Visiting from out of town when our transmission failed. Talked with Carl to discuss our options. He was very helpful and he helped advise me on finding a quality used unit. Once it arrived, they worked me into their schedule and it was finished in 2 days. The price came in under their original estimate. Can't say enough about this place!!...went out of their way to fit me in! Actually drove my car to get a feel for what was wrong...usually car places just look! From the time I called to make appt, to the time I left from that appt, these guys were so knowledgeable & helpful with my car. They were not SALESY, but truly helpful. This will be my hometown garage. Trustworthy, professional, & kind.

These guys are awesome! Had an issue with my car as I was heading out for a long trip and they were able to get me in right away and take care of me. Very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend.

Honestly not sure this was an employee, but assuming so. Drove by this past Sunday and saw someone outside working under a vehicle on the lift. Wasn't sure if they were open. Stopped to simply ask a question regarding their services and when I approached the gentleman (Steven) who was spraying something under the car (undercoat, oil, uncertain) he didn't acknowledge that I was there. Maybe he really didn't see me. I asked, "excuse me, I just had a question about vehicle inspection." He didn't take his respirator off and said something to me, which I didn't understand, and went back to working. I said, "I didn't hear you." He ignored me. I turned away and took about 4 steps towards the building to see if anyone else was working inside to speak with. I didn't see anyone and as I was turning back towards him I see him aggressively taking the respirator off and throwing it on the ground. Again aggressively he said I didn't want to take my fxxxxxx mask off, we're closed. He came out from under the car in manner that I was honestly uncertain if he was going to throw a punch at me. I told him I just wanted information. He said it's on the sign, call in. I asked him what his name was and he said Steven. I walked to my car. As I was backing up, I turned to look back and saw that he had put his respirator on and was pointing his spray gun at my car and sprayed in my direction, waving it a bit. I stopped and got out to look and see if he had sprayed my car. As I got around the vehicle to look, he was back under the car he was spraying. There didn't seem to be anything on my car so I got in and left. I will be calling today to speak with management (hoping he isn't the manager). I'm writing this post because I didn't feel served, but also safe. I certainly wouldn't send my wife or daughters here due to the volatile interaction I had.

Seem friendly. Were very fair the first time I went there to have an exhaust patch. UPDATE: Carl is a very nice and knowledgeable guy, he explains everything about the issue, without "talking down" to you, very fair and reasonable about price. These guys are the only garage we use now. 10/10

We were traveling. Our car had a stuck brake caliper. They took us in at one finished by two and we're extremely reasonable in price. They are very personable. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Set up an appointment for my annual inspection. Gentleman on the phone was very pleasant. Inspection was done quickly, and they took the time to remove the goop from my previous inspection sticker (something the previous place I'd chosen had not.) I was contacted mid-inspection for an offer to replace my low battery key fob as well. I had been meaning for some time to do that and hadn't gotten to it, so the attention to detail is much appreciated. Exceptionally convenient location for me, and I will certainly be back. Highly recommended.

So happy to have found a great auto shop in Ellsworth! My old mechanic is 3 hours away, so it is reassuring to know that I can take my car to Main Street & get friendly, reliable and economical service. Super helpful on the phone and in person, showed me what needed to be done on the car and why, and best of all, got it done quickly and didn't go over the estimate.

I won t take my cars anywhere else. They are always fair and honest with me and don t treat me like a stupid female when I have a question. They try hard to work around my schedule.

These guys are friendly, reliable and always do a super job. I go to them for brakes, tires, oil changes, basically anything you need. I definitely recommend them!
