I recently purchased new tires and had an unexpectedly pleasant experience. The staff were highly helpful, guiding me through my options and answering every question without any impatience. The service was impressively quick too, ensuring I didn't have to wait unnecessary hours for installation. The entire process was smooth and hassle-free, making it easy even for someone with limited car knowledge like me. It was a mildly satisfying experience overall. My car went into TownFair Tire today. Originally I was impressed as a whole car alignment, mount, and balance was around $140, which is quite competitive to most any place. To say I should have taken my service elsewhere is an understatement. I needed to have my tires changed and my family lives in Topsham area. I, on the other hand, do not. I live about an hour north of Topsham. Now I am not going to entirely fault TownFair, but there is lots to blame here on them.The fact the first words out of the mechanics mouth is we ve had people who had wheels fall off their car was quite the red flag, and boy should I have listened to my intuition. In all fairness they said to torque the wheels at 75 miles wear, because that s right around when problems start occurring. That was plenty enough mileage to get me home safely.The alignment that was done to my vehicle was absolutely perfect. My car hadn t driven so straight in a long time.The mount and balance, was an absolute atrocity. My tires were loud and I thought it was just because they were new. The steering wheel didn t feel off and my wheels were stable so I ignored the sound and slight vibration. Me ignoring is the extent to say in which this could be a little bit my fault. I should have checked my lug nuts. We drive the interstate home, I had my fianc�, puppy and my full grown dog in the vehicle with me. We are cruising at 75mph and BOOM, the front drivers side of my car is suddenly on the ground. My front driver side wheel FELL OFF MY CAR. Now, I know I am within the safe 75 mile radius in which they said to drive the vehicle (because lug nuts are also self tightening after they are torqued correctly) well boy was I mistaken. I don t know who worked on my vehicle, but whoever it was you should be very lucky that we were so lucky. Had my axle hit the ground, not landed in the RIM of my wheel, and had the impact be softened by the rubber of my lovely new tires, we would have flipped right over. My lug nuts were missing from that front wheel which we thought was peculiar, and now the studs (the bolts that stick out which hold onto the lug nuts to keep the rim on the bearing) are broken off from my axle. How strange every single lug nut is not on my rim THEY NEVER TORQUED ANY OF MY WHEELS! Maybe if they forgot one or 2 on a wheel it wouldn t have been an issue. But, we checked every. single. wheel. after my front fell off on the interstate, and we could unscrew every lug nut with our fingers. There was not a single lug nut that was torqued to my car. This isn t a simple mistake at this point, it was pure ignorance and disregard for their job and the safety of the people entrusting their employees. This isn t a business in which you get to say uh-oh, this is people s lives on the line. I was going 70+mph with a car that had not a single tire secured to my vehicle. That s part of your job description. You HAVE to torque them, even after recommending to your clients you torque them yourself as well. You are the main point of SAFETY to your customers, everything you suggest after the vehicle leaves your shop should be optional and unnecessary because you did your duties to the fullest. This was absolutely not the case for me today. I will not be doing business with TownFair from now on. My family has given them lots of money and suggested lots of new clients to your establishment. I am severely concerned for other customers who are not vehicular savvy.

I purchased my snow tires here and went back for another reason and they were so helpful, my heat shield was falling off and it rattled terribly. they found the cause and I was extremely happy with quick service as well as pleasant service people. do not hesitate to take your business there. special thanks to Peter.

Avery did a fantastic job of taking care of our car and explaining which tires would be best and the mechanics of why. Avery gave me a fair price, quick appointment and had wonderful communication skills throughout my appointment so I knew when the job was done. Five stars for Avery and Town Fair Tire! I ll be back!!

Another excellent experience at Town Fair. I came in without an appointment and Peter and Avery were ready to help. They squeezed me in between other clients and were able to get my troublesome tire repaired (2 leaks!) and send me on my way quickly with a very modest charge and a cheerful attitude. They earn my business every time! Thanks again!

