Awesome service! They worked hard to get my vehicle fixed so that I could drive it and not be stuck without it for a few days when I had an issue. The rates were also very reasonable.

Our car engine light came on during a vacation 12 hours away from home on a Saturday. Nobody else was open and Skip's had already closed for the day. While we were poking around under the hood trying to figure out something in their parking lot, the mechanic came out even though they were closed, grabbed a diagnostic tool and let us know the code and issue with the car and that we were safe to drive it for the time being. We tried to offer her money and she wouldn't take it. She saw we were in a jam and helped us out and was very friendly even though she was supposed to be off work. I have to recommend Skip's for their unbeatable service and professionalism. The mechanic could have just as easily ignored us or took advantage of our situation. Thank you!

I was having some car troubles while visiting ANP, and despite it being the end of the day and having had a very hectic past few hours, a younger girl who was working there still scanned my car and gave me some advice on how to temporarily fix the problem so I could make it home. Not only did she go out of her way to help us at the end of her busy day, but she was also very sweet, helpful, and super cool (with purple hair!). I would absolutely recommend!

These guys are awesome! I I'm from out of town and took a flat tire from my rental car to them to see if they could patch it. It wasn't possible which I kind of already knew. They didn't charge me anything and gave me lots of great advice. We will definitely visit them again the next time we are in town.

Highly recommend. On MDI on vacation. Car battery died in driveway. Send out employee to jump start my car and follow me back the 4 miles to their facility. Skip's put a new alternator in our van on Friday afternoon and stayed past closing to get us back on the road. We are so thankful for his helpfulness and willingness to do the emergency job. We highly recommend him if you are in Southwest Harbor.

Always friendly and efficient! Skip s crew has taken excellent care of my vehicles over the last 5 years. They ve been great at finding problems quickly and have on several occasions suggested simpler and more cost effective repairs than anticipated. They re the real deal.

We had a bad flat on our vacation to Acadia National Park. Skip's Garage was great. They got us in and out and only charged a very reasonable price for their excellent work. This would be my garage if I didn't live 10 hours away!Service: TiresService: Tires

While visiting Bar Harbor late on Friday, my vehicle died and I had it towed into Skip's after they had closed for the day. First thing on Saturday morning they checked it over and determined the alternator needed to be replaced. They found the replacement and had me back on the road before noon. They went above and beyond to get the job done. They were friendly and helpful, and I was extremely happy with the service.

We pulled into Skip's with a blinking engine light and very choppy idle. We were on our way back home to nova scotia that same day and we were quite distraught. Skip's had our car back on the road within 24 hours and at a reasonable price for what we had done. Our mechanic was very honest with us and at no point did we feel like we were being taken advantage of.

Excellent Service!! So, we live downstate, on our way to SW HBR for a week s vaca, when the serpentine belt on the defunct AC compressor gives up the ghost on Rte 3 on Saturday. We get the car towed to Skip s, as we are staying a half mile away. His staff is able to bypass the compressor, replace the belt, all by 8:45 Monday morning. For a really fair price. They have helped me out before, but today they are my personal heroes. GREAT SERVICE!

Car came back all rigged. Zip tied tie rod, belt fell off, Coolant was full came back empty, over charged for oil change, items were missing in vehicle. Overall not good experience. Do not recommend. These guys took care of an outa towner, made me feel like a local. I had random light come on and they took the time out of there busy day to check it out. I also had an oil change and some other minor work. Great people!

As a visitor to Acadia from out of state, I was glad to get Skip's help opening my stuck hatchback. He helped me while I waited, and adjusted the problematic part, rather than tell me to come back and get a $300 replacement. His shop is incredible, too - good for many other more serious auto problems.

Excellent service and great people. Skip was able to fix my car when the Subaru dealer(Stanley) in Ellsworth, ME was not able to fix the problem. Skip staff is very knowledgeable and very courteous. Thank you!

I stopped by here last summer after the AC in my car broke during vacation. They spent a long time examining the car and pinpointed the problem. While they didn't have all the equipment needed to make the fix, they told me exactly what was going on-and only charged me a couple bucks for the time.
