I had been going to a previous location for a few years and after having an emergency one day and needing immediate help and advice, I stopped in to this location as it was the nearest place to me. After having less than stellar experience with other VIP locations previously, I was very wary of the situation I could be walking into.That day I met the manager Mike, he took excellent care of me and listened to my concerns and got me in the very next day. His team of technicians are, in my opinion a cut above what I have found anywhere else. Each one of them take the time to listen to your concerns about your vehicle and give you the steps to take to diagnose the issue and create a plan to fix it. It is very apparent that they are a very knowledgeable team of professionals who work well together.The new upgrades to the waiting area and front desk are a HUGE bonus as well! Being from out of state finding a trusted automotive home has been a task, this VIP location has far exceeded my expectations and I will not go anywhere else.Thank you Mike for such an amazing location and restoring my faith in VIP!

After my long term service provider in Brewer was unable to fit me in for a significant vibration I was forced to look elsewhere for service. I contacted the service team at the Stillwater location. Mike was able to schedule me in within 24 hours meeting my work window of availability. I am extremely impressed with the service provided, John the Master technician not only replaced the worn universal joint but provided me a valuable insight to my truck s current condition by performing the multi-point inspection. We are keeping our vehicles longer these days, I learned more about what I need to focus on with John in 20 minutes than any other service evaluation. Bottom line . Great Team! Great Service! VIP Stillwater has earned a repeat customer.

I can t say how grateful I was for this garage.I was travelling to Bangor from New Brunswick when my alternator belt broke 15 minutes out of Bangor, at 4:30pm on a Friday. After many failed calls to multiple garages, Mike at VIP took my call and said he could see my car the next morning. Professional, fast and reliable is the least I can say to describe the service I received. He originally was supposed to look at it at 9:30 that morning. Mike called me as soon as the shop opened to give me an update on the plan for my car. I was blown away to get my vehicle back at 10:30 so we could enjoy a bit more time in Bangor. I must add, this is all on a Saturday morning!Online updates on my vehicle were great and showed transparency in their service. He ensured my car was safe to drive home and that I wouldn t run into issues getting home. The amazing service relieved the stress I was feeling from being without my car, out of my country and having to trust a shop I have never heard of before.I cannot thank them enough for making a really stressful situation so much better. If I could ratemore than 5 stars, I would.From 3 Canadian girls, we want to say thank you for saving our little getaway with awesome, quick service and allowing us to return home!

The staff is very professional and treat me like I matter. They are so helpful when providing information which allows me to make an informed decision about my vehicle. I believe the manager, Mike goes above and beyond for his customers.I would give 5 stars but there is always room for improvement. My only suggestion would be to have a certified tech available every day of the week so customers don't have to come back several times for one issue.Overall I am very satisfied. I ve always had good experiences here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Last week, when I broke down they were able to get my car fixed by the end of the following day! I go here for everything to do with my car.

I had new tires installed at a local garage. The rear tires were out of balance. I took it back and they agreed that the tires were not right and they rebalanced them. The tires were once again out of balance but now at different speeds.I stopped into a local tire shop in my area but they couldn't get me in untilJanuary 2nd. (this was early November).So I went down the street to VIP. They made an appointment for the next day! During the appointment they check the front end alignment and was told this was a free service!! The tires are now blanaced perfectly and I will be going back there for future service. Thank you to the great tem at Bangor VIP!!Service: Tires

Called about putting Michelin cross climate 2 tires on my vehicle. Was told by an employee that he didn't have them in stock but would source them from across town at another VIP tire. The next day I drove TWO HOURS to get these tires put in my car - only for the idiots to tell me they couldn't source the tires and put another tire in their system for me without my knowledge and no notification. What scammers. Would highly recommend you go anywhere else for your vehicle.

