I was really hopeful the sticker station would be a good choice. The one plus was they were able to get me right in. Unfortunately, I was told o had two side markers out seems easy enough to fix, but either way that was OK except when I went to buy bulbs and self install, I noticed only one was actually burnt out. More than two years ago a deer collided into my front driver s side and cracked the bumper. It s not hanging off dangerously or causing any issues and I ve never had any issues with inspections until now. I was told to go to a body shop and get a whole new bumper or use self tapping screws but that would destroy the look. Anyway, I went elsewhere today and there were zero issues and I passed with flying colors at a place that is in my opinion very particular.I d urge folks to be cautious about going here and not just based on my experience, but local friends told me the same. Such a shame since I work right around the corner.

It's interesting to me to see multiple negative reviews about communicating. We found the sticker station/Jim autos a bit over a year ago....and have never had a bad experience with them.Mike is always pleasant, upfront and honest. This last time he initially told us it would be a week or so to get the part in and get the car back on the road... later that day we got a call they found the part somewhere else and could get it sooner. Told us it would bebready Friday by close and Thursday afternoon we got the call it was ready.He more then willing to call both my husband and I to explain what's going on. If I bring one of the cars in but something is up he takes the time to explained it or write it down. Takes pictures and or will call my husband.Prices are fair.If you got this far your probably saying well if they have used them a few times in a year how good can they be. He has done work on 2 of our cars over the year and my car is a 2012 with over 170,000 miles on it and I do homecare in Maine it takes a beating. Not an easy car to work on. Many people won't touch it anymore cause nothing goes as planned. It's been a break line issues they repaired and most recently a front end alignment thing. Then a few other small things over the year.I love I called Mike Monday at 4 and 8 am Friday I am back on the road in a smooth running car...Thank you!!!!

Don't think I've ever met anyone as abrasive! Dude needs to go-to a customer service class. Brush up on how to interact with his customers. He never said anything mean or rude but just the way he communicates. People, Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Went in for a vehicle inspection, and it did not pass. That was not the problem. There were two people / mechanics in the front office helping customers. The one that waited on me had seriously poor people skills, and fostered a feeling like he was being bothered.The other person, I believe an owner, seemed much better at customer service. They have a sign on the counter that says my garage, my rules. While I won't return I'm guessing that's ok with them.

Brought my car in for a simple sticker. The car passed inspection but they informed me I had a transmission leak. This meant as little as $100 to as much as $2k to fix depending on where it was. I brought my car to Toyota since I thankfully bought an extended warrantee. Sure enough, two leaks which are covered at 100%. This local business saved me potentially thousands of dollars. They now have my business.

Horrible service if I could give it 0 stars I would. Literally drove in, did what the instructions told me to do, sign in and wait.Employee finally came out, wouldn t even look at me and handled another customer he new by first name and wasn t signed in.Asked a simple question about how to know if my car had a wheel lock, and he dismissed me with a simple answer, and a 1 minute response.Waited five and decided I d rather do business with someone who treats me like a human being.Will never go there again.No hello, no thanks, no courtesy whatsoever.

Very busy but up front about the wait for a car inspection. There is a clipboard on the counter to put your name on the wait list. I waited 45 minutes until they took my keys and the inspection itself took 20 minutes after that. Clean warm waiting room with daytime soaps playing on the tv:)

Honest and informative staff, very responsive to questions/concerns, fair pricing. No sales pressure. As a female I have found myself in situations where I was questioning the validity of what I was being told regarding necessary repairs, that has not been the case here. Will definitely continue to use their services.

I have an older car (2005 legacy, 146k miles), so I was a little nervous bringing it here after reading some of the reviews, but I put off my inspection until the last day of the month so I didn't really have any other options. I was pleasantly surprised- Bobbi was fast and friendly, I was in and out within 10 minutes and passed. No needless upselling or anything else. I'd recommend them.

I really like the sticker stations! Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but the benefit is that they aren't looking for things knowing they are going to make money. Just going right by the book and telling you how it is. Hours are good, employees are always nice, and when something is wrong they actually show you what it is so you can understand.They do other services too if you want them done while you are there so that is convenient too. I do wish the lobby was a bit bigger during the colder months, but it is a great business I will keep bringing my vehicles there for inspections.

HORRIBLE customer service...If you want to use a sticker station I suggest using the Sanford Maine location as the service there is MUCH MUCH better. The technician was extremely rude with no "people" skills whatsoever. Treated us like trash, I would NEVER go back. We were there with a 2020 vehicle that had no trouble passing inspection so there was very little interaction but the little we did have was awful. I am a fan of supporting businesses with friendly workers so 100% would not recommend the Biddeford Maine location

Brought in the car for an inspection. They failed me because they said my rear rotor was corroded and I needed a ton of repairs. Knew they were BSing me because I just had my brakes replaced/inspected a week prior(and after elsewhere, they were fine). Disgusting.

Horrible service, and rude employees. They will make up lies in order to fail you, and even if you fix what failed that same day, they will not work with you in any way to get the sticker, and will charge you for an entire inspection over again on the very same day, in the very same hour, regardless of if you fix the problem in 10 minutes or 10 hours. They failed me for my window handle being off (as I'm installing new door speakers so it's not a big fix) I came back LITERALLY 10 minutes later, showed them the functioning window, and they still wouldn't work with me. I'm standing out front writing this review right now, I would not recommend coming here. The people are rude, and the service is poor.

