I recently took my car to Alternative Autobody, and I have to say, it was an awesome experience! Jared was super friendly and kept me in the loop the whole time. The service was fast and efficient, and now my car looks absolutely amazing. If you need any rust work done, this is the place to go!

My 2013 Ford F150 needed rocker panels replaced. Jared explained how he could do the job for me one of two ways depending on how bad the rockers were. He actually showed me one he was working on and how it would look when done. Extremely happy with how it came out. Great work done by great guy. Thanks Jared! I'll see you with any future needs!

Great work, great price, great relief to have the repairs expertly madeWhen waxing my 1994 Acura Integra GS-R in October, I found a spot in front of the right rear wheel where rust had working in the paint. The car is not a show car but I ve owned in since new and have tried to keep it in good mechanical and cosmetic condition.I contacted the Gorham office of a local auto body and collision center franchise and they referred me to Jared Skillings and his Alternative Auto Body shop as the rust repair and prevention expert. I am glad they did.I visited Jared s web site and was very pleased with the details it contained as well as the excellent reviews posted by past customers. So, I called and made an appointment to bring the car in for him to take a look. When arriving for the appointment, it was immediately clear that Jared not only knew what he was doing but also cared about what he was doing. He explained exactly how he would fix the problem and that he would check out several hidden areas and fix any problem found as needed plus apply POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating to prevent rust from occurring. We made an appointment to bring the car in for the needed work.When the car was ready for pickup, I was very pleased with the measures taken to repair the existing rust spot and a couple of other small spots he found. He also explained how he used the POR-15 to kill rust in inaccessible spots that might otherwise occur in the future. It was a great relief to me that the Integra was good to go for a long time to come. Jared s work was not only exceptional but the price was very reasonable.Jared is a professional and an artisan. He is also a very good guy; very personable and understanding. He was also very accommodating in helping me deliver the car to his shop and back home when the work as completed. This was a happy experience for me and I am pleased to provide Jared my highest recommendation.

Jared has been doing yearly fluid film on my 3 vehicles for over five years and does a fantastic job. My mechanic, at Charlie s in Augusta, commented that he has never seen fluid film done so well. Jared is very detailed when applying fluid film. My mechanic stated it was applied throughout the underneath, even in small crevices, where most fluid film applicators generally only spray the frame. Jared has always done fantastic work. To hear comments, from a certified mechanic, that whoever is doing my fluid film is the best he has ever seen, is a true testament to the kind of quality work you will receive from Jared!Thank you Jared, for contributing to the longevity of my vehicles!

Jared was fair, knowledgeable and friendly! He carefully explained what the rust issues were and gave us a few options on how to fix the rust problem. He clearly has a ton of experience and knows what he is doing. The work was done faster than expected, was done well and the price was exactly what he quoted. I ve got a young 2016 Toyota Corolla (used) that recently started developing rust along the driver s side door. Not knowing where to turn for rust repair, I called around until I received a very high recommendation to contact Jared at Alternative Autobody. I m truly so pleased I took this advice! Jared provides top-notch customer service he s professional, personable, genuine, dependable, and trustworthy. My rust situation is a bit of a unique one in that it requires a bit more digging/legwork to secure parts (since my car is rather new), but Jared went above and beyond by thoroughly researching and proposing various solutions per my scenario, as well as being totally transparent about pricing and all logistics up front. He performed an interim solution on my vehicle including rust removal + a paint job, and you wouldn t even be able to tell there was any work done at all--it looks fantastic. Jared is professional, courteous, and does what he says he's going to do on the day when he says he's going to do it, finished ahead of schedule and below his estimate! He runs a nice clean shop, does a great job on rust repair and is nice guy!He is the only person I know of that does these kind of repairs and therefore is very busy. Book ahead or he can notify you of a cancellation and get you in.I wish more guys ran their shop the way he does.5 stars!

Alternative Autobody was great! Jared was very responsive and thorough from the first phone call to the completion of the job. I went to Jared with a complicated problem: finding a water leak! He helped me diagnosis the problem, which was actually caused by another "body man" who had worked on my car. There was no upside for him to help me out, but he did, and he couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. I am going to see him for any auto body work I need done, for sure!

Wow! Needed a small repair job to my Jeep liftgate. This business was pretty backed up. Within a couple of weeks had an appointment. Owner did this small job and was done after a couple of evenings. Fabulous job. Just plain down to earth business. No monkey business. Couldn't be happier!

Very accommodating, explained things well, completed work on time, and professional.I needed bodywork done in order to get an inspection sticker. Jared explained what needed to be done, time frame how he would do it and price. The work was completed as he explained In the time frame and with the price quoted. My experience with Alternative Autobody falls right in line with other reviews I see - excellent. On my 2009 VW Jetta wagon I had let it get rusted and completely deteriorated around the rear fender, down the rocker, into the wheel well, and up a into the door sill to the point it failed inspection. That s a lot of curves and radiuses to contend with to make it look right - especially at a reasonable price - and Jared nailed it. He clearly takes pride in his work. I had to wait a while on a waiting list to get his time which may be the only catch with a one-man show like this but I m glad I waited. I d send anyone to Alternative Autobody who needs body/rust repair.Services: Painting, Body & Trim