John..The master technician their is the best. Matt who I met when I called and walked in the door was also so nice and respectful. Both were so knowledgeable. Don't want to let the word out cause I can't wait 2 weeks to get my truck fixed but they are the best. And most times within a day. Thank you gentlemen

We had our tires changed from Winter to Summer tires, Mike and the team were very prompt on the time and kept us informed on the progress. When we returned to pay and pick the vehicle up they had noticed one or two things that would need attention prior to the State inspection needed a couple months from now. I felt the price was fair, communication was top notch and service was great. We will return again when needed.Service: Tires

I had an appointment and they made me wait two hours in the waiting room before they even got to my car which was just a diagnostic appointment, and then it took them an hour to identify nothing and charged me $250 to identify nothing.

I thought i needed brakes and rotors on my 2020 savana van. The bangor manager quoted me $ 1,110. Over the phone. I dropped it off the next morning, he called me and said my brakes were at 90%. They just sneaked, instead i needed a alignment and inspection sticker. It was around $ 130. I think they are pretty honest.

Our daughters tires needed to be swapped over to the winter tires. before this appointment there was an issue with a rubbing sound by the tires. We asked them to check when we dropped the Jeep off. They were so helpful and took the time to look and take care of her vehicle. The staff Ron and Mike were so helpful and great customer service. Happy to share my great experience with fellow shoppers! I walked in without an appointment 1/31/23 and was helped quickly and professionally. I used the waiting room to do some work and <45 minutes was out the door with oil change and tire rotation! I stayed a few minutes longer in the waiting room to complete some work tasks on my laptop. #I'llbeback for next service!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had a leak in my tire and they were able to fix it up with no problem at all. I didn't realize I needed a patch and the men there were able to let me know and give me a patch free of charge. I'm super thankful for them and they were really understanding because I came from about 10 hours away. Great customer service, and they get the job done amazingly!Service: Auto maintenance

Mike and his service team are not only great at what they do, they are also wonderful human beings. Yes, you may pay a little more than some other places, but when it comes to value, customer service, and doing high quality work, it s worth it. How many times have we had to deal with a service team who is either ambivalent to your individual needs, or somewhat condescending when you ask them to explain a cost? It happens often. Not here. Every time I ve worked with Mike and his team at the Stillwater location, I have received high quality work, and a thorough explanation as to the why something must be done, and how that investment translates into longer life with my vehicle, improved safety, and other factors that to me are the highest value.Give them a try, you ll be greeted warmly and treated with the utmost respect. VIP on Stillwater in Bangor receives my highest recommendation. Mike the Service Manager was wonderful! He took the time to explain in detail, gave me options and delivered in record time. The auto crew are diligent, honest and hard working. I trust these guys. They are an intelligent group. Can t say that for the dealership that I bought my vehicle from VIP on Stillwater in Bangor superseded my expectations. I wouldn t think of going anywhere else for my auto care. The staff here are professional, courteous and friendly. They never make me feel like I'm asking too many questions or treat me like, as a woman, I won't understand. Manager Mike just lets me know what the mechanics have found, answers my questions and lets me make (and respects) my own decisions. It is also fun to watch them all interact, both with the customers and with each other. They all seem to enjoy what they do, and I feel better knowing that they actually seem to care about what they do and how well they do it. I had brought my car in as I had been hearing noise come from the rear. Mike, at the front counter was very helpful in diagnosing what was wrong and what they could do. He answered all my questions, let me know the total price ahead of time, and took the time to give me detailed examples about what the parts were & its importing function in my car. Great customer service. I will definitely continue going to this location. I've been happy with my experience.

Went in for an annual inspection and they tried to sell me 1k+ worth of tires.Told me I barely passed on tires that still have 30K miles left on them per the last certified Toyota dealership 25k miles service and oil change visit.Pretty sure nothing dramatic or drastic occurred in 5K miles.Unless you call sightseeing through Maine's coastal region drastic.

The Bangor Stillwater Ave location was friendly, reassuring, positive, quick and I've never been so comfortable in an auto repair shop. The woman who inspected my car explained everything to me and made me feel like she actually cared. I will definitely go back for an oil change and an inspection this year. Thank u for hiring more women. In my experiences dealing with auto repair shops most men in that field are jerks and try to scam people who don't know much about cars.
