I have been to VIP Calais several times and their work has always impressed me, I am sorry that I do not remember the names of the other gentlemen, but this time I saw "Dan", it was regarding a battery issue in my Nissan 370 Z, and Dan was very courteous and professional, this time I went there twice, first time for a query then I took my car to get the battery issue resolved. His staff did a very good job in fixing the problem. This also means that I do not have to go to Bangor (120 miles away) to the Nissan Dealership. From now on VIP will be the place where I will take all of my 4 vehicles for any service.

BZ to Austin!!!!!! I stopped by unannounced to make an appointment for an oil change for a 6.7 Diesel Ford. Dan fit me in that day and the service was outstanding. The technician "Austin" that did the service call went on and inspected the vehicle and found my air filter very dirty. They approached me and said do I want a replacement and I said absolutely. Very happy that Austin identified a problem and brought the attention to his supervisor. Thank you and the VIP staff for some professionalism and outstanding customer service!

Great service! Staff was friendly and got me in for an oil change quickly. I just dropped in unannounced as I was in the area and thought I would see if I could have my vechicle serviced. No problem. I was in and out within a short time. The other surprising plus was the veterans discount) I will go back to VIP for sure!

Just crossed the border from Canada for a week long ski trip with my wife. Heard a very loud knocking and banging going on under the hood while talking to the agent. Idler arm on my Chev Colorado was destroyed. Googled a garage and found VIP 2 miles down the road. Sunday afternoon they were open, they had the part and were able to install it. Forty-five minutes later, we were back on the road. Unbelievable service and luck. Thank you so much Shawn and Zachary.

Received above exceptional service today, all mechanics and receptionist staff were very polite, explained and showed me what needed replacing. Dan the manager was especially accommodating in helping me drive home in a safe vehicle. Would highly recommend this repair shop. Thanks guys

I have dealt with vip in Calais Maine for some time now,And the service manager Dan always helps me outwith any questions i have or any problems that may concern me,he explains every thing so i fully understand what hes talking about. I will only take my vehicle there cause i trust Dan fully.

VIP Calais has exceptional customer service! Dan was very knowledgeable and answered any and all of my questions quickly and in terms I could understand well ( no mechanical jargon that would leave me confused!) He also took into consideration my schedule with night shifts and made sure he got me a late afternoon appointment so I could get sleep in first! Made the experience feel more like a good friend or local family mechanic instead of the cold business feel you get in most chain stores. Shawn McCormack greeted me with a smile and was very courteous. He was able to fit me in immediately. He did an oil change, tire rotation, and checked the tire pressure. I've never seen anyone work so diligently and quickly to get the job done. I'm always very pleased with this facility and Shawn is a delight!

Twice, free diagnosis resulted in excellent care on brakes, and exhaust systems. Great mechanics, easy appointments, and excellent work. My wife had issues, and they gave her great advice, she won't go anywhere else and neither I. Purchased new tires. I have used them in the past. Dan the manager is friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. The mechanics are helpful and knowledgeable as well. I was explained in details the services and warranties available with purchasing the best tires for my vehicle. Left feeling taken care of and pleased with my purchase.

Dan Waycott and Shawn McCormick were so very kind and helpful. We were traveling and woke up to a flat tire. They repaired the tire and put it back on. We couldn t have been more grateful for their responsiveness and friendly service! Highly recommend.

I just wanted to relate my experience a week last Sunday. We were traveling north on the highway towing our travel trailer and stopped at the Maine Welcome Centre. We noticed that one of our tires on the trailer had blown out. Another traveler mentioned that VIP tires was just up the road so we managed to tow the trailer there. We had a spare and asked a technician for help. I didn't get his name but he came out with the jack and the tools in pouring rain and changed the tire in 5 minutes. He would not let us pay for his time. Thank you VIP tires - a great example of the kindness of strangers.

The Calais VIP store/auto center was recommended to me by a friend who has repeatedly received consistent, excellent service. I have so far used their services twice and both times was pleased. The people working at the desk and in the service area have always been pleasant, helpful, and they go the extra mile. They are prompt and have been able to fit me in for an appointment within a reasonable time frame that fits my work schedule. Above all, they are honest. I came to Calais Maine a little over 3 years and was recommended by a co-worker to use VIP , I have since bought snow tires for both of my vehicles( which they will swap over for free when the snow is coming), first responders and military personnel get free state inspections. I also have used VIP for ball joints, brakes and rotors. VIP has always worked with me to get the work done in a timely manner and I have never had any issues with the staff, who have treated myself very well. Sister asked me to take her Jeep to the dealership, to make it ready for trip to a new job far away ASAP. Some of the best people to help you out with all your cars needs, even when you just don t know what you acutely need. Dan, Shawn, zack, and beaker and all the rest were beyond helpful even though I was there a couple hrs when I left I felt better about knowing it was safe to drive. Even with the pain it all was they were great, helpful, and professional. Also I get lifetime parts so if they break they get fixed for free. Thank you all so much keep up the great work.

Excellent experience, called the Calais VIP to make an appointment for an oil change and to check a slow leak in one of the tires on my wife's CX5, they got us in that afternoon. Staff was professional and friendly! Dan greeted my wife upon arrival and went over all the services to be performed.I'm recently handicapped and in a wheelchair, and have had to burden my wife with tasks that I once took care of. It's a relief to find a auto repair shop that she feels comfortable and welcomed visiting.Dan and staff, thanks for your great customer service and taking care of our auto needs. I called VIP in Calais Maine this morning hoping they had a cancellation so I could get an oil change today. They said if I dropped the car off in the morning, they would try to work me in. I dropped off my car and by noon they called and said it was ready to pick up. I believe they went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate me.Service: Oil change

Prior to moving to the area, I had been going to the same place for car service/ maintenance for over 30 years. I value business/ customer relationships. I want a business to remember my vehicle and provide advice and recommendations for what I need, not what will increase the bottom line.I have found my new place. I have been here 5- 6 times in the past 2 years, and I have not been let down once. People are friendly, from the front service desk to the techs working my car. They have been honest of what needs to be done and whether they can do it. Today's visit, they immediately remembered my prior issue. Also, knowing I have a newer car with hard to find parts, they made sure the parts were here by the time I arrived. Previously, I actually watched them go to a local dealership a few times as they kept receiving the wrong part.Bottom line, I highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a long term place for car service. :)