Short wait at the end of my pay day. Courteous staff. Overhead attendant advising customer ahead of me. Thorough, no bs, and in terms easy to understand. I could tell the customer appreciated the time the attendant took to explain next suggested steps for her automobile.

Left wire earlier to get car inspected got to the place at 3pm and the person at the counter told me that he was done doing inspections for the day, just like that. Ours of operations were till 5pm. Will never go back to such place.

I disagree with getting my car inspected that makes a profit on fixing it. You were a separate building in biddeford and moved next door into a mechanic shop, which a mechanic from that shop look at my car, I know he works for the shop, he worked on my in-laws car for her. Anyways I went to another shop I trust and the repairs that they wanted me to get done, were not needed.Therefore I don't like it nor do I trust your name or the shop which you combined with. I took another 15 minuets at another shop and showed thwm the paper work so they knew what you all found. And saved myself $800.So please I understand your intentions, but it was not you who inspected my car, it was another person. Why don't you test them at Some point. See if they are using your name to scam people into getting business form them selves. Plus why don't you update where you are. Your picture isn't correct anymore.

If i could leave negative stars i would. Brought my car in which had never had a state inspection in maine. After waiting about 10 minutes at the desk without anyone attending it a man finally walked in. He completely ignore my wife and i. Apparently until they reach your name on the sign up sheet you are a ghost to them. I quickly said i would like to get an inspection to which he simply replied this person, a woman i assumed had already been helped as she was already seated, is ahead of you and grabbed her keys and walked out. I sat down not quite sure if i was wasting my time. He didnt even acknoledge that they would be able to do the inspection. After waiting about 20 minutes he came back and asked if i was the car with the tint. I replied it was and he inquired to whether i had a tint certificate. As this was my first inspection in maine and the car was tinted in WA state i replied no. He then went on to tell me it was $30 to just do the certificate, prior to doing the inspection at an additionall cost. He made it very clear that if it didnt pass i still owed them the money as did the other 5 signs around the small office about the inspections. I agreed. For some reason he took the time to pull the car into the bay. The machine that took all of 5 seconds to use just slid over the top of the window. He called me back so i could see it failed. I asked if it had anything to do with the dark lighting in the shop as the tint is lighter than my truck which i just had tinted in maine and got a certificate for. He replied no and quickly wrapped up. As this took all of 5 minutes i assumed maybe he would say dont worry about the charge. NOPE. I got home and looked up how much the meter he used costs. $150 dollars, and he charged me 1/5 that for 5 minutes and a fail. Then i looked around a little more and found out almost all of the tint shops in town do tint inspections for free and if it passes issue the certificate for $15 dollars. Half the price of what they charged me for no certificate and 5 minutes of there time. During this whole half hour or so there was another gentelman waiting at the counter who still had not been acknowledged at all. I really understand it was my fault for not doing my research but this place is really not worth taking you vehicle when they are doing stuff like this. There are many other reputable places to try first. I dont see them being is buisness much longer. It may already be in the works as they have moved from the nice new building in the picture to an old run down building just next to it.EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER:i did not fail to mention that it was going to cost $30. That was the main focus of my review. I agreed pass or fail i would pay. I go on to talk about how i don't think it was right. The lack of customer service at this place is appalling. I left a very accurate review of my experience, and the fact that the owner/shop attacked me saying i need more attention than the general public shows they do not care about their customers. I do not require "more attention" as the owner seems to think; I just require acknowledgement when i walk in the door! Apparently, that's too much for this business

Unfortunately this place failed my inspection but wouldn't show me what was wrong. Just this is why it failed, that will be 12.50. Bye now. It was my first time there and it will be my last.Edit for reply:I don't care if it's 12.50 or 250. You need to show the customer what is wrong. I've been screwed before and a good tech will show the CX what is wrong which only takes 2 minutes literally.

Great owner. My truck didn't pass inspection. He got the part that was broke. Fixed it and then inspected my truck. Back on the road and all legal. Also I had no appointment. Very nice people!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE. Went to get a truck inspected and they said the window tint was too dark even though what they had to check it with wasn't working. This wasn't even a dark tint at all. Ignorant people that are just looking to take your money. They scratched the windows up and truck looks terrible now, need to pay to get it fixed. Will be filling a complaint.

My car did not pass inspection and I think they are still decent place. They didnt try to sell me the work to get it to pass, so they were not trying to get more money out of the deal. And they told me that I didnt have to bring my car back there to get it to pass inspection once the work had been done. They did cut off the corner of the sticker, but I think that is a state of maine requirement.

Went in for safety inspection. Failed. Went straight to my mechanic and passed. I asked my mechanic on the items that I failed with the sticker station and he said there was no reason they failed me. Will not go to them again. Don't waste your time. Go to a professional.

Popped in, added name to list, got an idea of how long for wait, inspection done about 20 minutes after that, paid and popped out on my way. Happy to have it done.
