Breathtaking view once you reach the cliffs. This is a rather rocky hike in places so ensure you have good stable shoes. One of the most beautiful places we have hiked into.Parking: On right heading in about 500 feet before trail headFees: Free

One of my favorite places in the world. Not an easy trail, but worth the visit at low tide

Great hike. Incredible views of the northern coast of Maine. There were no other hikers. Very quiet with only sound of waves and an occasional lobster boat heading in to Cutler. There was one small stretch of difficulty, an almost straight up bit of trail covered with tree roots. I had to crawl and pull myself up because I was recovering from a fractured ankle. The rest of the hike made it worthwhile.

Photo is of one of the better views looking out as the sun sets toward Machias. Easy 3ish mile trail that's good for families. I try to go when I'm visiting home and recommend it to friends, too.
