Huge thanks to Maine Auto Service for getting my car back in shape at a reasonable price after very little driving during the pandemic. New rotors (and a new battery) are more exciting than I ever thought they could be! Thanks to Ed, Chris, and Brandon for everything, from start to finish, I really appreciate your work!

Brandon and staff have always been polite and professional. We have frequented the Scarborough site often for both of our cars. We have gotten our oil changes done, yearly inspections and have also purchased tires. Today, my tire low pressure light came on while on the highway, so I immediately stopped there on my way home. Brandon had me pull over to the open door and in less than 5 minutes, tires were checked, air added, and instrument panel signal reset. I am a repeat customer of Maine Auto Service. Over the years I've used them for car repair needs I've come to trust them, their service and their work. They are competent, courteous, repair only what is needed and are competitively priced. As had been the case in previous visits, the most recent was yet another good experience.

Went to have my inspection done. Walked out with an estimate for $1588.98, and that was not knowing if they needed to do brake or not...they said brakes could be another $700.. Went to my mechanic and everything, including brakes was done for under $1200. The only thing positive thing is that the work they said was needed, did have to be done. But $1000.00 difference is unacceptable!

I've used Maine auto Service twice now. My first experience was great and I had zero issues, my second however was sub par.During my first visit I was told by the mechanic that I should get my transmission fluid changed and I had a serpentine belt that needed to replace. Flash foward to today, I had set up an appointment to have this done as well as an oil change and some other misc things.After waiting for an hour I was advised that I should not in fact change my transmission fluid and that they would not have time to change the belt or perform any more work but could tell me what needed repairs.Long story short I came to spend money and would have gladly waited. Instead I was told what I needed to have repairs but couldn't be performed today due to time constraints. I wasted an hour and 45 minutes for an oil change and a bulb change.

These guys recently took care of an issue i was having with my rear brakes. A caliper failed that I had them install last year. And even though it was technically a little over the 1 yr warranty period, they replaced the failed part - and the pads/rotor that was wrecked as a result - no questions asked. It's great to get service that goes beyond what you would hope or expect sometimes.

Engine Warning visit. Fearing the worst!! They said there was nothing wrong. Something must have tripped the light.They could have created a number of Def-Con4 scenarios charging me big time!Honesty builds trust. And that results in referrals.

Waited several days for service,finally went to pick up my vehicle and they had in fact not fixed it,charged me 180 to change a battery,wich as it turns out was not the problem.As I was about to drive away my vehicle died in there parking lot before I was able to leave.very dissatisfied,would never reccomend.sad to see another shop taking advantage of the consumer.many options in southern Maine,do not choose this one.

Visiting from out of state. Brake line leak. Gave me a fair quote. Work done the next day. Pleased with the staff and the job.

Very slow service. Misquoted me 3 times in one day. Once I came to pick up my car I was made to wait another 45 minutes because they were not complete with the work on my car despite telling me on the phone that they were.

Difficult to get service here as they have limited hours and always seem to be booked. If you can get an appointment, it tends to take much longer than expected. I have waited way too long in the past.
