Quick & friendly service, reasonable prices and I feel like Toby is a real straight shooter. He tells you what needs to be done, gives plenty of options and tries to save you money whenever possible. Glad to have found him, I trust him with our cars and recommend him highly.

Had a change oil, TPM sensor changed and undercoating for my chevy traverse. I am very satisfied with their service, plus the fact that it is just a block away from home makes it even more wonderful.

I 100/10 recommend Swett s on State Street. Toby is an honest, knowledgeable, kind, competent and caring mechanic. I trust his competency and never feel taken advantage of. I will never go anywhere else. Toby has truly secured a lifetime customer.

After bringing my vehicle to not one, but TWO different, reputable repair shops and being told by both that the job couldn't be done by them, I called Swett's and spoke with Eric. He told me that they could do the job, quoted me a price and within 48 hours the job was done! Excellent work, honest price and great customer service. I couldn't be happier and needless to say, I have found my new mechanic.

If you need anything car related done GO HERE! These guys are absolutely amazing! I was once a VIP customer and I had brought my car to get checked with one of the employees here and it turned out VIP had put my tires on backwards. Ever since that day I ve been a pleased happy returning customer to Swetts Auto. The employees here literally work with you to find you the best, safest parts for your car that aren t overpriced. The labor charge is completely reasonable for the work they do, and on top of everything they will let you know what they see could be potential fixes for your car in the near future (and are honest about it I had Eric show me the under carriage of my car just to explain what a tire rod was to me). They are good about getting quotes and sticking to the prices they charge. I m just so absolutely pleased and amazed with the prices, the friendliness of the staff, and just the overall work ethic of this auto garage. If I could rate this place 20/10 I would it deserves it. This is the only auto shop I could find in the Bangor region that cared enough about my safety behind the wheel. You will not be disappointed here I promise. Thank you to everyone at Swetts you guys are my car hero s so thank you!!!

The folks at Swetts are absolutely awesome. Very fair, and always willing to help! I got my inspection done here, and it was a hefty job. It took three days total, and one night I had to leave my car there despite needing one for work. Swetts offered me a loaner car and did their very best to move the work along so I could have my car the next day!

I would give Swett's 10 stars if I could. EXCELLENT customer service, the workers look to help you in anyway possible to get things done quickly and affordably. Prices are unbeatable and overall experience is incredible. I will never go anywhere else again.

My car lost acceleration Friday and when I called Eric was able to get me in on Monday! When I let him know I had an extended warranty he was more than happy to make contact with them. He also checked out a rattling noise. When I got my car back the warranty had covered everything! They went the extra mile! Very happy to have a good mechanic again!

My daughter's car had significant noise coming from the front end. She is using the car while at UMaine and we are from out of state, so I didn't know where to take the car that would be reliable. Contacted Swett's based on reviews.. Eric got the car in quickly. Turned out to be a minor fix. Very happy with Swett's - very trustworthy and I highly recommend!

I have two vehicles and I both bring them to Swett's Tire and Auto in Orono. Bruce and his staff give professional service and actually explain in great detail what is going on with the vehicles. Honest people who do great work. Even thought they are busy all the time, they still make the repairs happen fast and get us back on the road!

Last minute called swetts and they got me in right away. The service representative explained things well and helped find the best prices. I really did like the customer service. I will be back.

My husband, a good friend and I were returning from a trip to Mexico. We had delays getting home and had been traveling for 2 days. When getting in our pickup in Bangor, we heard an odd sound coming from under the hood. We stopped at the Citgo station on the Hogan Road and spoke to Jim regarding the sound. He sent us to Swetts Tire and Auto. Eric and the team was outstanding!! They took our truck right in, diagnosed the issue and got us back on the road for our 3 hour drive north. Great service, friendly team and I would highly recommend Swetts Tire and Auto to anyone in need of service. Thank you guys!! So appreciate... Pam and Kevin.

Needed 4 tires mounted. They got on it immediately. In 30 minutes I had paid and the tires were in my truck.

These guys are AMAZING! They re always willing to work with you on pricing, and they will always help you out in a pinch. They do the best they can to cater to your needs and give you the most painless experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I went in today for an oil change and tire rotation, nothing else. Where to begin with this trainwreck. First off, it took 45 minutes to get it done. The pricing was horrible. They charged me over $87 for it all. They put in synthetic and that alone ran me $45 "Labor" for the tire rotation cost me another 20, and they charged me 5 for windshield fluid which i didnt ask for. Ive never once paid more than 40 dollars for an oil change and roation and i refuse to ever go to Swetts agin. Stay away and save your money. Cheap little mom n' pop shop that rips you off.

Came here to get an inspection. I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado. Wanted to see how are system is failed. Bought the truck 10 months ago from the State of Maine. All work was completed by the State and had mechanic check to verify it would pass. They came back that the front passenger strut was bad. Took it to another inspection place and they said all was good but the rear brakes were bad lol. The system is failed and we are being duped. Only way to fix the problem is to hold them accountable.

Have been working with them for 25 to 30 years. Honest and fair.Will not talk down to you. Will give you the options (both pros AND cons) and then let you decide what you want to do.Trust them with my LIFE!
