When I pulled onto the lot I was greeted by salesman Matt Beil he was absolutely great to work with and had a very good knowledge of the vehicles on the lot.Matt also worked with me to find the perfect truck for my needs and worked to get me the best deal for my trade and worked to get me the payment I wanted to stay with! All the staff at Varney was helpful highly recommended for anyone in the market to stop by and see Matt!

I'm so very impressed with the service department. Every person that was in the waiting room was pleased. They handled my repair with professionalism and my truck is running great now! I am pleased to know there is a great place to take my truck for repairs.

April of 2020 purchased a new 2020 Chevy Trailboss. October of 2022 noticed the ceiling of the truck was wet. Discovered it was a seal that s a bulletined item. Should be a recall. Paid to have the seal replaced December 2022 and it s fixed the issue. Love the truck and how it handles however shame on Chevy for many reasons! From faulty seals, paint not staying on runners, to a number of unforeseen issues. Design is nice looking, take extra care in the winter because this truck holds a lot of sand and salt if you don t spray every crevasse. Takes me a good half hour lunch break to spray the dirt off this truck. I can t imagine how these trucks last in winters by cleaning in a drive through. I d bet they don t.

Tiffin made our experience one of a kind. I was dreading the thought of having to shop for a vehicle. He listened, actually really listened, to what I wanted in a vehicle, what our budget was and helped us find our perfect vehicle. The vehicle we ended up purchasing wasn't on our radar when we went in, but it is absolutely perfect. He made the experience painless and Woody was helpful in the financing dept. In the past we have refused to allow dealers to run our credit, Woody put us at ease and understood our frustration of past dealership experiences and stayed true to his word.When it comes time to purchase another vehicle Varney will definitely be our first stop and more than likely our last stop.

I am always so hesitant to purchase a vehicle so when my husband and I showed up on Saturday to test drive my nerves were high. Kevin Baker listened to what I needed, put up with my indecisiveness (have to test drive them all!) and did a fabulous job making it comfortable and easy. Woody in the business office is amazing and worked so hard to keep me happy and feeling confident. I am absolutely in love with my new Buick it is luxurious and sleek!! Highly recommend both of these guys if you're looking for down to earth and no bait & switch tactics!!

Start to finish quick and easy process. Patrick listened to what I wanted and directed me to what turned out to be the perfect car, within 30 minutes my wife and I knew we wanted that car and wanted asap. We wired the money and while we had to wait over 24 hours for it to clear to get our check the team at Varneys made sure our vehicle would be ready for us. Made the process easy to put my wife on the title by letting me take the paperwork home to sign so she wouldn t have to leave work. Accommodating and friendly!

Chase showed me a lot of trucks that were on the lot both new and used, some several times and did pressure me to make a hasty choice. Brian got to work and found me the financing available, so the whole process was very smooth and efficient.

This place is the best dealership I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. Brian in finance went out of his way to ensure that I got my loan, then they delivered my new car to me in Waterville where I work. When they're was a small issue with the car after they'd delivered it Brian went out of his way to make sure that I wouldn't have to be inconvenienced by having to drive all the way back up to Bangor to get it dealt with, he met me in Newport with a loaner. They've shown truly outstanding service and gone above and beyond for my business. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

My sales representative (Matt Beil) has done the best job I have ever been personally associated with purchasing new vehicles. Matt ensured my vehicle purchase was done professionally and courteous beyond, what I have ever experience. The vehicle purchasing process was conducted to make sure I was comfortable with my surroundings, everything about the vehicle and pricing. If I was ever to have an all-star team of (sales reps) Matt would be my first pick. He was thorough and didn't hold back on what he could do or the dealership as a whole. I am excited to have the vehicle I need and the dealership that sold it to me. From the sales department and finance department, thank you for your dedication to your employment at Varney Buick GMC. I am sad, disheartened, and frustrated I feel obligated to write a public review about a local company, but here is my frustration.I purchased a vehicle in 2019 (2016 GMC Sierra 1500, 20K miles). I was aware I was purchasing used with a limited warranty and there would likely be unexpected maintenance costs I could run into (no big deal, my gamble!).My frustration is with my inability to trade-in ANYWHERE at fair market value because I was sold a vehicle that was in a "Severe Accident" (AutoCheck language) that was NEVER disclosed to me even after asking these very specific and important questions during the vehicle buying process.I learned that the vehicle had a severe accident history after I lost the transmission in Rochester, NY with 90K miles and requested a trade-in price. Bob Johnson Buick GMC in Rochester, NY checked the VIN and politely declined the trade even with a new paid in full transmission because of the vehicle's history report.I then proceeded to check local Bangor dealerships to see if that was a common practice. Sure enough, I found out again and again that this vehicle I still owe $21,000 on does not hold a fair market value EVEN with a brand new transmission BECAUSE of the severe accident that is reported on AutoCheck PRIOR to my ownership.The "Severe Accident (w/ frame damage)" shows up on AutoCheck in September/October 2019 but does NOT show up on the Carfax report Varney provided. Convenient.Take Away --I've learned during this process of trying to trade this vehicle in that trusted major dealerships use AutoCheck instead of CarFax because AutoCheck has its own set of exclusive data that may uncover further information about a vehicle you're considering purchasing.If you're looking at purchasing a vehicle from Varney, I would suggest requesting the AutoCheck or going across the street.

