Much better than expected! I've seen bigger museums...but this museum has really pinpointed the more impressive specimens that stand out. Good amount of information for each one. Price is reasonable for the quality you get to see. I am also very appreciative that they have several electric car chargers in their parking lot. Worth a visit. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour.

What a gem! Perfect compliment to a scenic New England drive. Amazing collection and stories with the various vehicles. Well worth a visit!

This museum is a hidden gem! A little off the beaten path, but definitely worth a trip from Bar Harbor! We went since my husband likes cars and motorcycles, but I enjoyed the visit too! I was surprised to find the museum had lots of info on the women's sufragette movement and how it related to cars! It was nice to see the cars from a different perspective.

Very cool place. I'm not a "car guy" but this was a very interesting place to see some car history. They even started one of the cars from 1908 very cool

This little treasure was a great place to go when hiding from the summer heat mid day. The 19th amendment views and setups were delightful along with a tire from 100 years ago when the women were fighting for the right to vote for all. Loved the old cars that they had including a replica of the one that traveled around the whole country while they were putting out the right to vote!

Not only does this museum sport some rare and interesting cars, it also has artifacts from the Woman's Suffrage Movement! Some of the cars in the collection are limited in number world wide! There are also some early motorcycles there as well. You can do an audio tour via the website. Don't let the size fool you, this museum is full of great things!

We are so glad we found this place. Wanting to avoid the crowds in downtown Bar Harbor, someone recommended Seal Cove Museum. What a gem! We spent about an hour wandering around the museum. So well done!! They change their themes, so we'll go back next year to see what is new. Highly recommend!

What an amazing surprise. Mostly pre-20's autos and motorcycles with a beautifully curated exhibit related entirely to the role of the auto in the Suffrage movement. Excellent research, beautiful cars, careful presentations, great staff.

This is a pure gem hidden deep in Acadia, Maine. Museum with taste, style, class, with deep attention to historical detail. Better even then the huge automotive museum in Brussels, Belgium. With kind staff and a special take on cars that will melt the hearts even of non-drivers. They even have a place for kids to play. Undoubtably one of the best museum establishments I ever saw. SEVEN STARS well-deserves!!

A few weeks ahead of our visit I sent an email to see if we could get a closer look at one of their cars I had a special interest in, the curator responded within minutes and was very accommodating. The collection includes some very rare early Fords including a Model K as well as a National Underslung and Pierce Arrow. All the staff we spoke with were very knowledgeable and friendly. The museum shop had a nice selection of shirts, hats, etc. The day we were there noted author and car collector Tom Cotter was giving a presentation and displayed his Cunningham automobile. All in all one of the best car museums on the east coast.

This museum tells you the story about how cars used to not be allowed on Mount Desert Island. It used to be just horses and there were people for cars and people against cars and it was a whole big thing. Plus there's loads of old cars here to see. Even if you're not really interested in cars, the story alone is very interesting. We went on a rainy day and had a very nice time.

We had a wonderful time at the Seal Cove Auto Museum. My kids (7-12) really enjoyed the museum and seeing all the old cars, but especially loved the scavenger hunts. As not a car person, I still loved seeing the cars and all the care people have put into restoring them and telling their stories. My husband could have spent another several hours there reading every placard and sign!

What a lovely little place! My husband and I were staying in the area on our honeymoon, and I saw Seal Cove Auto Museum advertised on a Facebook group. I'm so glad we decided to visit!I know absolutely nothing about vintage automobiles, but I found myself fascinated with this collection. I absolutely loved the exhibit about Bertha Benz, and the information dedicated to the Women's Suffrage Movement. My husband could've stayed here all day. He was over the moon when museum staff wheeled out a 1908 vehicle (I don't remember the make/model) for a live demonstration. It was such a cool thing to see!You can tell the staff here are dedicated to educating visitors, and love their jobs! We will definitely be visiting again.

When I was here last, long ago, it was only lovely vehicles in a nice building. It is very much a museum now, less vehicles, but well worth a visit if you are out and about on a day trip. Friendly staff, clean building, high quality souvenirs.

Absolutely fantastic experience for any car lover! This museum has a unique and extensive collection of "brass era" automobiles, spanning 1890-1925 or so. The origins and evolution of automobiles in the U.S. and beyond is on display in the form of pristinely maintained models of various manufacturers. Historical context is provided for much of the exhibit, which made for a highly enjoyable and informative visit. Strongly recommend if you are in the area!

Amazing collection of "Brass Era" classic cars. There are many excellent examples of early automobiles and a few rare or lesser known manufacturers that are thankfully preserved here at this location!

Really nicely laid out museum with a sizable collection of vintage brass cars. It was a rainy day when we visited and parking was a bit of a problem as everyone else seemed to have the same idea. Well worth the admission price.
