope, the transmission shop didn't know either.� I started calling other European car specialists in my area.� Well, the first one gave up after about a day or so of trying to figure out where the knocking was coming from.� As soon as I drove up to The VW Garage, Corey, the owner, was ready to diagnose my car.� I gave him a quick rundown about my frustrations the last two months with the strange knocking sound that every mechanic that checked it out, 3 different garages and a transmission shop, was unable to diagnose.� We went for a quick drive so he could hear the sound first hand and as we talked and listened, he whittled�down the list of possible culprits.� He actually jumped out of my car and ran beside it, while we were slowed by some traffic, trying to diagnose the sound.� We headed back to the shop and he already had a plan of what he was going to do first.� He torqued my lug nuts.� They were incredibly�loose.� I was never told I needed to re-torque my lug nuts after getting my winter tires put on.� They have probably been getting looser and looser as I was driving from garage to garage.� It was night and day, and obviously my car felt insanely more stable than it did before.� Incredible!� Just WOW!!!� Corey didn't charge me a dime and has my gratitude and business. His willingness to go the extra mile for the customer is outstanding.� Do yourself a favor and save yourself some hassles, take your VW or Audi here.� Thank you, Corey and Team, for your outstanding service and for truly making my day today.

I have brought my car to Cory several times and have received nothing short of phenomenal work and service. He is honest and very knowledgeable in his trade. He has better rates than anybody around, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring my vehicles to him over the dealership.

Thrilled with Cory and his team's work on my 2016 Stage II VW Golf R upgrades. We fully custom-upgraded the suspension, and man what a ride! Cory's passion and enthusiasm were clear from the start all the way to the "finish". I say "finish" because we know you're never done once you start upgrading things! I had an issue with my 04 passat that my usual garage seemed to have a problem finding, so I looked up The VW Garage. They got me in the next day and figured out what it was and got it repaired. They have a very knowledgeable, easy to work with crew. Prices were pretty fair as well. If you have a European vehicle that needs work, I would definitely recommend bringing it to The VW Garage. Cory and the crew have been amazing looking after my Audi for the past year and have been a tremendous resource in guiding me through upgrades and mods to my A4 Avant. They are thorough in their explanations of what works needs to be done and what work should be done, are prompt and prices always reasonable. My car has never driven better and im at 130k miles. Highly recommend them to anyone for any vehicle needs. - Adam

Wow. Great all around experience with the guys at VW Garage. My car had a stripped out oil drain plug from service done at a quick oil change place. I brought my Jetta in and it was repaired quickly. The issue was explained thoroughly. It needed a new oil pan which I expected as I had put similar excessive torque on a drain plug on my first car. The cost of repair was very reasonable considering it s a VW and they are experts in working on them.Needless to say I ll definitely be back the next time I need service on my cars.

Very reasonably priced place with folks who seem to know what they're talking about and don't try to keep things a mystery. Glad to have a reputable mechanic to keep my older model on the road a few more years!

Cory is a true master mechanic from the forgotten era of taking pride in ones work. He fixes it right the first time and doesn't cut corners. Will fix all the other "expert" mistakes when he services your car. He will fix anything from air cooled VW's to the newest VW off the lot. I would not bring my European car to anyone else! Be comfortable that when you get the car back it will be as good as, if not better than new!

My Jetta always comes back feeling nice from VW Garage. Whether it's old or new, fast or slow, VW Garage can fix it up.The shop knows their stuff, and has good customer service.If you just need a quick fix, with generic parts, they've got you. If you want a "fun" fix, with some fun parts, they've got you :)

Cory is a stand up guy as a person and an even better mechanic! Very honest, helpful and friendly! From anything to making your car fast with performance parts and software, to the basic carbon cleaning or oil change or even engine rebuild! I always enjoy bringing my car to Cory and having him treat me like family!

I had a coolant leak causing my car to overheat and leak oil and antifreeze. They were able to get my car in and fixed all in the same day. I had one minor problem afterwards with a hose and they fixed it with no appointment in less than 10 minutes and didn't even charge. Definitely will be coming back in the future!

I got a flat tire on my way to pick up my kids from day care...right at the perfect spot... I was able to pull in to the VW Garage. They not only helped me get a new tire (on my Honda, btw, They Fix Everything!!!!), but also grabbed my car seats out of the car, installed them in a loaner, and had me out to grab my kids within 10 minutes. Awesome service, awesome people, and a local gem! Thanks so much guys!!

I am beyond impressed and happy I found the The VW Garage! I needed new brakes, 2 tires and calipers for my VW Jetta. I called about 7 places in the area to get quotes. The VW Garage was the ONLY place that offered to look at my car first for free to give me the best estimate on price. I the appointment after hearing the estimate and did not feel like I was being jerked around or being over charged. I even needed new calipers and the gave me wholesale price. My car was done same day. No Hassell, no BS. Just awesome mechanic's and the owner is cool too. I highly recommend taking your ride, no matter the make or model, to The VW Garage!