Had one of the best tire experiences ever today and just had to write about it! I had a small tire that needed a new tube. Sounds easy enough to fix I thought so I went to the hardware store where the wheel came from and was told that they didn't have that tube size in stock and if I found one they would charge $45 per hour to install it. I decided to go to a tire store where I was told they couldn't help me and told me that "maybe Town Fair Tire could". So I went into their store and was immediately greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile asking how could they help. They didn't stock wheel tubes but that a local farm supply store did, and if I could get the right size, to bring it back and they would be glad to install it. I went to the farm store and they had one in stock, paid for it, then drove back to Town Fair and left it with them. I got a call today that the tire was ready so when I went to pick it up I asked how much I owed and was told "no charge"! Now, I'm not one that expects to have anyone do something for nothing but they genuinely and kindly did not want to be paid. I think this is the ultimate in customer service that can't get any better than how Town Fair treated me. Town Fair, is the absolute definition of the meaning of the word "Fair". I highly recommend them for any and all products and services they offer. Thank you Town Fair Tire!

The process is always very smooth when I take my car to get serviced at Town Fair, but this time was exceptional as I had the opportunity to work with Avery! Excellent service today from Peter and Avery at the Topsham, ME location! I needed a patch and plug. Peter came out to check the tire to make sure the puncture was in a place they could plug at all before pulling my car around. They were both up front about the risks and warrantees that comes with that type of patch. I was able to wait and work from my computer in their lobby. They were quick, put the tire back on, checked the sensors and placed the spare back in it's proper place in the trunk of my vehicle. Highly recommend!

Recently needed a single tire for my f150, but Peter the assistant manager at the Topsham, Maine location was able to assist and actually safely repair my existing tire in a prompt manner. I was beyond impressed with his customer service skills and his willingness to accommodate me when no other tire shop in the area could. I appreciate the money saved and would absolutely recommend this location to my family and friends

I am so impressed with the Topsham location!I unfortunately got a flat tire around 1pm, called they got me right in, they pulled my car in back at 2:20pm, and it was completed for me to go pick up my kids at 3:10pm.Thank you Avery for the amazing customer service!

The manager, Zach, did an amazing job helping me a few weeks ago. I had no idea what was wrong with my tires as my light had been on for months. He fixed it right up and made sure I understood everything that had been done. Great place with a great team!

I'm selling a car. Wanted a good tire so as not to screw the buyer but didn't want a super expensive tire. Peter figured it out. Very polite, courteous, professional. When was the last time a salesman called you "sir"? It was refreshing, and no additional sales pitches.

Well I had a 1pm appointment and it didn't finish till almost 5pm. They did no adjustments on my vehicle cause it wasn't to far from being aligned but still charged me for an alignment. I would not recommend!!!!

Will took good care of me! I ordered snow tires, in part because of the rebate being offered. After dropping off my car, Will called to tell me the tires hadn't arrived and weren't available. He apologized, walked me through the options, and not only dropped the price by more than the value of the other rebate, he included the road hazard warranty at no cost! Thank you Will...5 stars for you!

Made an appointment for 1pm today. Drove off the lot at 4 pm.It was explained on drop off that they were short staffed and I was told it would be an hour and a half. Of course not thrilled but I just walked over to the mall and window shopped.When I returned 1 1/2 hours later they hadn't even touched my car. I asked at the desk and they didn't even know which car was mine or what was being done. Quoted another 30 - 45 minutes after going into the bay. My car then sat another 30 minutes before being brought back.In the meantime my kid sits at school for 2 hours on a Friday and my other kid is 30 minutes late from sports practice pick up.Once I saw the tech I ran to the counter to check out or would have waited another 10 minutes. When I explained I had to go because I was running so late: no apologies, no offer to make anything right for my valuable time.Had I known getting 2 small tires replaced on a tiny 4 door car would take 3 hours I would have rescheduled or gone elsewhere. Be honest about wait times.And maybe remind your employees not to drop f bombs, s*it, etc in the store for customers to hear. Poor service

We were here from New York visiting our daughter and discovered a nail in our tire. We were so lucky to find this tire shop. They had the tire fixed in no time and were so professional and wonderful to deal with. I visit my daughter here frequently and will definitely use this business to get tires when I need them..A great business!

Peter was so very helpful when I came in with a flat tire he got me in right in the next day patched. My tire was so polite caring just did an overall wonderful job and should be recognized. All this work was done after I already went to six other places and they could not help me due to short staff or just didn t have time, but Peter got me right in the next day. I am so thankful.
