I am a long time (5+ year) customer. I have also brought in additional customers to include family & friends. I called today to order oil for my mother in law who has also been a customer for a few years. They have been there many times. I received a call back stating there was a possibility they would not be able to deliver the oil (a week from today) as their driver noted last time he was on that road (not my mother in laws house), the road condition was too bad & that he was worried about breaking a spring on their only truck. This was after they committed to the delivery & charged me for the oil. I could understand if this was the first time they have been down the road & made that decision, this was not the case. I cannot understand how an oil delivery company can tell a long term customer NO on what they are in business to do, delivery oil. Either discontinue delivery on that road completely or deliver, don't just say "We can deliver sometimes & sometimes we can't" that's ridiculous. Even better acquire a truck that can handle any road with the exception of a road that hasn't been plowed etc. now I am forced to look for another oil company for my mother in law & myself as I will not do business like this. It blows my mind that so many companies today are really not customer oriented or really concerned about the welfare of their customers. This situation is unacceptable to me & as always I am able to discuss the matter if they so chose to do so. They have my number.Michael Denoncourt

Wow. These guys CANNOT be bothered to return my calls so that I might be able to give them a bunch money in return for their services. Perhaps this business is purely just a hobby to these guys? I cannot imagine a scenario where a business would be too busy or so flush with cash that they would not take the 5 minutes to either return a call or even answer the phone in the first place in an effort to secure more customers. I tried a week of calling hoping to get a return call so that I might have oil delivered. They could not come through with this simplest of tasks.I have never left business feedback, positive OR negative in my life. Advantage Fuels is so bad at customer service that they brought me to the decision to make them my first review ever. Shame. It's such a stupid reason to get a bad review.

BAD REVIEW!!!Advantage Fuel is the most unprofessional business I've EVER had to deal with. Do to my financial situation I was accepted for K1 fuel assistance. When asked who I wanted for a delivery service, I chose Advantage Fuel because they were local and I wanted to support a local business. However, when I called for the fuel I had to leave a msg, so I asked for a curtious phone call back to confirm they received my request and for the K1 delivery day. I NEVER received the curtious phone call, nor did I receive the fuel. I left another msg a week later explaining I was out of fuel and in dire need. Again, no return call! I did however recieve the delivery, but it was for the wrong fuel! They did not give me K1 fuel, but rather oil with the additive. My state assistance did NOT cover this and although Melissa knew I was not at fault she still asked me to pay, which I did because I'm an honest person. They told me I still had the credit on file and to call when I needed fuel again.Today I called and ordered the K1 and was told by Melissa they no longer deliver K1 in my area and they've already sent the credit back. She was unsympathetic of my situation and offered no help and hung up on me!I've NEVER wrote a review good or bad, but feel compelled to do so today! I hope my review will hurt their business and save someone else the aggrivation I'm going through.Sincerely,Tammy G.

Too often people only leave negative reviews. With any business that deals with the public it is sure to happen. They do seem to be busy lately. But they are a smaller locally owned business offering a good product at a competitive price with what has always been a reasonable turn around. If you run out of oil, you probably should have called earlier to schedule a delivery.

I have been a customer of Advantage fuels for a while. Few months ago I placed an order for some heating oil. In the past I have asked for a phone call when they are coming if I did not hear them knocking at the door and I don't like leaving the money out for other people to find. They came the last time and no phone call and left. When I called asked what had happened I got a response of "We were there and no one answered the door" and when asked why no phone call the response was "we don't have the time to call every customer". At which point they did not offer to come back out or reschedule the delivery. As I told them in the past and they most have forgot or not put in my account notes, I am disabled with leg issues making hard for me to go up and downstairs sometimes, which is the reason I ask for the phone call so I have time to get to the door and pay them.Now last 2 months I tried calling them back as they are the lowest price around and will not return my call. So I guess they do not cater to the needs of people with disabilities who ask for something as simple a phone call and ignore them when so they do not have to deliver to them.

The worst! Overflowed the tank into the basement. Phone line didn't work to get them back to clean it up, fire dept had to do it. When their line was up, sent an unqualified person to 'clean it up' and neutralize the odor...he showed up with just some random hardware store supplies to do it. The driver was my only contact, on his personal cell...never a call or follow up from anyone at the company office/owners/managers. The overflow impacted the guage which caused me to be out of oil later on and they take no ownership of fixing it, causing it and refuse to bring oil! I didn't want to use them again but in this emergency case, it should have been on them to resolve. No apologies, no empathy, could care less.

They were good in the beginning but now appear too busy to be bothered with providing any customer service. Left us hanging with no oil delivery and no follow up call. I now have no oil and their answer is well "Do you want to call someone else?" ......Terrible service!!

The folks at Advantage Fuel are just the nicest people. Have had them as my sole source of home heating oil for YEARS now. They have never missed a beat ...
