I took my jeep in there today at the last minute, hoping to get an appointment when finding out they were walk-in. I only waited about 45 minutes for my turn. The gentleman was very thorough and looked at everything. I m glad mine passed inspection. I will definitely be a customer from now on and I would definitely recommend them, I have read some reviews of people not liking the place I could only assume they were mad that their vehicle failed. Again, thanks again to the sticker station in Westbrook.

Quick, efficient inspection experience today. The owner clearly works every single second and doesn't budget time for chitty-chat. I'm definitely coming back.

Convenient for me and always does a good job. If you are driving by and see no cars waiting, pull in and it won't take too long. If you see a car or two waiting understand it will take awhile because this is a one-man shop. This is not a speedy shop, it's a good shop. I normally just wait until I'm driving past and see no cars parked outside.

One Man operation, seems like he does a thorough job but make sure you have a few hours blocked off to get an inspection. Not a lot of hustle or urgency in their inspection process. About an hour for the inspection once he finally got the car in the garage

I've been here a few times and I appreciate the thorough inspection as well as the technicians detailed list/ explanation of any issues that were found during the process! Very convenient and straightforward place to get a sticker!

Two stars as I did at least get an inspection performed, got a sticker and left. Being an Army Veteran I always address others as Sir and extreme politeness. The guy here couldn't even bother to respond. Only thing besides "$18.50" said was "Front tires are getting close". The tires that are 9 months old with 10,000 miles on them that came with the vehicle when I bought it at Patriot Subaru who put them on brand new when I purchased the vehicle.I came here simply because I happened to be in the area and needed an inspection done. I wasn't able to get an appointment at a local station for several weeks so I hoped this would be a good choice. Brought my vehicle to two different places and asked about the tires. I got confused looks. One place said "Um, those tires come with 6/32 of tread new with a 40k mile warranty and you've got 5/32 left.".As a side note that isn't based on the business itself - pick a county OTHER than Cumberland to get your inspection done and magically it's only $12....not to mention there are tons of places that now do free inspections.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews - the service was fast and straight to the point. There was one person ahead of me and it maybe took 25 min for my car inspection to be completed. The fact that I didn t have to make an appointment and the speed for one worker to be handling everything is excellent customer service for me. The guy did advise that I needed to park at the parking spaces located near the fence not if front of the garage like the other reviewer mentioned - however it was my mistake since it didn t see the no parking sign. It makes sense as well because parking in front of the garage blocks the exit. Thank you !

Just go to the dealership or vip place is a joke. Won t pass you if you have adequate mufflers which is stated in the Maine exhaust laws. A vehicle must be equipped with adequate mufflers to prevent excessive noise . Bought my car straight from dodge with factory mid mufflers in place and a RESONATOR delete which is 100% legal and does not exceed the state decibel ratings. Also witnessed a guy get turned away for having too dark windshield tint and he didn t have any. Just save yourself some time and make an appointment somewhere that the mechanic knows the laws and won t waste half your day waiting.(Reply) Don t worry I ll go back to dodge and get a professional to sticker my vehicle in a timely manner just like I did before. Figured this place would be quick and easy but man was I wrong. Might be time to go study the book.

I've come here many times. My biggest complaint is that there are no bathrooms. There is sometimes over an hour wait, and no bathrooms? Then, if you try to leave and come back (knowing it's going to be an hour plus) they cross your name off the list and you lose your spot.The inspector is fair, with no profit motive to fail people, which is why I keep coming back. Please, get a porta-potty at least!

Easy, straightforward service without anyone trying to sell you on other services or repairs. Make sure you get here early or you'll be waiting a while.

First time I came here (a few years ago) it was fine. The past 2 times I arrived with a long wait and then the guy put up a closed sign!! Did not bother to tell me he was closing so I waited for nothing. Today I waited for 20 min and came back to a closed for lunch sign (said he would be back at 2pm and I was waiting since 11:45) Ridiculous. Will not return!!

1* , would give zero if I could. Don t care my car failed. The guy who runs this place failed a personality inspection. A robot would be more personable. Oh the response below , do you even care about the reviews, pathetic.

Wow the Negative reviews are sooo accurate so take your time and read the rest of them. I Was willing to give this place a chance against my better judgement. After 30 seconds in the negative atmosphere created by who I can only assume is the man in charge here I can say this, do not even bother bringing this place your business. Sticker station word of advice - try greeting customers with a smile and positivity, instead of resorting straight to negativity and anger. You can do your job AND be nice

I came in for a new sticker in December and there were a couple people in front of me, but, overall not a long wait. My car was literally in and out and he had already put a new sticker on my car before coming out into the lobby to greet me. I walked up to the counter and he said, $18.50, please? As simple as that. It was a breeze and I have zero complaints. I would use them anytime. Thanks for the quick and decent service!

I was a little wary after reading the reviews before my visit but I didn t have any problems at all. Got there around 9:00 and there was one car in the bay and one person ahead of me. Got my sticker and I was out of there by 9:45.. Pretty easy and convenient. No appointment so you might have to wait but it beats waiting 3 weeks and going to a service station that doesn t really want to do it.

Do not bring your car here, the 1 star reviews are 100% accurate about the miserable old man who must run the place. smug, disrespectful, drunk on the nonexistent power he thinks inspection stickers give him over people. As if you re bothering him with your business. I have never written a Google review in my entire life, but if this helps 1 person, it's worth it. Avoid this place at all costs, and enjoy this message when you read it, oldtimer.

