I use a cane and called ASAP for a quick three block ride to the Cross Insurance Arena. The dispatcher said it only a three minute walk .I use a cane because I have balance issues and bricks are not my friend. He then asked how much would I pay. I did six dollars and he said that they wouldn't do it. ASAP used to a great company, not any more.

Was terrified as the driver ran several red lights at a very high rate of speed! Got us to walmart promptly though.

Great taxi service! One of, if not the, best taxi in the area. Every driver I've had has been exceptional -- great customer service skills and prompt. I enjoy that the drivers play music. It definitely adds a level of comfort. The cabs are also very clean and the drivers are very nice! I would recommend ASAP anytime over other taxi services. I have taken other taxis in the area in the past, and ASAP is by far the best out of all of them. The dispatcher is also very courteous and even funny. I love it.

I love everything about ASAP! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I appreciate the chance to support a local business when I need a lift somewhere, I love that I can plan ahead and schedule a pick up on the app, or I can call and know they will be there in a short amount of time. Plus, I always love a business who supports local charities, and does so by polling its users to see what group(s) we feel are deserving of their charitable donations!

Clean, comfy and friendly! I take this cab frequently and it's always a pleasure. A couple of times they have become busy at certain hours, but everyone has always been apologetic for any extended wait (30-40 min). Usually it's closer to a 15 min wait. If I have groceries they always offer to help me get them in the car and get them to my porch!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I dealt with these people last year as the wait times became longer and longer until they reached over an hour and a half waiting time for pick-up. After one of their drivers tried driving in circles to increase the fare, I dropped their services. I recently decided to give them a second chance only to be met with a surly driver who said he would have to charge me a $15 fee for my handicap walker and bags. Needless to say, my companion sent him on his way. Unless you enjoy bad service and unscrupulous drivers, don't call these guys.

I don't usually ride taxis at all. I only ride them on occasions, and very, rarely would I rely on them. But this is on behalf of my friend who has suffered very horribly when she's being unjustly denied service from ASAP.. My friend, Theresa has told me earlier tonight that she was unfairly blacklisted from your company for no reason. She's taken your service many times before, and yes, she's a paying customer. Beyond that, she's got some limited mobility issues, because of her leg injuries that she struggles to recover from. A lot of times the cab was late or unreliable. At times (I don't know when or how many times that may be) a certain dispatcher would discriminate Theresa for no reason (i.e. labeling her with various derogatory slurs like the infamous R-word----which is an insult directed at people with mental illnesses). I'm not one to breach confidentiality, but I am speaking on her behalf to help her with the situation. She has called your company many times for cab service, but does not always work out so well. I don't want to be unprofessional, or ungrateful, or even meant to be disrespectful, but the treatment of my friend was totally uncalled for. I never wanted to rate very badly to you, but I am advocating for my friend who is wrongly blacklisted. I hope you understand. Take care.

always safe always reliable. I've never had a problem with this company or its drivers. and they are always polite, kind and helpful. I always enjoy seeing drivers like Colleen arrive to pick me up, as its very much like seeing a friend or family member instead of a stranger trying to get through their day.

Every Saturday morning the dispatcher I deal with is polite and a pleasure to deal with. That being said the one I dealt with tonite was not. I had ordered a cab at 4:15 for a cab tonite at 8:45pm. At Shaws. 8:50 no cab. I call asking where it was and I get oh yeah hes on his way..another 10 minutes and he gets there. the dispatcher did not apologize for the delay or give an a reason why. Instead he was very abrupt. Hes very rude and this is not the first time I have dealt with him. I'm surprised you have not fired him by now after reading the other comments.

Any time I've been in a pinch for a cab, ASAP has always been incredible and quick. 9 times out of 10, they are at my pickup location in less than 5 minutes which still boggles my mind. I'm constantly recommending ASAP Taxi to anyone I know looking for a reliable and quick cab company.

Three out of three recent calls in advance to make appointments for pick-up times have resulted in this cab company making my teenage son wait and miss appointments. Most recently and despite my calling eight hours beforehand, the cab kept my son waiting for more than a half-hour and he missed his ferry as a result. Will now never use this company again.

