My husband and I were visiting Rockland when we had a potential tire issue. Napa referred us to Mr. TIRE. We drove up, and they told us to go to the last bay. There, two wonderful employees assisted us in determining if there was an issue or we had a leak. They found out nothing was wrong, and the company did not want to charge us for the help. We are grateful for the business and the workers!

Went to Mr. Tire this morning for a front end alignment. We knew our front tires were bad from going so long with a bad alignment. The guy came out and said that we had wire showing on the front tires (we didn t know they were that bad) He said they had 2 tires that would fit our car if we wanted to have them put on. I let him know that we were going to order some inexpensive tires this week and put them on. He said I want you guys to be safe. Those tires are no good to drive on. I ll give you the alignment for free if you buy the tires. ( the alignment was going to cost $80) Needless to say we bought the tires. I haven t experienced kindess like that from a mechanic shop in a very, very long time. They have all our thanks and will be getting all our business from now on.

Been going here for 20 years and had nothing but impeccable honest service. This visit- horrible communication, after having my vehicle for two days, said it was going to be another day. Not everyone can be without a vehicle for days for a simple tire change. If they had been upfront about the time-line in the beginning,or at least took the time to call, other arrangements could have been made. The whole experience definitely left a bad taste.

I can never say enough good things about Mr. Tire and the Allen family. They are honest, dependable, and trustworthy. I will never take my car anywhere else and refer all of my friends and family to them. If you want quality work, this is your place. My uncle co-owned a garage that was a staple in Thomaston when I was a child. There, I was treated as family... well, because I was family. At Mr. Tire, I'm treated the same way. It took me back to all the times I walked into my Uncle's garage and hung out. Minus the pinup calendars. Lol!! Being at Mr. Tire is the closest I have come to feeling like I'm walking into Hannan & Thayer all over again. The closest I feel being to my uncle since his passing. That's been tough to achieve since he left this world. Jamie, Zach & Nick have a great sense of humor. Mike, whose brother worked at my uncle's garage, is always up for a good laugh. Even if it's my 7-year-old yelling through the window telling him to "get to work!" My children will only allow me to schedule appointments when they can go and sit there because they love Jamie so much. Jamie has become to them who my Uncle Dexter was to me. Both are very loved. Are there other garages around? Yes. Are they capable of doing the same work? Probably. Do they have the heart and family atmosphere that Mr. Tire has. I highly doubt it.

Mr. Tire and it's amazing staff helped me out on super short notice. I loaned my car to a friend who accidentally put a small crack in the oil pan. I found this out as I was leaving for a weekend trip to Portland. I called six other shops before anyone even took the time to check and see how long it would take to swap out an oil pan. I purchased the pan, gasket, oil, and filter at an auto parts store and they installed everything within an hour of my arrival. All in all it was a 2 hour delay. My weekend went from impossible to enjoyable in no time flat. I cannot thank them enough.

2023 Edit: After another three years of great service I am happy to say these guys continue to earn 5 stars. Customer service, pricing, and quality of work continue to set them apart from the competition.2020 Original: Some of the best pricing around. Gotten multiple sets of tires from these guys. Great service doing brakes, rotations, custom wheels and more. One of the few places I trust with my truck.

I went in to have an exhaust replaced and told them i wanted it a lil louder than it was but not enough to draw attention. They gave me a cost estimate and told me it would be in within a wk. Got my call cpl days early and got me right in. I thought i should ve called n order a cat back dual but didn t call. Well picked it up and saw cat back dual, price as quoted and sounds perfect. Thx guys. Perfect job! You read my mind.

They did me right, got a new set of tires and multiple repairs to my vehicle in addition to a safety inspection. They were also able to do it within the week despite being backlogged. Very professional and courteous. Fair prices.

