Machine to exit was broken and kept us and about 50 other cars stuck for 40 minutes. Called the company and got no apology or kindness. Attendant at the gate raised his hand at my husband in a threatening manner. Will never park here again.

I work here, to be transparent. I'm not a sales person, just want people to have information.Top of the Old Port Parking is open 24/7/365. It's a credit or debit card lot, meaning a card is required to enter and to pay. There's a booth right at the gate, open 7a-6p M-F & 10a-6p Sa-Su. That's where I'll be evenings M-F! Any of us working there are happy to help out if you need a hand!Events are $20 for the whole event. We take cash or card for events! Please feel free to ask me, or any of our team if you're going by, questions if you have them.

Terrible. I went to see a show hosted by Maine Opera, and the lot was full of patrons. As everyone was leaving, it was an absolute bottle neck since they had one gate open and it was absolute chaos. No one directing traffic or collecting cash. It took 40 minutes to get out, and the lot was still half full. I didn t think it was possible to manage a parking lot this horribly but wow. You can park here but you sure can t leave. We were charged by the hour, so we were effectively getting charged for their incompetence.

Poor customer service. On 7/30, many concert goers parked here. There was no attendant and only one gate was accessible for exit. When we called, we were told to simply wait our turn since the kiosk was working. Despite the slow rate of speed (well over 1 minute per car), they refused to address our concerns.

What used to be the best parking lot near Merrill is now the WORST. First they jack up their price. For what? There is no service... now they make you pay on the way out instead of the way in. You must use a card now. So there is now one way in and one way out. If the machine gives you trouble, the line does not move... AND you need to call a number to get help. Tonight was my last night parking there. Just terrible.

I ve been sitting in the lot for 45 minutes following a 2:30 performance at Merrill 7/30. Who ever thought this system of pay as you exit by credit card was a good idea. Absolutely frustrating. This is my last time in this lot. If you read other reviews, this has been a concern for a while.

Too expensive. It cost us 40 dollars for about 4 dollars. It says 6 dollars an hour. There was no one else to talk about this. Terrible service.

Just waiting to leave the 230 performance of Cinderella on 7/30. What a nightmare! Takes about 2 - 5 min per car to get out and there is NO attendant so I suspect being stuck at minimum for an hour to get out of the parking lot. Your charge is not worthy of the wait.

Great spot to park but the parking spots are way too small and it is very expensive. The payment system is laggy and there's a good chance you need to hit the help button. Relatively safe spot, the fire and police departments are nearby.

Great location but be careful the spaces are pretty narrow. Especially if you have an SUV make sure you think about somone parking next to you and if you both will be able to get in and out of the vehicle. I had trouble with two mid size vehicles. Don't forget it is cash only unless your ticket is validated by a partnering business!

Parking site is incorrect, this is $4/hour, not $3 and max is $32 not $16. Parking spots ok but you're better off parking at the pier for $16. There are daily spots for $16 down there. Also cash only.

Just a typical Portland parking nightmare once again! Portland deserves an unfriendliness award for their horrible parking "solutions". This lot was probably nearly filled with day parkers when they opened up for the Symphony! It's a very scary time, with personnel waving you in with a shout of "down near the back" and letting in another 100 cars on your tail. Drivers were flustered and frustrated going round and round in different and unorderly direction and trying to avoid cursing and unhappy people late for the opening of the Merrill! The best I can say is we were given our money back-! They need a better was of knowing and an attendant guiding drivers to spots available!! They need to CLOSE the gate when capacity is reached before tempers get out of hand. Very unnerving and not at all fun.

It s an open lot with the most affordable rates in the old port. Friendly staff, $3 an hour weekdays from 7:30am to 6:00pm monthly option available for $125 with no time limits. LOCK YOUR DOORS! This is down town portland after all.

Great spot to park but the parking spots are too small and more often than not I've gotten dings from other cars.

NARROW PARKING SPACES! If you drive anything larger than a Mini Cooper, you will not be able to open your doors once you are in a parking space. Thank God we have a minivan with sliding doors. They clearly made the parking spaces small to get as much money out of this location as possible. The only reason I am giving them 3 stars is because it is a short walk to Merrill Auditorium.

Tried to call to find parking. It took fifteen minutes to figure out the person had zero information. Useless and ridiculous. Use a number customers can call and get an actual answer. Thank you.

Decent place to park when going to a concert. Reasonably priced for keeping car safe.

This place still has room for parking even when all the nearby garages are full. Friendly staff. Small parking spots though.