Absolutely terrible service. The cab was scheduled to show up at 3:00 to take us to the bus leaving at 3:30. At 3:05 we called the dispatcher, and we were told the cab, already 5 minutes late mid you, would be there in 2-3 minutes. What a joke that was. The cab didn t arrive until 3:15, and as a result we missed our bus. Due to this we are now going to have to miss our $1000 flight, or spend hundreds driving to Boston and parking the car at Logan for 4 days. And this isn t the first time either. What a terrible service, I will never use them again.

Had a great ride to the pier with a delightful driver. The restaurant called a different cab company to get us back to hotel. The driver would not turn down his radio and kicked us out. Asp was there in 5 minutes and got us back to the hotel. He was also a friendly driver

I needed to bring my Mother to a Doctors appointment but my truck is too high for her to get into. I call Asap to bring us to and back from the eye Doctor. They arrived quickly and the driver ( same both ways ) was professional and considerate..and the car was clean in great condition. Thanks a million!

I called for a taxi and they said it would be a 20 - 25 minute wait which is fine. I waited 40 minutes with no call or anything to let me know it might be longer so not only did have to wait 40 minutes for nothing but then I had to order a more expensive taxi elsewhere. My first ride was fine and timely, but it should be a simple practice to let your customers know that it might be longer than expected for the driver to get to the customer. This is why people use Lyft and Uber instead of local taxi companies.Edit:In response to the company response - there was no inclement weather when this happened. It happened the evening of November 27th. It had downpoured earlier in the day but not at 5:10 PM when I called. There was some light rain and it was cold (because it s maine), but there was no down pours, no snow, etc. it s one thing if there s a real weather issue but there wasn t. Not to mention the whole 40 minutes I waited, I was outside - which I wouldn t have done during inclement weather.

I don't usually write reviews for anything, but the dispatcher that's working rn is by far the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. I asked what the prices would be simply because I had different bills on me and was proceeded to be told that "it is absolutely ridiculous that you are asking this, are you really that hard up that you need to know how much it's going to cost?" And then hung up on me. I use your company three times a day, five days a week so obviously I have the money. This is not the first time I've had an issue with this guy and I don't appreciate being talked to like that. Please do something about this or I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Driver was extrodinarily kind and friendly. Felt safe and had great conversation. Cab was clean and air-conditioned. Showed up slightly later than expected but not too bad. Would definitely recommend

Extremely disappointed with the customer service. I called from a business to request a pickup for a patient, and was treated rudely for not using the correct terminology as far as requesting or scheduling which I clearly don t understand the big deal as either way a taxi is being scheduled for a pickup regardless of it being a day in advance or immediately. I d be really disappointed from a business aspect if that s how all customers are being treated when calling. Bad attitude.

My driver was super rude to me. On the way to get me I told hI'm I was nor ready yet and I offered to call back. He still came aND then proceeded to be upset for having to wait. Told dispatch on the walky-talky he was spending far too much time on me. And then got out of the car to watch me take my bags out but did not offer to help even though I am pregnant and had my two year old son with me, who I also had to carry to the door. I would have given him the extra 5 bucks for being patient and helpful. He didn't have to be a dick and ruin my morning over it.

Just moved to Portland a few weeks ago and have used them because I saw their cars around and they look to be in good condition. Every vehicle I have been in has driven smoothly and in good working condition which is important to me as I used to be a mechanic.

They have not let me down yet. Not always 5 minutes away but they tell you if the waits are going to be long then I call someone else. Cant go wrong with this local taxi company they are consistent. Thanks

If I could give 0 stars I would. First off there taxis have no uniforms. You can't tell which is which. If you try and call dispatchers they are no help. All they do is hang up on you. I advise no one to take asap taxi and just pay the surge fee of uber or Lyft.

The dispatcher during the day is very pleasant but even when I call ahead the time they give me is always 15-20 minutes later then they actually arrive. I'd give them a 30-45 minute window if they say 15 minutes and you need to be at work.

This is the second time I ve called for a cab in the morning to be greeted by a rude dispatcher, same guy both times. Is very short and argues with you just trying to order the cab and also doesn t tell you how long it ll be even tho I m calling because I have to go to work. He s gotta go

Said that there was so such place as 1 Monument square in Portland as I was standing in the snow. When I explained to them what it was they said it would be over 45 minutes and hung up. Would rather pay the $20Uber charge than deal with these unreasonable, uneducated operators. What happened??????
