Just had my driver's license renewed today at Kennebunk office. Showed up with no appointment and was out of there in 45 minutes with my new license processed. As I waited I observed how all the employees interacted with their customers. In my opinion every customer was serviced in aprofessional and courteous way. It was great to see! Keep up the good work.

We all have heard the DMV Nightmare stories. Well, my experience at the Kennebunk DMV was flawless, not a long wait, no appointment, was number 29, they were serving number 26, I needed a new license plate, lost my front one, the lady assisting me gave me two options for replacing the plate.. was out within 15 minutes and had new plates.. Yes! That quick, I swear, so a thumbs up from me and a recommendation!

On my last visit, I was floored at the unprofessional treatment of customers. The receptionists were going out of their way to make things difficult or to make people feel like a bother. The manager was out that day, but I can't imagine it would have been much different had they been there. Not returning to this branch.

been there half a dozen times over the years and the service is always great, especially when you consider the fact that they have to deal with a LOT of unreasonable, rude people all.day.long.

I swear to God they should have someone hiding behind the door whose sole purpose is to just punch you in the face when you walk in, at least then the waiting experience won't be so bad in comparison. The people that work here are the slowest most inefficient people I have ever seen. As of that's not bad enough there are only 2-3 people working on any given day. The DMV really needs to streamline their processes and train their employees to work faster and better.

Honestly best experience I ve ever had at the DMV. We made an appointment and got right in. It was my sons first time besides the road test. I wish I knew the lady s name but she was great. Super friendly, made us laugh and was patient with the picture taking.

Tricky to get into the right parking lot. There are multiple businesses with their own entrances, and the lots are not connected to each other. Otherwise it went smoothly after we got inside.

Great experience if you get an appointment first - basically no wait! Others had clearly been sitting and waiting for a very long time. The woman that helped me was very efficient and very nice. Great experience.

The waiting is par for the course at the Kennebunk DMV. The gentleman that served me at Station 6 needs to call it quits. Why do people like him always work with the public? I had several questions in regard to renewing my license, and he just stared at me. You would have thought I was speaking to him in Swahili. No smile, very condescending, and no people skills. Find a new job. In contrast, the ladies at Station 1 and 4 seemed very pleasant. Since I sat there for an hour and a half, I the had time to watch and listen.

Was extremely busy. Twenty people ahead of me. Waited 1 hour & 45 min. to renew my license. All associates were friendly and efficient.

I had the most pleasant experience at the DMV this morning in Kennebunk. The staff was great and I was in and out in under one hour! Be sure to have all your required paperwork with you- and arrive before 8 am because there will be a line!

After reading other's reviews, my husband and I went somewhat reluctantly to the Kennebunk office. We arrived 5 minutes prior to opening and were 6th in line. Three women working were efficient and we were called up after only waiting about 15 minutes. Our observations of the three women were all positive. Our worker was pleasant, sociable and displayed a good sense of humor. A very pleasant experience.

Crowded today, but the wait time was accessible. Once I was at the counter, everything went well. I only spent 20 minutes getting my new Real ID. A good experience overall.

Actual hell on earth. Incompetent and unhelpful. I had a tooth pulled last week and that was a more pleasureable experience than my appointment at this useless dmv.

Very frustrating. The experience started out great- I was greeted by a security guard who asked some screening questions and told me the wait would be 90 to 120 minutes. Very friendly and efficient. When it was my turn, I asked to have my license renewed and updated to a real ID. She looked at my license and told me it was too soon to renew(bummer!), but I said I'd like to upgrade it to a Real ID. Instead of saying yes or looking at my paperwork, she told me that if I did that I'd have to pay $30 dollars today and then a larger sum to renew my license later this year. I reiterated that I wanted to upgrade(I recognize this is not the fiscally sensible action, but I had been waiting for almost 2 hours and this was my third visit to try and upgrade my license). Instead of helping me, she continued to tell my why I shouldn't. Eventually I just left after she made no effort to help upgrade my license. When people were entering the building I also heard her trying to dissaude people from upgrading their license and just to use their passports to travel. Very frustrated that I spent the day putting all my paperwork together, driving an hour, waiting an hour and a half, just to be refused service based.on someone's whims.

I couldn't go over three stars, it's the DMV for goodness sake.It was fairly busy but people were being served pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and informative. The office was a little difficult to find not being familiar with the area and the odd placement of the sign, I missed my turn initially.I ended up at a building behind the DMV, luckily they had the entrance well marked and I spotted that rather quickly.I miss not having a real person that provides customer service and guidance. I was there to take a test and it was unclear as to the procedure.I ended up taking a number from the kiosk that was unnecessary, not a big deal. I waited about ten minutes when the instructor came out and alerted me where to go.Overall a good experience.

