THE BEST MECHANIC I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!!I was driving home on the night of April 8th 2024 after enjoying the eclipse with my dear friends, and had a breakdown going south on 95 in Westbrook, ME. I called my insurance company because I have roadside with them however they were unable to secure me a tow, and said I was on my own and they'd reimburse me. So my first call was to ABC, and after being quoted an hour, the tow guy was there in 15 minutes. I've driven flatbed before so I know what's going on, and this guy was a total pro all the way. He even went above and beyond the call of duty. His niece was riding along with him that night, and she found me a room at the Fireside Inn (the best, most comfortable, and affordable hotel I've ever stayed at) where they dropped me off after delivering my car to the shop. The next morning I walked to the shop where I met Steve the Bill Burr of Maine. I was instantly put at ease by his intelligent and trustworthy demeanor, and his guys did the best work you could ask for. My car has never run better! and the pricing was completely honest and fair. They did more right by me, and they will for you as well. I stand by my words on this. A good, as well as, honest mechanic is hard to find and these guys are complete gems. Do yourself a favor, and give yourself peace of mind by bringing you vehicle to them next time you need some work done.

Amazing service and awesome people! My car broke down and despite his busy schedule, Steve managed to see my car and fix it the same day. Steve is a great guy, explains things thoroughly, is honest, and has fair prices - ABC is my new go-to place in Portland!

Had my breaks done here this past week. Awesome service, great price and even better, was able to fit me In and have the car fixed within 24 hours. Will be back if needed. Super friendly and Highly recommend!

List the brakes on my truck not too long ago and they managed to get it fixed for me in a few days, not only that they informed me of something that could ve been dangerous and even showed me pictures so i knew what the were talking about, when i asked them to fix that too it was all fair pricing and everything was done quick.

I brought my vehicles here for years until I got a new vehicle. When it came time for my son to get his first car, ABC was the place I told him to go when it came time for repairs. In August, my son's vehicle needed work... wear and tear work...breaks, oil change, AC wasn't working, and inspection sticker. I put a list inside the car of everything that I needed them to look at to ensure the car was safe. They never fixed the brakes. They never fixed the air conditioning.... They just filled it back up with freon when that wasn't the only issue wrongAll they did do was put an inspect to sticker on the vehicle. A few weeks ago I get a notice from Nissan, the brand car my son drives, that there was a recall on my son's key fob. I schedule the recall to get fixed and during the recall process, it is standard policy for the dealership to do a head to toe inspection on my son's car. They send me a text message with picture of my son's brakes. completely gone. His rotors are cracked and shattered. His air conditioning was never fixed. I called ABC To ask them why these things were never taken care of when I took it to them last month. They were beyond rude to me and had no explanation. My family knows Dicky, and while he might not be working on cars anymore, I don't think he would be happy to know that his shop did this to us. We will never go back.

Lost brakes on the way to work, tried triple A for a tow and they told me an hour or less, 5 hours later no tow truck called ABC and they couldn t do it in house because of my dually, but got southern Maine towing out with a truck in under an hour, didn t have to make any extra calls, handled everything over the phone in under 10 minutes.

The woman I spoke with on the phone initially was very nice. I gave her my name car info and phone number. I told her what was wrong with the car and when I would like to have the car towed there and she said it should be okay. Later that day while still waiting for a tow I called back to make sure I could still have the car dropped off and the owner picked up. He seemed very irritated that he didn t have my contact info. I explained I had given it to the woman on the phone earlier that day but I could give it to him again. He cut me off as I was saying this and again mentioned he didn t have any information for me just my car make model and what was wrong. I told him I could give him my info again, which he then took down and explained the tow situation. I told him I wouldn t be there when the tow dropped the car and asked if that was okay. He then got irritated with me again and said that their were two other business bear by and I couldn t just have the car dropped anywhere in the lot. I then said ok I ll just cancel the tow and reschedule for tomorrow when I could be there with the tow truck. He then hung up on me. The next day I tried multiple times to get in touch with him to let him know I was on the way. When I arrived he came out and refused to take the car. He yelled at me told me I withheld my information from him and said I was rude. He refused to listen to me when I tried to explain I had heard good things about the place which was why I tried to bring my vehicle there and just continued to yell and tell me to leave.I m honestly very confused by the whole situation and would not recommend anyone try to work with this company. Would give zero stars if I could.
