I appreciate the friendly and honest approach to the not unchallenging business of automobile repair at Portland Motor Sales. Working with manager Jeff, I know that they are really trying to accommodate their loyal customers as best they can. They go out of their way to try to get the job done quickly and properly. I take have taken several personal vehicles to them over the years as well as client cars from my business. I feel better knowing that I am supporting an honest shop that is also affordable and that really makes the effort to get the job done well while being attentive to their customers' needs.

PM now takes care of 5 vehicles for us. We wouldn t trust our three daughters safety to just anyone! Jeff is always honest and helpful. He never sells me repairs I don t need.They re the best!

Portland Motor Sales is simply amazing. They are great mechanics, fair, and honest. I've used them for years and they've managed to keep my old SAAB young at heart! Ten stars even though I can only give them five.

Portland Motor Sales always comes through in a pinch! They completed a complicated repair on my son s car with no advance notice, a hard to find part, and a very short time frame. They came in under budget as well. Thank you so much! As always, I am a happy customer!

It was just an inspection, but it was a very good experience. They were friendly, did the work and contacted me promptly even though I was not there waiting, and cheerfully checked the fluid levels for me. I used them with a previous car and was happy with them, and certainly will keep using them.

Qualities of competence and outstanding orientation to personal serviceAs our cars have been serviced at Portland Motor Sales over a long period of years, I have had an opportunity to experience the consistency of their attentive and discerning service and the quality of feedback provided to other customers as well . ( I usually wait while the car is serviced.) They have been invariably obliging to the sudden needs that can develop with our car, as well providing for its regular service needs. They invariably advise of prospective needs down the road, so as to help prepare for those. Their care extends to the owners as well as to our automobiles! Lovely quality of updated and interesting reading materials if we have chosen to wait is a tiny perc but evidence of the extent of their care.Recommended

I can't say enough good things about Portland Motor Sales! These guys have come to my and my family's rescue more times than I can count. They're fast, efficient, reasonably priced, and VERY customer oriented! When you're in need of car repair, this is hands down the best place to go!

The entire crew is wonderful. They discuss options with as much detail as you desire. They NEVER do things to my car without discussing and placing options before me. And the price is right, Amazingly less than the dealership! I recommend Portland Motor Sales.

I love this place! I had to bring my car to the dealership to get a recall tended to - while I was there they uncovered some work that was needed and gave me an estimate for almost $1,200. I declined to have them work on it and brought to Portland Motor Sales - for under $700 all the work was completed and I am confident that the work has done well.

Everytime I've had work done on my Volvos by Nate at Portland Motor Sales, the price, quality and timeliness have been outstanding. We won't take our Volvos to any other mechanic.

They are more than a used car dealer.... I just moved to Maine and took my 15 year old car to Portland Motor Sales for my first Maine sticker. I had an air bag light on so knew it would fail, but didn't know why. The staff at the repair shop took time to explain exactly why my car failed and provided an estimate (their hourly rates are very reasonable). While I always hate to spend money on things like air bag lights, i decided safety is probably a good thing.They priced out the parts to fix it (cheaper than I could get after-market) and we scheduled a date to fix the problem. The owner called the day before the the appointment to confirm (nice customer service). The day of the repair, they gave me a ride back to town (really appreciated - it was cold out). The repair was more complicated than expected but the owner honored the original quote. Kudos to an honest auto repair shop. Highly recommended!!

What I value the most at Portland Motor Sales besides their expertise and professionalism is their honesty. They do not price gouge you. Whether you plan to buy a car, or have your car worked on, Portland Motor Sales is the place to go. Very satisfied 10 year customer.

I stopped in to ask about getting a bulb for a headlight. John and Jason were so nice. They took care of the headlight in record time. I drive a Subaru and was told they work on them there, most people think it is just foreign cars. I will definitely be back!

I've been going to Portland Motor Sales for many years, and have always been pleased with the results. The guys there are honest, knowledgable, always do the work on time, pleasant to talk with, and set a standard that other shops aspire to. I've also bought a couple of pre-owned vehicles from them and find that they back up what they sell.Always a positive experience!

These folks are great and unlike many others they are completely honest and do excellent work at reasonable prices. I can't recommend them enough!!!I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!!

I've been taking my car here for about 3 years, they always treat me fairly. They don't talk down to me even though I know nothing about cars! They now have a frequent buyer club for their oil changes as well. Definitely recommend going here.

Portland Motor Sales on the corner of Wash Ave and Veranda Street in Portland, Me., is the best place in the area to get your car serviced. They are honest, and their mechanics are among the best, and will not overcharge you. The owner and staff are also very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. at all times.

Partners with Chip's Subaru, Portland Motor Sales treats both my Subie and my wallet right; I trust the service and advice they provide. They are honest, on time, and very friendly. I used to solely go to Chip's in the Portland area, but they are usually booked far in advance; PMS works with my schedule and allows drop-offs & my car's always done when I get out of work.
