The folks at Frank's Garage in Gray were able to help get a new battery installed the same day that I needed it. Friendly and professional. Fair price for labor and parts.

My car developed a loud knocking noise, called up an auto repair shop near me and they advised they could get me in in about a week. Happened to be driving by Frank s and decided to stop in at 12:30 pm on a Friday afternoon, just to see if they could give me a quick diagnosis on the noise. They said they could probably take a look at it before the end of the day and let me know. Got a call from them about an hour later that they located the noice, and could have it fixed for under $400 and it would be ready before the end of the day. I call that a huge win!! Will certainly be back for any future repair needs! I didn t think no appointment same day repairs existed any more!

Discovered today there was a screw in my front driver side tire and called Franks garage and they said come right over and it was fixed in about 10 minutes by Nathan.Thank you for the great service!Will recommend to our friends and family!

I ve been coming here for a few years now. They re great people, good customer service and have always worked with me to get my cars fixed when needed. They don t push repairs on you that are unnecessary and prices have always been fair. I highly recommend Franks Garage if you need to have your car repaired.

I went to franks because I had an issue with the sound coming from my left front wheel when I turned right. Franks diagnosed it as an issue with the wheel bearings and recommended I go to the dealership because my vehicle was still under warranty. I went to the dealership and they gave me a hard time but eventually fixed one of the bearings. I brought my vehicle back to franks and they let me know that the one that was fixed was fine but the other one was still causing the issue. They recommended I try to go back to the dealership. I went back and the dealership and they told me this was not even something that is covered under warranty. I did my research along with the advice Franks gave me and pushed back on the dealership who eventually let me know they had made a mistake and realized it would be covered. I truly appreciated Franks honesty in advising me to go back to the dealership. I m sure they would have loved to have my business but they didn t want to take it knowing that this was something that should be covered under my warranty. I ended up getting the issue fixed under warranty and saved myself a ton of money. I m not sure every car garage would have done the same. I will certainly be going back .

As a woman with a decent level of automotive savvy I'm always very aware of a mechanic's demeanor when I bring a vehicle in. I've encountered a disheartening number of scenarios where I've been treated in a blatantly condescending manner and quoted unreasonably high prices for work I didn't need. I've had a garage tell me my vehicle wasn't safe to drive home unless I had front and rear pads and rotors (for the low, low price of 875) fitted right then and there. I'd personally replaced all four assemblies less than two months prior and confirmed when I got home that it was a weak attempt to take advantage of someone they assumed was none the wiser.This has never once been the case at Frank's. They've been helpful, honest and accommodating every step of the way. They once threw a beater jeep I'd snagged on an impulse onto the lift and let me come look it over with them after an hour of diagnostic work on their part. They told me not to waste my money, as they were quoting around 2,000 to start and didn't think it was worth it. Ever hear of a garage discouraging someone from unnecessary and expensive work? I definitely hadn't. They charged me a whopping $18 despite all the time they took. I had an actual conversation with a mechanic about feeling as though I was severely undercharged. I recently called about a flat tire, they had me bring it in the same hour, patched it so quickly I didn't even have time to stare at my phone, brought the tire out, loaded it in my back seat and charged me all of $13.I could go on, but y'all get the point. The level of integrity and honesty they show is unparalleled and I'll never take any of my vehicles anywhere else as long as Frank's is open for business.

Unfortunately and fortunately I've had the pleasure of having my vehicle serviced here. I am here for the winter from Vermont where I out not able to go to my mechanic, a friend, who owns a service station. I am just under 10 minutes away from Frank's, I have had to bring my vehicle there, three times and Counting at this point, and I am scheduled there again soon. I don't know people in this area, so when I drop my vehicle off for the day they bring me back home, and then pick me up when the vehicle is done. I'm sure other places may do this , but being away from my friends and family and Network I am so familiar with, this has made me feel like I can count on someone here. Very friendly, helpful and thorough with letting me know what my vehicle needs, time to fix it, Etc.

Always have really positive experiences at Frank's Garage. Fred and crew are trustworthy, reasonably price and perform good quality work. I recently broke down on the side of the road and Fred went out of his way to tow me to the garage and even gave me a ride home. Couldn't recommend more.

This morning (snowy/rainy mess) my husband was delivering a snowblower to a customer, and ended up with a flat tire. Then he broke his own tire pump, and was miles from home, the local gas station's air pump was out of service (it was one of those days). He stumbled upon Frank's Repair Service, in Gray. He asked if they could possibly fill the tire. They said absolutely filled the tire and refused any money for their trouble. Awesome service!Service: Tires

These guys are great! I've been bringing cars here for about 17 years and have always found them to be professional, friendly, quick, and fair. They give a clear estimate so there's no surprise costs. I definitely recommend them.

As a woman, one of the things I appreciate most about doing business with Frank's Garage ("new ownership") is that they don't treat me as someone lacking in knowledge of vehicles - which is consistent with the " old ownership's" way of doing business. Their prices are fair, service is efficient and friendly, and I really like that I can trust their professional opinion when I ask questions or need advice on a repair. I highly recommend Frank's Garage for your vehicle maintenance and/or repair.

Multiple times they've either performed the wrong repair (and refused to refund) or done shoddy work that lasted less than a month. When confronted, they claimed that if it works long enough to leave the shop it's not their problem.