We were greeted by a really nice sales rep named Matt Beil who was able to help us find our beautiful 2021 GMC Sierra. He was able to answer all of our questions, was exceptionally patient and made us feel comfortable as we decided on purchasing our truck.I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to make a vehicle purchase and if you can, look for Matt.Thank you everyone @ Varney!!!Service center++

We bought a used car from Varney's Bangor location July 3, 2017 and had serious issues with it in less then a day. We tried getting them to take it back next business day before any of the papper work had even been sent out( to Augusta) we were told they don't do returns and there is no lemon law on used cars. It has been a year as of July 3, 2018 they have had the car more then my mother and they still can't get it to run correctly. The check engine light will not stay off. They have replaced the transmission clutch pack, motor, complete exhaust including catalytic converter and manifold. She even took it to them for a sticker when it expired and they refused to sticker it over the issue they can't seem to fix and told her flat out it should not have had the sticker it was sold with but it wasn't there issue because there Newport location put the sticker on. So she took it to the Newport location where(where she is required to take it every time it has an issue because the won't service it in Bangor where she purchased it because it is a Ford not a General Motors product) they put a sticker on( they felt bad because she is low income, elderly and will be paying on the car four more years).

We arrived at Varneys simply to look. We were not sure what we wanted but decided looking in person would help us decide. Norman, the sales rep, met us at the truck we were looking at. Was so kind and knowledgeable about the truck. After taking it for a test drive, Norman gave us all the information we would need to make a decision. We took those numbers & left to go look at other trucks at other dealerships to compare. An hour after leaving we received a phone call from Norman thanking us for coming in to look. We went to other dealerships & the prices did not compare. 2 hours or so later we were back to make a purchase. The trade value I received was fantastic & the price for doc fees was phenomenal. We looked at other dealerships & no one came close.I will say if I would have worked with any other sales rep than Norman I am not sure I would have made the purchase of the truck. He led us around the entire dealership showing us all around so we knew exactly were to go if I needed anything fixed. I could not be any happier with the purchase or service we received.

Is was very hard to get an appointment with in a reasonable time. It would be a month or better, and when the day would finally come the car would stop acting up. So getting in when the problem happens is important. It had been going on for a year, when the issue would occur id make that appointment and by the time it would arrive the car would stop showing the problem. It was very frustrating, but finally Mike made arrangements for me to come the next during the engine problem and took care of me, now our car is back to running tip top.

Tiffin was helpful, courteous, professional and patient. We had a car to sell/trade. He was honest and upfront about trade vs private sale. Advised me on what he thought we could get on our own(he was dead on). He called to check in periodically. When our car sold, we knew we wanted to buy from him because of how he worked the sale. This was my son s first car purchase. Tiffin and the finance manager explained everything step by step and got him into a great truck. I was impressed with the low pressure sale accompanied with the highest level of customer care. There was a minor issue with truck on day 1, 2. Service got us in fast, gave him a loaner and resolved the issue expediently.

I recently noticed that my sticker was expired by a bit so I called the service Dept at GMC they were booking out 2-3wks into June. They transferred me over to the service Dept in Mazda. They were able to get me in in under 5 days. Wonderful Service Thank You

I called in to service because I was going to miss my appointment unfortunately. They worked in my truck for the inspection, had the shuttle bring me home and back up there. The bill was sooo cheap and the guys were Amazing!! I only go here and will continue to only come to Varney Buick of Bangor!!
