Took my daughter s car there for brakes and rotors, $650 later the brake pads were extremely low quality and had to be replaced and same with the rotors they had to be replaced after 13k miles 1k miles over warranty. Less than two months after having the brake pads done she took it to a mechanic in RI where she had moved to and the pads were trash and had to be replaced. I should have known then the rotors were, too. So much money completely wasted by a company using subpar materials.

Quick change from snow tires to all season. Took an hour as promised. Quick retorque. Love that they store my snows over the summer. Friendly, competent service as always.

Absolutely dishonest. I brought an auto in for annual inspection. I was told I needed four new tires, that the treads were splitting and coming apart. (Funny how they specialize in selling tires). I immediately took the auto to a nearby reputable auto repair shop. They inspected all four tires and found nothing wrong with them. They lied to my face and said it was the "law" that they couldn't pass the tires and that I'd fail inspection anywhere else I went. I looked up the Maine law on tire safety, and reviewed the Maine Auto Inspection Guidelines. Nothing in either about what they said. They are dishonest. Go elsewhere.

Excellent service (both Mr. Harmon and John Mott assisted us) and quality tires are why we have been coming to Harmon's for so many years. The prices are fair, the technicians are careful, meticulous, and knowledgeable, and the waiting area is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with amenities and no TV!! And every growing season, the beautiful flowers outside speak to who Mr. Harmon is as a businessman and citizen. And we always enjoy receiving a hand-written thank you note from Albert Harmon himself after a service visit!!

Thank you to John, Caleb and the service techs for quickly getting my husband and I back on the road home! On our last night camping, we were headed to get some ice cream when our car suddenly indicated one of our rear tires was low. Turned out to be what looked like a huge piece of gravel had punctured the tread. The next morning we took it to a local repair shop who took a cursory look at it and told us we'd need a new tire and referred us to Harmon's. That was a good thing because once Caleb closely examined it and John (with some effort) removed it, it was determined that the pointed end of the gravel was actually quite small and had only minimally pierced the tire. We were able to wait and the service tech securely plugged the tire for a heck of a lot less than the cost of a new tire!!. We were then able to drive back to the campsite to load up all of our gear and then return to Harmon's for a final torque of the lugs before hitting the road for the final trip back home to NY. Thanks again to the Harmon's staff for averting what could have been a crisis and helping us to get safely back home!!

Cheerful and accommodating as I was traveling in the state of Maine. John was my contact person and he was knowledgeable and addressed my concerns. The price quoted was the price paid. Happy and would recommend their services.

Went in for inspection on my car.Suddenly there s a bunch of charges because they replaced things WITHOUT consulting. These lights did not need replacing. No permission was given. The owner started talking over my wife and yelled about how he s going to remove the inspection on the car.I brought to his attention the legalities of doing work without permission him and the he s not touching my car again, he yelled more and booted my wife. Not impressed.

Stopped in unexpectedly due to low tire pressure, and the worker who helped me out was very courteous and extremely helpful. So glad a gentleman at a gas station referred this facility me to this place.

These guys are super nice, helpful, and honest. We were visiting the area from out of town and got a flat tire. The other tire shops in the area had rude, unhelpful staff (one place tried to take advantage of us but fortunately we know enough about cars to know better!). Harmon s patched our tire quickly and for a reasonable price. They were friendly and I would recommend them 100/10. Thanks for helping us out!!!

On Oct.27, 2022, I developed car trouble on my way home to PA. My Volvo wagon was packed to the gills, including the family's elderly cat, Zoe. My car limped into their parking area, and lucky for me, I was warmly met by Regina at the front desk.Long story short, they diagnosed and fixed my car (replaced an ignition coil) with a total turn around time of less than 3 hours on a very busy day for them. The cost was very reasonable and I was back on the road with a 10 hour drive ahead of me.I cannot sing their praises enough. They were GREAT in every way. I highly recommend Harmons. To reference Maine's motto - It's the Way Service Should Be!THANK YOU Regina, John, and your GREAT SERVICE DEPT !

Returned to Harmon's Tire for new snow tires after obtaining several estimates for the same tire. I've been dealing with dealers for awhile. After learning Harmon's estimates beat out all others, scheduled my appointment.Arrived nearly a half hour early but was advised my car would be serviced within a few minutes.Walked across the street. Enjoyed a meal at Governor. Received a call from Harmon's Service Desk that my vehicle was ready.Bring on the snow! And thank you Harmon's for the piece of mind and amazing service from start to finish.

A great experience. A sidewall puncture required replacing all 4 tires. I got good quality for a great price and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Harmon's was recommended to me by our neighbors. Glad we asked. We needed new tires, so stopped by there to get a quote. They suggested General tires at a great sale price. Made an appointment for that afternoon. Drove away happily less than hour later. The process couldn't have gone more smoothly. We purchased some great tires and received even better service.

I was on vacation with my family in Acadia and had a tire emergency. With having AWD I needed 4 new tires before I drove states away home. They found some and I made my appointment to get my tires fixed but the truck that was delivering them didn't drop them off. I took my car there at the appointment time and they said they'll get it handled and told me not to worry. 1 hour later I got the call my car was done. They stayed late to finish it and even had me drive around and then come back to retorque the lugs. Beyond thankful for their service because it allowed us to get home safely.

