I recently replaced my windshield and had to recalibrate it. Holly Allen and Dean Woodman were absolutely FANTASTIC! In this day and age of lack luster customer service, these 2 REALLY stood out. I will definitely take all of my glass needs to them. Thank you for making my experience so pleasant.

Very nice staff. They were there exactly when scheduled and did a beautiful job. After he was finished, he cleaned up and left everything "as if no one had been there." We are very happy.

The gentlemen who dod the replacement were very nice and answered all the questions I have. They even placed an order for a part that was messed up from a previous replacement company. I was quite pleased with their service and will definitely recommend them.

Our cottage is on the ocean and the view is of paramount importance to us. Portland Glass of Ellsworth took care in the measurement and installation of a window almost 25 square feet in area. I would highly recommend them.

Great service! They made my windshield appointment work with my schedule. They ended up finishing earlier than expected, and the cost didn't break the bank. If I ever need a window replaced again will definitely stick with them.

When we called to inquire as to where the representative was to look at our window problem, first we were told that the computers were down that managed scheduling (totally understandable) but when called back, we were then told we had the wrong appointment date. When I shared that the person we spoke to at the beginning of the month had set the date when we would be in town, she responded that it was the following week - with no acknowledgment that the scheduling date was incorrect on the part of Portland Glass company. The individual was unprofessional and actually hung up on us when we shared that if they couldn t do it this week, we would need to look at another company. No how can we make this work, or we are sorry for the miscommunication . If this is any indication of quality of work, glad of the scheduling snafu.

I needed a piece of glass cut to replace 1 of a 2 pane insulated window. After explaining what I needed it for I was surprised I needed to convince them it could be done without replacing the whole window. They tried to sell me a whole new window I didn't want or need.I was a commercial painter for 25 yrs & replaced hundreds of windows. Mine replaced just fine. They cut glass for an old employer of mine so I knew they had different types of custom glass. Would a man have needed to explain what it was for so in depth before they took the order? Or got the same "you need a whole new window" sales pitch?

I can't give 5 stars because there were several communication issues. We set up the rough estimate for custom shower doors. After not hearing anything we called to get the details.We were told delivery would be about 6 weeks after down payment. It took longer. We called and were told it was " in" but they had to find it. ( it had been there a while) Why hadn't anyone called us? We set up the install and they never called to confirm. I called that morning and was told someone might be out... they have to find our glass and someone called out so they would have to schedule us a week later! I asked to have an earlier date and they said the manager would call me but...nope. so a week goes by and Again, no confirmation call the day before but they did show. The work seems good but they just don't communicate well.The staff was friendly but I still think they didn't keep us informed.I know Covid has hurt staffing but I think communications could have gone better throughout the process.

My daughters front windshield cracked I called Portland glass in Ellsworth, they got me in right away. Great customer service & Affordable prices.I also use them two-or- three years back but I live down in Jonesport. I was cutting my lawn and a rock flew right into my neighbors front window. They came out and measured it and had it replaced within a couple of weeks. Made to order. I was very impressed with their service. once again that s why I went there to do my daughters car. I know you ll be happy to!

I had two windows with a failed seal which were very foggy inside. Portland Glass got exactly the right size panes, and now they are the best looking windows in my house! Installers were very courteous and did the job fast, too!

Our car was broken into and the driver side door was bashed in, at a hotel on our way to Maine for vacation. We had to drive with plastic on the door for 8 hours and wasnt looking forward to a 14 hour plus drive home with this horrendous noise. Portland glass was able to fit us in before we left for home. They had me in and out within an hour and were super friendly and professional. They even have guest WiFi for while you re waiting. Thank you for making this a smooth transaction while we our on vacation. I highly recommend them to anyone needing glass repair!

Have recommended Portland Glass to clients and customers for years but my experience with the Ellsworth Store was a nightmare from beginning to end. High praise for their technicians. However, their customer service is horrendous. Staff lost crucial measurements, did not call back when requested and was quoted one estimate price one day and an increased estimate price the next. Was warned about their service and should have listened. Called a competitor and was treated royally. Not a reflection on other Portland Glass operations but cannot recommend this one.

We special ordered a 40 round piece of glass to protect the custom paint job on a prominent table in our new AirBnB. Everyone was fantastic from ordering it to delivery!

This is actually a great fudge shop, although it has other products. A great selection of delicious fudge. I bought a few pounds to take back to Virginia. Wish I bought more.

We called Portland Glass to replace a pane of glass in our bay window. Due to the age of the window and through no fault of their own they couldn t complete the work even after bringing a pre-cut piece of glass to our home with a crew of two artisans. I offered to split our deposit 50/50 with them as they had incurred costs in time and labor. They refunded 100% of my deposit. Above and beyond.
