Loved this place for its location, it s landing near the water was gorgeous for sunrises and stargazing. The sites are a little close to each other but everyone was respectful of the quiet hours. Great campground for young families- plenty of things for kids to do around there. My girls enjoyed riding their bikes around and the playground equipment. The poolsIs nice for the rare days that were warmer than perfect weather. The bathrooms and shower house was all well maintained and clean. We really loved this place and will be back!

This hidden gem in Maine is just fantastic. I have been many places and have lived abroad but by far in my book and according to my family, this was the best vacation we have had in a very long time if ever. It was very relaxing and not much hustle and bustle which is what we needed. Rachel and Erik took the best care of us. From telling us about the area and convincing us to come there, to helping us make the reservation, making sure our location was good, that we were familiar with the area, where to find the awesome sites and cool history were located in the area. They pointed us to great restaurants and nice quiet places to have great wine with great service. The staff in the office was great too. The welcome we received when entering to check in and all the information we needed was right there and they were pleasant the whole time. This all made our stay so enjoyable that we did not want to leave. Because of Rachel and Erik and we are returning next year and staying longer!! I would never have found this place without Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan but we are very grateful we did. Thank to all the staff at both camp grounds for making our time there great.

Wonderful family campground! The staff is very kind and welcoming. The sites are very nice (even though a bit close to one another). The bathrooms/showers were very clean and they provided lots of things for families to do (pool, playground, horse shoes, volleyball, and games to borrow in the store). The outlook is also absolutely beautiful and worth the walk down to! They have lobster bakes for a great price on Saturday which is a great thing for those looking to have a little taste of Maine while they re visiting. This was our first time taking our two year old camping and we had the very best time! The campground is also in the perfect location. Just a few minutes away from both Camden and Rockland. So lots of options of things to do and restaurants to eat at. We will definitely be back!

If you want seaside Maine camping (not right on the ocean) this place will get you there. Main downsides are the dirt roads and camp sites. Also there were only a few campsites that fit larger RV's. It's a steep walk down and back up from the ocean but the view when you get there is well worth it. There are several chairs and benches to simply kick back and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks.

We stayed here back in 2015 and they have made improvements to this campground over the years, especially to the oceanfront area. Much bigger area now with great area with picnic tables. They use this area for their Saturday night lobster boil. Very clean bathhouse and wonderful staff. We had a great time even though there was rain and fog. Located between Rockport and Camden so there is lots to do nearby.

Our site was ridiculously small. I gave my RV size and slide information upon making the reservations. I could not extend my awning completely. My slide was about 2 inches from a teee as was my awning partially extended. The picnic table did not fit under the awning. My fire pit was just barely outside my awning. The site to my right had a fire pit 4 feet from mine and the site to the left fire pit was about 2 feet from my slide and the smoke was blown directly into my window and slide. Not cool. I don t need a half acre but I just want to be able to use the amenities properly, have dinner without being choked out or worry if someone is going to melt the siding off my RV. Sad it really made thing uncomfortable and this place had been linked to the Lobster Fest. The bright side, The personnel in the office were very personable and welcoming. The showers were clean as was the campground itself the site though was terrible.

Excellent location. Lookout is incredible. Minutes to everything including lobster fest. Cell service is not great and Wi-Fi is not free. Campground is otherwise well maintained. Some campers disrespected the 10pm quiet rule several nights in a row which was unfortunate for my kids.Nearby activities: Many beautiful beaches and lighthouses near by.Food & drinks: Lots of excellent restaurants within 5 minutes including CLAWS!

We LOVED our time at Sea Swell!! Jamey and Garrett were so wonderful to my wife and I, their restaurant recommendations were 10 out of 10! Such a fun, clean, relaxing, and wonder place! Can't wait til next time!!Nearby activities: Walk the beautiful.towns of Rockland or Camden. Hike, bike, whale watch.... the possibilities are endless.Safety: Coming from a big city, we felt very safe and secure.Walkability: There is a lovely trail that takes you down to a cobe that overlooks the sea. We saw a seal and a pod of porpoises. You can walk from any cabin or camp/rv site to the bathhouse, welcome center, or pool.

We stayed in cabin 5 and found out it likely had bed bugs. This should not be offered to another family until full steps are taken to eliminate that potential issue. We are now painstakingly looking through everything and wash everything to try to prevent an infestation in our house. I truly hope no staff knew and allowed us to stay anyhow (I am updating this review as the owner did personally call and reassure this was not something they were aware of -- I will try to take them for their word and they were very kind about it.) They were very kind when I interacted with them but I am still rather distrustful and sad. I did appreciate them reaching out after and trying to rectify the situation. But honestly the most important thing is to make sure this does not affect anybody else. Thank you, and we otherwise have enjoyed time here previously (cedar showers are lovely and the sunrise view is awesome).

