I stupidly put washer fluid into my new car's engine coolant tank, right before having to drive a couple hours for a sporting event. The team at VIP in Scarborough were quickly able to flush the tank and quickly get me back on the road. I really appreciate their flexibility, expertise and the personal care they took to recognize my stress level and help to provide calming, empathetic service. Thank you all for your incredible service and support!

Overall I had excellent service here. I had a flat tire on my Subaru and made an appointment for 3. I showed up at 3 and the manager Damian was very friendly and told me they'd get me out of there as quickly as possible. I took one star off because I ended up waiting for a bit longer than I would have liked but they realized this and apologized and got me out of there soon after. The tech came out and apologized to me as well for the wait but he did an excellent job with fixing my flat. He even showed me the nail that was in my tire. Damian and his team did a great job taking care of me. Thanks again guys!

Damian, the manager was extremely helpful with my new snow tires and was able to squeeze in an unscheduled pill change for me. I hadn't noticed but he pointed out that my state inspection had expired and they were able to do the inspection and give me a new, also unscheduled, sticker as well.Great service. Highly recommend.

Worked with Damian to purchase a set of tires and the process was smooth. Last minute I requested a state inspection / oil change along with an alignment and it really improved the ride quality in my Jeep. Overall I m satisfied with the whole experience.

I had the best experience at VIP today. I went in because my tire had a screw in it- which I knew going in couldn t be patched up. Jim H told me that they were booking out appointments a week out, but then wanted to see my tire for himself. Once we got outside noticed a slash in another tire & another tire that I knew wouldn t pass inspection. We went back inside & he worked magic on the system & was able to squeeze me in at that time. Within minutes my car was in the garage with the old tires off & new ones getting ready to go on.Jim told me all about the complimentary things in the waiting room that I could use & do while waiting for my tires.I went & picked up my car a little while later & he explained & showed me everything very clearly & had wonderful costumer service.I will for sure be a retuning costumer-hopefully not for another screw in the tire though! Thank you so much VIP for getting me back on the road!Service: Tires

Would recommend anyone to come here. I had to get 2 tires replaced and an alignment done. Damian derosier helped me check in and when checking me out informed me of the proper care and maintenance of my car that needed to be done (as my car is 10 years old and to my knowledge has not had an alignment done before). Not to meantion the lady he checked out before me was INTENSE. as a person who has work in costumer service before he had much more patience than I would ever even when she was rude and very condescending to him. Hope the next time I go back to this VIP he will be working and he will be able to help me again. I expected my bill to be a lot more expensive but from my experience (very little) I think I was charged fairly for the work done on my car. I usually don t get my oil changes done here but the service I got I will be definitely be coming back, and if it wasn t for that lady the wait time wouldn t have been bad at all I was planning to be there a lot longer than I actually was.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

The workers at VIP are so kind. My car was making a very loud noise on the highway and Henry was able to take a look at it right away for me. Turns out I had a loose wheel and it was inches from falling off! Henry was able to tighten the screws back on and saved me from spending lots of money in the future! Great customer service!

I recently had a low tire pressure light as I was driving home from Boston. I was a bit concerned so I went of 295 near Scarborough to find a service station but as luck would have it, the Scarborough VIP was right there! Whenever I have an auto problem VIP Yarmouth is my go to place so figured, maybe the Scarborough location would be as helpful?Well, I walked into the store and met Henry, the store manager. He immediately helped me, checked the tires and I was off safe and sound. Just another great VIP experience!

While one travels for a long trip in winter, the worst feeling is when something goes wrong in your car. My tire pressure light came on and after repeated inflation of tire pressure, it continued to leak air. I had over 200 miles before I get home on a Sunday. Henry from VIP in Scarborough squeezed me into their busy schedule and got me back on the road quickly. He and his team fixed the sensor leak and showed me a slightly damaged stud for the lug nut for future repair when necessary. I appreciate Henry s thoroughness and will definitely go back to him for future services when I am in the Portland area. Thank you, Henry!

This is not the shop to bring advanced cars or it appears a mini cooper is to much for them, the past 3 recent times i have went in they have screwed me. first was a simple battery installation and programming first i had the battery installed and my car was giving me errors so i brought it back and they said they forgot to program it, then i get it back same issue so i bring it to bmw and they told me it wasnt programed then i called vip asking about it they told me they dont program batteries so what did i pay for? and when i got it back they lost my battery cover and told me they had no knowledge of this, and today i bring it in for a simple alignment my buddies rack cant fit this car but it needed a simple alignment and they tried to tell me its all set. really dont recommend this shop to anyone unless you just need a bulb replaced.

A quick alignment turned into a long replacement of a ball joint. The replacement joint was faulty from the factory so a second one had to be installed. The wait was very long. The counter attendant was kind and offered to buy me lunch for the inconvenience. I also got a free oil change and money off the bill.

