I saw a Saab at the Swedish Imports Value Center in Saco that I was interested in and ended up speaking to one of the owners, Paul about it. Paul was very personable and professional and extremely easy to work with. He went above and beyond to get me into the vehicle. He was honest and up front about it and streamlined the process making it one of the easiest and enjoyable car buying experiences I've ever had.Additionally, not only was the car in excellent shape, but the price was extremely reasonable. I will definitely take advantage of the quality vehicles and deals from Swedish Imports again in the future as well as utilize their upkeep and mechanical services for this vehicle. Paul created a customer for life!

Peter and his whole team at Swedish imports are the total package. I had a complicated engine job that couldn't be completed by another 'Volvo Specialist', and Peter did not hesitate to take on the job. The other shop had actually butchered my engine and Peter and his team located one, and installed it within a few weeks. When there were some pressure issues with the newly installed engine, he provided my family with a vehicle for a month while they figured out what was going on. He was professional, kept me in the loop, and was incredibly fair and transparent throughout this whole process. I cannot recommend Swedish Imports enough! Thank you so much for your help!

Wow! I have always heard great things about this place- and I can now say those words myself! I was able to make an appointment fast, had really friendly customer service, received expert work on my vehicle and was blown away that my bill was a fraction of the cost other places quoted me. It was all done in one day, too! Thank you, Swedish imports! Going to refer you guys to everyone with a European car!

Mike and his staff have worked on my BMW for years. Each visit for service has been completed to my satisfaction ( and more importantly, to my husband's satisfaction. Mike is willing to take the time needed to diagnose any problems and even go with you on a drive if needed.Staff at the desk and work bays are professional and courteous. The car is ready on time (with a courtesy cleaning) and the work is performed at a fair price.I highly recommend Swedish Imports. Susan

Mike and Jeff are great to deal with. Both very polite, knowledgeable, and thorough.The workmanship of the technicians at Swedish Imports is excellant and all seem to be very experienced.I have always had my service work done at Portland Volvo but since discovering Swedish Imports I'm much more impressed with their work and personal attention to details.Service: Wheel alignment

I can't say enough good things about Swedish Imports! I have a newer car and wanted to have it serviced locally. Swedish Imports did my annual maintenance, state inspection and replaced all of my tires. Last week, on the first day of my new job, I had a tire running low. They were quick to put my spare on and get me on my way. Additionally, they mounted my new tire so it was a quick visit to get things back to normal. They always go above and beyond, and I was impressed with the overall cleanliness prior to COVID and am now impressed with the measures they take to meet or exceed current CDC guidelines. Prompt, efficient, honest service - I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Oil change

We ve been going to Swedish Imports for many years, and Michael and his crew have always been wonderful to deal with. Their service is always efficient and friendly, and they speak you about your car in language you can understand . Always willing to help when we run into emergencies, doing what they can to get us rolling again as quickly as possible. We highly recommend them!

Having been so used to using one mechanic for most of my life, switching it up to Swedish Imports was a little nerve wracking, but I couldn t have been more pleased with my experience.I ve had trouble communicating with my mechanics in the past. I often left the shop feeling misunderstood, and my car usually ended up having either too much or too little work done on it.The service provided to me at Swedish Imports however, was top notch. Jeff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and after listening attentively to my explanation of the issues with my vehicle, he gave me clear feedback, and was able to answer all of my questions informatively and concisely.I was given an estimate detailing the work that could be done on my car, which was then discussed to prioritize the essentials.There were no surprise charges, no work was done without my approval, and I was provided a rental car for a small fee that was donated to charity!10/10I ll be back!

It's not often that you find the combination of top quality technical experience with European vehicles, outstanding customer service and a small community feeling. But we found it at Swedish Imports! Mike, Max and the team have consistently provided us with great service at reasonable prices. We've had everything from minor to major work done on our Audi Q7 at Swedish Imports, and have been happier with the service than we were with the Audi dealer. They stand behind their work, and have been ready to help whenever we've needed them.

Excellent service in a timely fashion. I complained about the price of replacing starter until I found out that a Honda had the same price. The Volvo I bought from Swedish Imports had 249,000 miles on it 2 years ago and I have put another 23,000 miles with a minimal amount of repairs.Mike and team are an excellent place to buy a used foreign car and serviced as well. I have been servicing my cars at Swedish Imports for over fifteen years. My experience has always been extremely positive, without exception. The atmosphere is both friendly and professional. My trust in the workmanship of Mike and the mechanics is of the highest order. Having owned cars since 1966, without any question, Swedish Imports is superior to any garage that I have ever used.

We have been using Michael and crew for over 20 years on our Saab s, Volvo s Audi s and Vdubs. You can always talk to mike about what is needed on your car, never had an up sell yet. That is why we go back, we trust we are only getting recommended services that we need, and know what is needed and what is coming up in 5k-10k miles. Very reputable.

