Disappointing. The trail has a lot of rocks and tree roots, so you have to keep your eye on it, which means you can't enjoy much of the view while you're walking. And there's not much of a view most of the way--just peeks of water here and there. Much of the trail is narrow and sometimes poison ivy is growing right along it--another reason to keep your eye on the ground. The Coast Guard Trail in Quoddy Head State Park is much more pleasant.

What an awesome short hike. And the variety of terrain: gravel trail, thick wooded area with roots through the trail and some rocks, rock stairs and a pebble beach! Now, we really wanted to get this hike in and started it at 8:10 pm! :) 45 minutes later we completed the 1.5 mile in-and-out. Would definitely do this again.

Have a picnic and don't forget to see the mine! Also go at low tide.

This was awesome. We could spend hours here exploring the rocks, beach, and trails....

Great little hike. Trail head is next to the volunteer fire department.