So we were traveling in Maine from Iowa towing our car. We discovered one of our tires had a broken belt. We found Harmon s to be a very professional and well managed tire repair center. To our pleasant surprise today (about a month after our visit to Maine) we received a handwritten Thank you from Albert Harmon. In today s age of computer, cell phones, etc, to receive this note went above and beyond in service to customers. We would recommend Harmon s to everyone.

My last experience at Harmon's was unfortunately quite negative. I had phoned to schedule an appointment to get my summer tires put back on my car. At the same time, I inquired about purchasing new wheels or rims that my winter tires could be mounted on so the swaps didn't take as long. It could've been a simple case of miscommunication but I was told that I could indeed purchase new wheels and it would be relatively inexpensive (90$ or so).Upon arriving at my appointment, I inquired again about purchasing new wheels so my winter tires could be mounted to them. I was told that not only would they not be able to sell me new rims, they would also be several times more expensive than I was quoted due to the tire pressure sensors. I do believe this was honest miscommunication but a bit disheartening, especially when none of the staff were able to refer me to any business in the area where I could purchase new rims, except to look in a junkyard. Really? After two and a bit hours my tires had been changed out and I left, foolishly without checking my receipt first. Upon arriving home I glanced at the paperwork to find that not only had I been charged for a tire rotation that I had asked for, I was also charged for a state inspection that I NEVER asked for. Granted, my inspection was due to expire that month, but I had already scheduled a multi-point inspection and full workup at my dealership later in the week. Upon calling Harmon's back and explaining the situation, I was told I would have to drive the 20 or so miles back that same day to resolve the situation.I am very fortunate that I am in a situation where an additional 15 dollar charge doesn't affect me, but I live in an area where it could very easily affect someone who doesn't have that 15 dollars to spare. Simply put, I will be finding a new tire shop to patron.

More than tires! They handle all automotive repairs except body work (I believe.) Honest people, excellent service, dependable products. All-around value. Been going here for decades for inspections, oil changes, tune-ups, parts replacements, alignment, suspension, tires and more. Last week I went in for repair to struts and the mechanic advised me it wasn't worth it to put the money into my Prius with 200,000+ miles. Too much rust underneath *not visible on the body. He even called me to the bay to look at my car up on the lift. See what I mean? Trustworthy.

I have taken my vehicles here for the past 5 years and was very happy with the service until about a year ago. I had to take my vehicle back after a repair job on one occasion...it needed to be towed back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one off and the next time I needed repairs I wound up having to take it back 3 times! They never charged me more which I think speaks well of them, but it is a hassle to have to keep going back when they say it's fixed and it's not. This last time I went in for an oil change and they tried to charge me $75 to change a parking light bulb. They said it was mostly labor charges as it would take 45 minutes to take the bumper off to change the bulb. I declined and did it myself. The bumper doesn't need to come off, just unscrew two bolts and pop out the headlight assembly. So for $7 I got 2 bulbs and it took a total of 5 minutes for me, a person who has never done it before, to install it. I really like the staff out front, they are always nice and friendly, but it seems to me that they have an issue with their mechanics.

The most helpful, friendliest staff ever! They called me when they said they would, they had my alternator repaired in 2 days! I even had to go retrieve an item from the back of my car while they were working on it. The mechanic kindly let it down, I got my stuff, and he continued working. Sorry, I can't remember his name. The young lady up front, I believe her name is Erin, was very kind and helpful. Great staff! Great service!

Harmon's was recommended by a local friend when I wanted to get my car checked out while on vacation. They did a great job at a good price, offered some helpful advice on how to keep the car in good shape, and even threw in a free car wash with the purchase of an oil change and tune-up. I'm very pleased with how good my car looked and felt afterwards.

Sitting in the waiting room now, and I have been extremely impressed with the prompt and Professional Service. We were passing through on a family RV trip and needed two tires replaced immediately. Mr. Herman went out of his way to go across town and find the tires we needed and had us back on the road in no time, and at a reasonable price.

I was on a week road trip to Acadia from Cleveland and my lower ball joint was like, adios dude, and snapped in half while reversing out of a parking spot in Walgreen's (right across the street from Harmon's). I called around to get pricing in the area and most shops were telling me it would take a couple of days due to high volume during the summer months and all the travelers. That's when Albert came by from Harmon's to assess what would need to be fixed, and assured me he would have guys come in early tomorrow morning (I came to find he was the owner) to get it fixed first thing.Albert was extremely empathetic for my situation and was sure to ask about where I would be spending the night and gave several recommendations for camping in the area. I made a reservation, unloaded my bicycle, loaded my backpacking bag with tent and supplies for the night, and was ready to ride to a local campground. Albert insisted he drive me to the campsite. When his secretary called in the morning, she said he would be by my campsite when I was ready and surely, 15 minutes later Albert came pulling up.I know that doesn't speak to the quality of the automotive work but Albert is one hell of a guy. I will say I was very happy with the pricing and that the sales staff was not aggressively pushy with their suggestion in replacing the upper ball joints as they do have some play in them. They are AAA certified and Albert's father was the original owner. While spending time in downtown Lamoine that evening a lot of the locals even said that shop has a good reputation for being legitimate and honest. Thanks again Albert and employees, your kindness was very much appreciated.

While visiting Bar Harbor my car broke down on a Saturday and was towed to their shop. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it the next business day. They were very friendly and took time to answer my questions. I was very happy with the work they did and the price I paid. Highly recommend.