It was great until it wasn't. I would start with five + stars. Older car but a good car. Check engine light on 4 times. Firstly, addressed the cadallidic converter for a good price. Second returned for a bad sensor. They found a headlight out also. Great service! Took off labor which I owed and they should not have. I paid with a local pizza certificate since they weren't going to take cash or credit if I offered again as I had. Third, was told the light was still going through the history which is why the code read converter again. Run it a few more times. I say okay.It remained on after a few more days of driving. I understand old cars, it's all I have ever owned.Took it for a fourth reading. If it was supposed to go off after cycling through a few times and it didn't, I just want to know. The manager came out after speaking with the owner and told me that 'the last code could have read anything, ( but he did not show me what it was as they had the previous times) that they were done, the car ran better, right?' Not the most pleasant interaction, not ugly just uncomfortable.I never wanted to be a nuisance and always pay what I owe. I am not from here and read great reviews for Mr Tire. If I am told that the problem should be fixed but the car is telling me it isn't, I should at least know why.Two catalytic converters on my car after a visit to another mechanic. I would have changed both if I was told that was the problem...Mr Tire did not diagnose that

The staff here is honest and awesome. I took my car in and they told me I needed new tires. I was able to purchase them through family and bring them in to be installed. Mr. Tire honored the price they gave me had I purchased the tired through them and didn't charge a penny more or try to add anything else to the bill. I felt it was fantastic and trustworthy. I will totally be using these guys as my go-to mechanics for everything now.

Absolutely amazing service. Stationed in Rockland area for four years in the Coast Guard and wouldn t bring my car anywhere else. Last minute appointments no problem. Free diagnostic on most things and every time I got a bill it was way lower than expected. They do it all here and taking your car anywhere else would be a mistake!!!

I paid for an alignment but can tell that it didn t get done or at least not well. I notice no difference. I was also told I needed struts because there was a leak from them, but I actually don t need them. So, I was about to get struts and spend hundreds when I didn t actually need to. I feel like their work needed to be checked which is inconvenient. On the other hand, this was my first time here, and they fit customers in right away.

Cheapest, most reasonably priced place around to get your tires! I called all around Thomaston and Rockland for some studded tires for my car, which are obviously a big expense no matter what, but Mr. Tire had the best prices for some good tires. VIP tried selling me some new, unheard of brand with no reviews on them for $608, and I got my Firestone studded snow tires at Mr. Tire for $577! So worth it. And the man who was working the front desk that day was so nice, my daughter was getting fussy and bored (shes 2) so he came out with a huge place of cookies and offered us one! Just so nice! I hope they keep up their good prices and service for years to come!

Every time a vehicle I own is taken here (by my mother inlaw... ) it requires multiple trips to get it right. A few times after an estimate they tried to fix expensive parts that were working perfectly according to my preferred garage.

Jamie and Zach did me a real solid. Great to work with. No bs about what is wrong, and told me what was right and wrong with my car. Highly recommend if your in a pinch and or need tires.

Me tire got me in way sooner than I expected and got the car done super fast! I brought the wrong size rotors and they were able to get the right ones and still finish the job same day. Also fixed my exhaust for me. Thanks guys

Definitely avoid at all costs, they need to go out of business before they actually kill someone. They reinstalled a rear brake pad and rotor without all the bolts, so the caliper was barely hanging on. When she brought it back they used a couple of flimsy metal wire clamps to attach it, instead of actually bolting it on. Insane they are still in business

My fianc� & I were at the car wash & the valve stem broke. We rushed over to Mr. Tire, & w/o hesitation they got us right in & had it fixed within a matter of minutes. Great business, great management & they re all hard workers. Thank-you!!

Went in for front end alignment, need to change tires but if my truck still sticks to the right after that then they didn't help. Star rating will change when I'm done

Prompt service. Over filled the oil and two of the four tires were mounted backwards. They are unidirectional but one side is smooth and the other isn't. Only noticed when I got back to Vermont.

Picked up a screw in my tire. They took me in right at arrival. $19.95 and 20 minutes later I was on my way. Friendly, efficient and professional.

miserable customer service, communication, and just down right rude I will not be returning. I made an appointment to have some work done on my truck, The recommendation came from a friend and needless to say I was very displeased. If zero stars was an option that s what I would choose.

Worst customer service ever. They constantly berate and swear at you. Incompetent mechanics and no sense of order. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!!!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!

You can find deals locally, JUST ASK. They quoted me a price for 4 Goodyear tires for my Travel Trailer camper at $20.00 less each than Tire Rack or Amazon! That savings would cover the cost of new valve stems and nitrogen!!

Good service, took a lot longer than they said, but the work seems great, no nonsense and didn't try to sell me services or repairs that were not needed.