Update: I sent an email to the owner like they asked in their response below. I received no response to my email...Got a flat on the freeway, I really thought these guys would be my hero and get me back on my 7 hour car ride home with my 4 year old. Henry at the desk was a jerk and he clearly was bothered by me even coming through the door. He refused to give me any sort of idea on when they could get to me. It's 1 tire it takes 20 minutes, but Henry didn't care. I begged, told him about my 4 year old in the car. He didn't care.By the way, I tried to call ahead but no one answered the phone. Sure would have been nice if they did, since it would have saved me a trip and an aggravating conversation with henrey (who clearly has zero skills in customer service) and I wouldn't be here writing this review... If you're considering coming to this shop, do yourself a favor and go across the street to Sam's clubs. They helped me, even though I wasn't even a member!

Henry has been servicing our cars for a number of years, first at Sears Auto and now at VIP in Scarborough. He's always friendly, knowledgeable, and forthright when helping us understand what our cars need and providing us with a number of options.

It was the worst experience of my life! My daughter and I were 2 hours away from home when I got a flat tire. U pulled into VIP, and the gentleman was rude not to just me but other people that I observed him with. We were told he could not help us because they were "busy" that we could call around, "but no one would be able to help us, so good luck with that". His customer service was ridiculous.

I got the lifetime alignment and it sure saves me a lot of money and also the coupon books for free oil changes! The customer service isn t always the best, but sometimes it is great and worth it to save money. Today the associates were pretty rude and told me I was being rude and made me wait until 4 to check in for an appointment for four instead of making someone wait on the phone for two minutes. Disappointed. Jim was incredibly impatient and told me I was being rude and impatient when I just was trying to ask to be checked in. I asked why two other people were checked in and I was standing there for almost 10 minutes. He said They got here before you. So I asked a simple question but apparently one that irritated him, So were they late or early ? That s why I book appointments and then he refused to check me in until 4. And now it s past 4 because his computer is jammed never coming to this location again. Also when I gave the oil change coupon for a google review jim tried to be a little nicer but mostly I was disturbed that he would treat a paying customer like that so I didn t warm up to his excuses and asked if he wanted to see the review and he thought I wanted to salt the wound but really I was following the direction of the coupon itself which I tried to say. Honestly I felt like it was a fairly sexist exchange and only changed when he realized I was actively writing a review. I don t think he liked that I self-advocated. changed my review to a 2 because April was helpful when at 4:20 I asked why my car hadn t been brought yet into the garage and she got someone to get the process started. Thank you April!

I have been to the Scarborough vip twice and had the most amazing experience...They are totally profession and welcoming everytime...they know your vehicle so not mis diagno...soo please with the service sing

I was in a bit of a loud letdown when my exhaust decided to spontaneously drop down to the asphalt as I was driving south just north of Portland. Henry at VIP said he'd make sure it got looked at that day (it was Saturday at 230). After loosely tying the pipe up under my car, I made the loud 15 minute drive down the Turnpike to Scarborough.Cam checked me in, I reiterated that even if they could secure it today I'd be happy and get ear plugs for the ride home. They got it right in and less than an hour later my car was fixed. They managed to sleeve and clamp the pipe so we were as good as new. Made a 6 hour drive nearly 9 hours but could have been so much worse.

Only place in Scarborough that got me in during the holidays for a tire issue. While I ended up getting the final replacement done through my dealer due to warranty, service at VIP was great. I got all four of my tires done at this location on May 3, on May 9 my car spun out on the highway (it was sunny and 70 degrees) The gentleman who did my tires was really nice. However, when I called after I spun out Jim was not very helpful. I went to another auto shop and they said my back tire was loose :( the manager that replied to my poor review did not reply to me to make things rightService: Tires

I had a great first experience at VIP. I stopped in the middle of the day Saturday with a concern regarding my brakes. I thought for sure without an appointment that I would have to reschedule and come back but that was not the case. Richard and his mechanic got me right in. They walked me through the whole process and provided tips on how to best take care of my brakes and car in the future. They were beyond helpful.I have gone to the same local repair shop but after my experience with Richard and his team, I will be driving the extra 40 minutes to have maintenance done with VIP

When I called to ask about having some tires installed on my wife s vehicle, I got to talk with Henry. He was very helpful with my questions & pleasant to talk to. We set up the appointment on a Sunday for 2 p.m. Henry mentioned that if we wanted to drop the vehicle early, there could be a chance that it might get done earlier. We dropped it off at noon, got some lunch & ran some errands. We were pleasantly surprised to be notified @1:45 that we were good to go! I was impressed & it made for a great experience all around. :-)Service: Tires

As an ex-mechanic, I would just like to say thank you to Henry at the Scarborough location for being so honest and helpful. It can sometimes be difficult to find a good auto technician that isn t trying to buy a new bass boat on your dime, but I found one today. Thanks Henry! I ll be back and will send others your way and have them ask for you!

This location was very very kind to me! I had an emergency and they took me in to make sure I was safe driving rather than sending me elsewhere or having me book and appointment. Henry and Tyler went out of their way to help me figure out my vehicle plans and gave me honest and genuine advice. Very appreciative!!

I thought for sure I was going to need new summer tires when I came in today for my snow tire change over. Instead of just selling me new tires, April took the time to go check out my tires, measure the tread life and let me know I had another summer worth of life left to my tires.