Just returned from trip had to write a review of the worst camping trip of our life. We went with two friends of ours a disabled army veteran and this wife . We had two pickups and a camper trailer. We checked in was told Wi-Fi was another 7 dollars a day ok I guess they forgot to mention that went we booked site the next morning we were told our outside lite on camper could not be on because they liked to look at the stars it was cloudy and raining we were also told we had to park in over flow parking because the site was to small the lot next to ours was empty but they said people were coming in so we couldn't park there but no one showed up while we were there the site was small the fire pit was under my awning the site was very unlevel was told if we didn't like we could leave was told could not have outside light on but office outside lite 100 feet away was on all night the overflow parking was down over a hill we had to walk to quiet time was 10 to 8 in morning could not have fire after 10 at night and had to be in camper and quite I am 67 years old I don't need to be told went to go to bed the manager would not listen to why we needed to park closer he was the boss and that was it his wife lied to us repeatedly take our advice and stay away

Right on the coast. Beautiful waterfront. Only drawback is the road noise. Otherwise, super friendly staff, very clean and well appointed, and convenient to so many seaside attractionsNearby activities: Close to Camden and Rockport. Quick access to back road biking.

Wonderful clean campground. Cabin was a great size. Definitely recommend bringing good pillows and blankets. We loved walking down to the outdoor deck by the sea. Pretty steep walk down though so it was a bit rough going back up. Pack some good sneakers or hiking boots, wouldn't recommend walking down there with sandals. Great location! Only a short 10 minute drive to Rockland harbor and the breakwater lighthouse. We will definitely be returning next year!

Second time here and we had a great time. There is an outlet in the cabin which is fantastic! Bring your own heater cuz it can really get cold on the off season. Seems like there will be new owners and their plans are to make it more of a resort. Hopefully it doesn't change too much or get too expensive. I found this place 2 years ago during covid with my then partner, and we really loved it, and found it super peaceful. Make sure you use the cedar showers, you get 15 minutes or the lights turn off. They are super roomy and you can even bring your coffee while you scrub-a-dub-dub.

The property is absolutely beautiful. So well maintained, its obvious the owners care deeply for their campers. Restrooms and showers are the cleanest I've seen. The layout of the property is such that traffic and pedestrians are always saflyabout to travel. The pool is nice, the kids loved it. The. Eat part is the view at the overlook. Getting up extra early to see the sunrise is so worth it. You can always nap later under a shade tree or at your site. RVs, campers, tents and cabins. There is space for everyone. We stayed in the 3 cabins directly behind the Overlook. We met a few very nice people. Very cool experience.

I ll start with the positives: The ocean view is unbeatable! The staff was really nice and helpful, we had an issue with a neighboring camper with a dog that barked all day and night and they handled it quickly! The bathrooms/showers were clean, the pool was nice and the kids enjoyed the playground. The campground is only a few minute drive from downtown Camden which was a cute little town that was fun to explore.Negatives-We were extremely disappointed with our tent site #84 which we chose because on the map it looks pretty far from the surrounding sites when in fact 85, 84, 83 and 82 are all on top of each other. We were able to fit 2 tents on the site luckily as you can see in the picture but you ll notice how close the campfire to the site next to us is. And we barely fit our truck in the small parking between two trees though. The other big negative was the bathrooms were all the way across the campsite which is terrible when you have a long walk in the middle of the night with your 4 year old who needs to use the bathroom. The campground was in a great area but everyone was too close together for our liking. If you re tenting, try and get site 48, right next to the brook. It has a lot of space and isn t on top of any other campsite.

I love my annual trip here for camping. My friends and I came last year loved it came back this year. Learned how to build a fire . Staff are always friendly. Bundles of wood 7 dollars each for the year 2022.Bags of ice 3 dollars each for the year 2022. Coffee in morning from the office. Each site has a fire pit.love the pool and showers! They have a volleyball court sand so be careful.

Fantastic Mid-Coast Maine experience. I absolutely loved everything about this campground. The RV slots were generous, the staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds were spotless, the internet robust, the bathrooms very clean and to cap it all off, about 100 yards from most campsites you've got a comfortable and gorgeous view of Penobscot Bay-you'll want to sit and soak it in,. Whether you're looking for some solitude in the woods, or some incredible views of the bay or you just want a convenient launching spot for mid-coast explorations, this place gets 2 enthusiastic thumbs. up from me.

I stayed in a cabin with that being said. The cabin was ok. The best part about it was it was pet friendly. The beds where camp beds not too comfortable no bedding is supplied just as stated on website. The customer service was great.. the people in the lodge was very nice and accommodating to your needs. The camp store was very limited. They offer very little food. The hours of the lodge could of been better. They didn't open until 9:00 am which i find too late for a camp ground. 7am is a commonly found at camp grounds. The check in and out was easy. The over all shape of the campground was clean. But there is not a lot for kids to do. I would stay again but not the best place for a family camping trip. A great place for camping while traveling to your final destination.

Rented a cabin for 4 days. Cute little place and they keep the property (bathrooms, showers etc very clean) some things need updating or replacing such as we couldn't use our little grill because the bottom was rusted out with holes (one good size one) making it dangerous and a fire hazard. Staff was very friendly. There isn't a lot to do especially if the weather is cooler/cold as the pool isn't heated but there is a small playground. Overall it is a great simple place to stay but the biggest down fall was the cabin beds. They are terrible and I don't think we slept a full night during the whole stay. I would def recommend bringing extra padding or even an air mattress.

Nice campground with nice help at front office. Close to beautiful ocean front with incredible views!Just wish there wasn't a charge for campers to empty RV septic tanks.
