Bought a great BMW in cash back in September 2022, but there was an issue with the paperwork, so I didn t officially own it until June 2023 (8 months after purchase). Felt like I was given the run around but in the end Andrew gave true to his word and I ended up with a great vehicle. I ve already put on 42k miles and I ve never had any engine issues. Every European auto shop I visit agrees it s a great engine. Great purchase from Skelton s, he knows exactly how to choose which cars to sell.Minus 1 star for paperwork mess up.

I'm very pleased with my new (old) car. Last week I needed a reliable used car while I'm in Maine for a few months. After some research, I found a 2013 Subaru Outback at Skelton's using CarGurus online. Even though it was a 2 hour drive, guided by previous positive reviews of Skelton's, I decided to go check it out.I was not disappointed. Andrew showed me the car. No pressure to upsell to another more expensive car and it was exactly as advertised. He was straightforward about work he had recently done and pointed out minor details (the previous owner had dogs that had left some upholstery console scratches). It is an older car and I'm glad to know Andrew s shop works on Subarus in case I need work in the future.So...I'm very pleased and would highly recommend Skelton's.Services: Exhaust, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection

Andrew and his crew never fail to disappoint! I brought my car in for some maintenance, and as always, I was in and out in no time with a fixed car at a reasonable price. I actually decided to buy another car from them due to their level of professionalism and no BS sales approach. I definitely recommend Skelton's for all your sales and maintenance needs! Andrew has always been courteous and completely transparent with any work I've had done there. He clearly cares and I have never had any issues he couldn't resolve. I feel he's gone above and beyond for me. I work at another shop but still take my Audi to Andrew because his prices and quality of work the shop I work at can't touch... No I'm not mentioning where I work...

Nearly 2 months after we purchased a car, I am just as happy. Andrews communication has been perfect. We purchased a car at a reasonable price and feel we got a great product, particularly because he had to make sure any maintenance needs were met prior to sale. He scheduled service once necessary parts came in, repaired it that day and had it back to us quickly. I initially wanted to leave a positive review immediately after buying but wanted to confirm the car was in as good a shape as it seemed. An excellent experience for both sales and service. Highly recommend.

Bought a clean Kia and next morning it would not start. He was quick to take ownership for issue, issue resolved rapidly. It is not common these days for a business owner to take unconditional responsibility and be accountable. In this age of chips, sensors, and technology, incidents will happen. What is important is taking responsibility for the issue.I am impressed and encourage all to consider small business owners prior to purchase.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Prior to bringing my car to Skelton's, my check coolant level light kept coming on. I was putting coolant in every other day. Due to a broken coolant level float I was unsure of the amount of coolant in the system. In order to get home from out of town, I had to use a radiator stop leak product. I explained all of this to Andrew when making my appointment for repairs. Much to my surprise, Andrew told me there was no problem with the coolant system after a pressure test was performed. However, there were $1200 in suspension related repairs required to procure a state inspection and register my vehicle. I picked up my car and Andrew reassured me that my vehicle was good to go. Three days later, the radiator cracked and all of the coolant dripped out. When I contacted Andrew, I was informed that he was unable to recreate the original problem with my coolant system. He was only willing to schedule an appointment at the hourly rate to provide an estimate. In my opinion, due diligence was not performed to diagnose the original coolant issue. Additional tests should have been performed to identify and repair the coolant problem. Nor should I have been told my car was road ready and would be a good vehicle until I complete school in 18 months. End result is $1700 estimate from another shop for a complete coolant repair and possible head gasket replacement needed at additional cost above the quoted estimate.

Andrew and his crew always fixed up my Neon quickly, at a good price, and most importantly, thoroughly. When it came time to snag another vehicle, he was really helpful. Ended up snagging a 1.8T Jetta in great shape, and at a good price!

Andrew and his team provide excellent service! I have taken my BMW to lots of places for repair and maintenance, but only at Skelton's do I feel I have been treated fairly and honestly, and my car professionally serviced.

Our Land Rover broke down while we were up from Boston. Five min. before they closed Skelton's arranged a plan for us to leave it with them, then worked us in, sorted it out, and ordered an alternator despite having a busy week. After the part arrived late Friday afternoon, Andrew came in on Saturday extra time to finish the work so we could get the car when we returned over the weekend. I still haven't seen anyone there face-to-face, but can attest that they are great!

Bought a 2009 Jetta sportwagen for 6k last year. Seemed like an okay price because the car has leatherette interior and moon roof. Disappointing though that the car was sold to me with two different types of tires on it(worn summer tires), vacuum pump leak, and a leaking moonroof. Had to spend 4k repairing car within the months after that, granted its an auction car so I bit myself in the ankle there. The people here are nice, this is not a bad business, but more care and thought could be put into inspecting the cars. I wouldn t come here again though, it s frustrating being told the car wont need any repairs for the next year when that is far from the case.

I cannot say enough about Andrew and his team. I don't know how many lives my beloved old Celia has, but he's it back from the brink of death - and beyond - twice! Andrew is intuitive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful - and he has solved an incredibly tricky diagnosis on more than one occasion. He's also exceedingly accommodating, polite, and reasonable, and prompt! His crew removed a mouse infestation (horribly gross!) without batting an eyelash, in less than 3 hours. I'm so happy to have found him, and will not let anyone else anywhere near my cars.

I didn't do much on the website this time but I have had my vehicle serviced there in the past. Talking 15 or so years ago. Back then service was great,but all I had done was work on an old jeep.i believe they always sold cars also but now they're newer nicer cars.

I bought a truck from Skelton s that they had previously serviced, then taken in on trade. Months later, the truck is running beautifully and I have no regrets about the sale. Andrew treated me like a friend and I wouldn t hesitate to buy another vehicle from SFA.

Bought an 03 Jetta Wagon off their back lot. The transmission went within a month, and it wasn't warrantied. They put a used transmission in it for $1000. It leaked from the day they put it in. I went back to have it checked a few weeks ago, they replaced a cracked washer to fix the leak. I was told the car was fine to drive. The entire transmission blew just shy of 3 months of their installing it. I was told it wasn't warrantied, as the transmission was used. I will no longer do business with them.

Highly recommend Andrew Skelton and his team. He is thorough, trustworthy and dependable. I ve been taking my vehicles to him for 4 years now and I wouldn t go any place else. If you re looking for a local, down to earth mechanic Skelton s is your place.

Every time I've brought any of my vehicles to their place of business. They always take the time to look for any other problems that need attention. They are professional and courteous and reasonably priced. I won't take my vehicles anyplace else

Mixed feelings about the place went and looked at a couple cars a bit over priced for the years and mileage not willing to negotiate with any terms also didnt seem to forthcoming with info about the vehicles