Do not go here! Even though I was the only one in the parking lot, I was first ignored, and than the person yelled that he had no time for me even though it was an hour before closing and no one was there. Stay away!!! Great idea but poorly staffed and run.

Would rate 0 if possible. Went for a basic inspection for a car that i knew would need work and was debating about putting the money into. upon arrival i requested for an inspection to which the employee responded front right tire because there was a spare on it. to which i had to explain that i still wanted an inspection regardless. after i went to give the employee a spare key to which they said keep it . i asked to confirm if they needed it to which they said they need a key and registration and expected me to wait the hour to an hour and a half in the building.ultimately i realized this person lacked trivial knowledge when it comes to basic vehicle maintenance and decided to leave. would not recommend westbrook sticker station and will definitely never be going there again and finally if you get the old white guy (or gal wasn t sure) with long grey hair. you re better off going somewhere else.

It s a first come first serve shop doing inspection stickers and oil changes. Pleasant staff who easily explain any issues. Might have to wait but I don t feel like they are looking for stuff to repair like I do at a dealership.

I pulled in to get my car inspected. I waited while the mechanic was performing an inpspection to ask what his availability for the day would be. He said i needed to park my vehicle better and that it would be about an hour and a half wait. I pulled my vehicle nd parked it properly ,then asked if I could come back in an hour and a half. He said no you must wait here,then I offered a $10 deposit to hold my place in line and he said he doesnt take bribes. I appreciate you don't take bribes but i said a deposit to hold my spot in line to prove I would be back and not a bribe. This guy must have had a bad day or weekend and from the reviews , he has had a bad day often. If only he had the time to write down my name and number and let me take a spot in line,without the need to wait 1-1/2 hours. I would avoid this place since they can only do one thing at a time.

Pretty rancid vibes all around. I brought my Toyota here because I had just moved to Maine and needed a sticker urgently. My car isn t in the GREATEST shape, but it had just passed in Massachusetts so I wasn t worried. The guy was rude as hell and ended up failing my car over something no mechanic I ve since taken it to has been able to find evidence of. I have a feeling this place just fails cars that don t look pretty and brand-new. You re definitely better served by calling around and making an appointment somewhere else like I did after. This place might boast quick stickers and turnaround with no appointment needed, but you pay for the convenience by receiving poor / rude customer service and a potential unwarranted fail on inspection. There were definitely undue costs accrued as I tried to act on the advice given only to find out there wasn t a real problem. Trust the other reviews for this place! I wish I did.

So they do official Maine inspections, and oil changes. I needed an official inspection to run Uber. He figured out immediately that my new bought-in-the-South car had dealer tinting on the driver and passenger side windows that were too dark for Maine. He spotted that in seconds, tested it and told me that needed to be corrected - but didn't charge me.Well thank God for my multipliers :). I was able to peel one corner of each with a fingernail and yank 'em with the pliers in a few minutes flat. Fortunately they came off in one piece each. So basically, I only lost about 20 minutes while he did the next guy and got me after that, same basic $18 and change charge.No complaints, no problem.

My car s bushing failed on me only a week after the inspection. All bushings and rubbers on suspension components are inspectable parts.The man in charge at the Westbrook location has very little patience when it comes to customers and is not a pleasant man to deal with.

Pretty much the same experience when it comes to the older white man employee. Seeing all of these other reviews about the SAME EXACT PERSON shows Westbrook Sticker Station is well aware of the issue and continues to neglect it.Rather than working with your customers, the employer will backfire at their customers with statements such as "you're entitled to your opinion" or "it seems this was written out of frustration". Rather than addressing the issue that made their customer frustrated in the first place.I understand it's a family owned business but you can tell there are DEEP ROOTED issues within this family to neglect, defend, and project the same behavior.

Awful customer service, very rude mechanic not willing to answer any questions. You re better off booking an appointment at a reputable shop rather than wasting your time here. Your time is more valuable than that - good luck!Edit - My car did not pass or fail. I was not able to get my car inspected at all due to the shop being fully booked mid afternoon.

One star because I can't do no stars. On 1/28/2019 @ 9:30 am I stopped in to get my new SUV inspected. I just had registered it. I didn't have time to run home to get a screw driver to put on the plates. There were no customers waiting it was slow. I asked the person working if i could use a screw driver, he immediately said "NO I do not lend tools (screw driver is singular)", mind you my SUV is parked in from of his garage, I am not going home. With an attitude he then said, he would put them on for $5 dollars each. I get every business needs to make money but I always take my cars there to inspect them and tell other people go there. There should be some level of customer service, for the $18 I'm paying for the sticker. I said no thanks I will never be back again and will tell everyone this same story.I proceeded to go to VIP just around the corner, they did the inspection for FREE yes FREE and put my plates on for FREE as they laughed at my story, and were very pleasant(customer service). They then did a 50 point inspection for mechanical issues for FREE.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. The mechanic berated me for parking my car and attempting to speak with him about getting an inspection done. He told me it would be a 4 hour wait when there were only two cars in the lot. I will make sure this inspection station never receives additional business from my family and friends. A true black eye for sticker stations across Maine.

If you have a brand new car, right off the showroom floor, by all means bring it. My ABS light came on after I brought it, I called him to ask about it and he hung up on me, and won t return my phone calls. He also failed me because a pad on my brake pedal was missing and my license plate was slightly tilted. This place is a racket plain and simple, and the dude with long hair in the beanie that works there is a has the social skills of a bowling ball. You ve been warned. It s cheap that s about it. I ll pay twice as much and wait a week to get it inspected had a real garage by someone that s actually certified