Motor vehicles is one very busy place. They do registration, exams written, and road they do identification cards, switching registrations, ordering titles, they are covid friendly meaning you go to the door which is locked and someone will open the door ask you to step in they ask you some questions then you can sanitize and they will get your number now and show you available seats. Than you wait. However in the time I waited every single co worker washed down the pen, washed down the table in front of customers, I did not see anyone washing the arms of the chairs in the waiting area. However that may take more time. If the worker that opened the doors wiped them down in-between that could help other feel a bit safer. I do thank you for going as far as you do tho. If your their for identification card you need a piece of mail birth certificate and ssn# if you just bring that with you you won't be turned away. And for exams I brought it all with me including your appointment card for the exam you won't be turned away. In fact if you bring all that for whatever you do you may not be turned away. They do ask since they are covid friendly and go their extra mile that we wear masks or shields. I thank you so much for being safe for us all. They do have a limit as to how many can fit inside. So be prepared to wait outside incase they are full.

Every single employee there went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience. It was a bit of a wait but it's the DMV. It was expected. Overall happy with my visit.

If you're thinking of moving to Maine, dont. I went here to renew my license, but they had 30-50 people standing outside in 30MPH wind and rain all lined up instead of letting them come inside. No one had masks or was distanced so what is the point of not letting us inside? The government of Maine is legitimately insane and should be ashamed of themselves. Do not ever move here.

After weeks of calling I finally got an appointment for a month later. Due to unforeseen circumstances my 19 month old sister had to come with me. When I got to the door at 3:55 they said I don t know if you can bring the child in. She s 19 months old, was she supposed to stay home alone? My dad forgothis wallet so we asked if he could mail a check. They said he couldn t so we left. Just after leaving we saw there was a bank nearby so we went there to withdraw some cash. We got the cash and went straight back. Upon arriving back at 4:14, we were told that the DMV was closed and we could not come in because we didn t indicate we were coming back according to the lady who met us at the door. The DMV closes at 4:30. It was 4:14 and they would not let us in. I understand that if we just had the wallet, we could ve avoided this mess, but this service was atrocious and cold.

If you bought a leased vehicle and are told by the lessor to go to the DMV to transfer ownership, it s BS. I ve lived in other states where there is a person at the door of the DMV who asks why you re there and instructs you what paperwork you need so you don t waste your time sitting there for 2 1/2 hours when you have taken time off work to be there. Also don t tell the customer they are authorized to skip the line if for whatever reason the City Hall sends them back to the DMV because in some cities, City Hall is closed on Fridays and then the customer is just SOL.

Easy to find, plenty of parking. Arrived at 11:25 am on a Monday. My wife and I were there to turn in our out of state licenses for Maine licenses. Took a number and waited 20 minutes to be called. Fred helped both of us at the same time. He was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We were done and out of there in less than an hour! Very pleased.

Got my Real ID today. Got to the facility a little after 8::00am on a Friday. Waited outside 5 minutes. Waited inside 30 minutes. Process was even quicker. Staff was very nice.

My partner and I recently moved to Maine and visited the Kennebunk BMV to get new licenses. The wait was short, and we were paired with Joan, who was new, but friendly and helpful. She was being trained by another women, whose name we didn't get, but presumably a manager. The process took a while as Joan was training, which was fine. The manager proceeded to be very condescending, impatient, and rude to Joan. It was awkward to witness. Then she began treating us in much the same way, trying to find problems with our documentation and information, and then cranky when she couldn t. We also overheard her being surly to others. It was as if the manager was the Trunchbull and she viewed everyone as naughty pupils. The whole situation was unfortunate. I hope this was simply a bad day and not the usual state of affairs. However, Joan was lovely, and the only reason we didn t simply walk out.

We went today to change the address on our driver's licenses to find you could not walk in, had to have an appointment. No word of that on their site, but nice young man was there, told us to call the number posted and it could be done by phone. So we tried it, the lady who answered was very nice also, helped us, and on to home we went.

The Lady working the entrance door today in this location was beyond rude, and hateful. I would give it zero stars if I could. She was rude to me as well as everyone else entering. She clearly was annoyed with everyone right from the start. This was quite the experience today and really felt like we were all on a prank show or something. I really hope management looks into this.

Please be kind to them. With covid restrictions and high demand, you may wait awhile and that's okay.Don't plan your trip to here If you are going to be in a rush, and be aware that your new IDS must be mailed to you and it can take a bit. They are doing a great job.

Lives up to its reputation. Lady was looking for any excuse to deny us a license and was not friendly. Service itself was fairly quick for DMV, but again, I kept waiting for them to find a reason to turn us away. Just be prepared.