Used Swedish Imports for the first time. Had Audi trucked in for exhaust system work. Greeted by Paul.Was impressed by cleanliness of facility. Was also surprised when told car would be ready the following afternoon assuming the parts were available. And it was ready. Price was very reasonable.Service: Exhaust

We have been bringing our cars to Swedish Imports for service for years and are always impressed with the high level of service received. They exceed all of our expectations. Our most recent service experience was no exception and this was even the case on a day in which staffing was tight. We strongly recommend Swedish Imports for service on your vehicle. We would also recommend them if you are looking to purchase quality pre-owned foreign cars (we have purchased 2 from them).

I have known and had Mike Kuna and his staff service my vehicles for many years. There have been several times when I presented Mike with an automotive problem that had to be fixed immediately even though I didn't have an appointment. He always managed to either made the necessary repair on the spot or arranged for a loaner so I never had to rent a car while mine was being worked on.Mike has always let me know what work needed to be done right away and what could be postponed. The work he has done has always been what I was told to expect and I have never had a complaint about the result. His prices are fair and he stands by his workSome time ago I purchased a Saab from Mike. The car served me well and I was very happy with the purchase. His staff is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive.I'm happy to recommend Swedish Imports without any reservation whatsoever. These guys are the real deal. Bought a used Volvo from them and, within a week, the "check engine" light came on. I took it back and they flushed the vacuum pump system. A few days later, the light came on again. I made perhaps 3 trips up to Kennebunk for this issue, getting complimentary loaners while they searched out the problem. Finally, they just replaced the entire vacuum pump system. Cost to me? $00.00! All the while Mike and Matt were friendly, smiling, professional and honorable in all their dealings with me. I'm glad the problem is fixed, but I actually miss going up there and chatting with them. I highly recommend their service. And I love my Volvo!

If you own a unique car and need some place to service it you cannot go wrong trusting Swedish Imports. My smart fortwo stopped charging and I had to have it towed for repair. Michael and his crew trouble shot it was the alternator, procured a replacement, and installed it so all is well.Service: Electrical repairService: Electrical repair

I have been taking my 1997 Volvo 850 to Swedish Imports since I moved to Southern Maine in I believe 2005ish and my Volvo still runs great, great gas mileage, safe car. Unfortunately for Swedish Imports it runs so good I haven't needed to bring it in, in well over a year. I did call though for some advice. Keep up the Good Work, Mike, and don't go out of business because of me.

Excellent and skillful service at a fair price. Think it's easy to find good service for a 2006 Aston Martin in Southern Maine? Or anywhere, for that matter, at a reasonable cost. Mike and the crew cared for my exotic car with great intelligence and persistence. A real resource for any car enthusiast in the area.

Had a loose bumper and stopped in to have them look at to see if okay to drive the car. The Service Person (MJ?) was exceptional- helpful and friendly. Mike the mechanic took a quick look and said it needed a longer repair. He was patient and explained to me options. I brought car in and it was serviced well. I appreciate they have loaner cars for a small fee (makes like so much easier). Found the service to be very good, but was most impressed with the service attitude and kindness they extended. Thank you!

I can t say enough great things about Swedish Imports. I own a 2009 Audi Q7 and over the years we ve taken our car there for servicing. They are consistently fair and the quality of their work is very good. No reason to take the car anywhere else.

I recently brought my Mini Cooper in for service as I am going on a road trip to celebrate my mom s 90th birthday and I will be traveling alone with my 2 tiny chihuahuas. My car left the shop in beautiful running order and I couldn t have been more pleased with the technical expertise and professionalism that this shop has always demonstrated. I would not trust anyone else with servicing either my Mini or my Volvo and would highly recommend Sweedish Imports for the outstanding way that both myself and my cars have been treated. Mike and his Staff are extreemly proffesional. They found the problem I was having with my VW Jetta and repaired it quickly. They gave me a complimentary checkup on things like antifreeze strength and brake life.They are appreciative and trustworthy.

Smoke came out of our Subaru right after we arrived Kennebunkport. It is just time of the year, we quickly found out all Subaru dealers in the area was fully booked until mid Aug and no one was able to move us up until we found Swedish Imports. Jeff at Swedish Imports agreed to shift his schedules and squeeze us in without a hesitation after learning we are from NY and need to head back in two days. He took us in and started ordering parts right away. You can tell Jeff is the type of person you can rely on even if this is the end of the world Lucky us!Jeff and his crew fixed our car the second day and we were able to resume our Kennebunkport trip and back to NY without any time wasted!Thank you Jeff and Swedish Imports crew!Service: A/C installation & repair

I've been a customer of Swedish Imports since I bought my first Saab in 2002. I have the same opinion of them now that I had then when JJ's father ran the business. Honest dedicated people with integrity. I've never had a single complaint in 14 years. Not one. I could not recommend Swedish Imports more highly!
