It took almost an hour to check in, even though the place didn't seem that busy. They didn't give me a room key but instead walked me to the room and opened the door for me. The lady said if I left the room I would have to come get her to open it again. I only spent a few minutes in the room, since the power and water didn't work. I went back to the front and was assured I would receive a refund, but my credit card statement shows they charged me anyway. I don't know how this place is in business. If you are in town try the motel in Joyce only a few miles away.

I was on my way home from Spokane Washington about a year ago and I had to come through Winfield and I was getting very sleepy I had been driving for 18 hours and I couldn't go any longer. I stopped in to see if they had a room open. They had great prices and they were very friendly.Rooms: The room was very nice it was clean and you could smell the cleanness of the room.Safety: My suburban doors didn't lock and I was kinda worried about that. But I got up the next day and everything was fine nothing was missing or out of place.Food & drinks: There's a restaurant in the front by the office. There is a 24-hour gas station beside the motel.

We stayed 2nites Labor Day weekend of this year 2023.At check in our reservation was not recognized.We book a down stair king.The clerk charged a upstairs double.We ended up with a down stairs double.We only book 1 room for 2 nights.We were CHARGED 4 NIGHTS...They all assured us the FUNDS would be refunded before checkout.As of today September 12,2023 STILL NO REFUND...MANGER is ALWAYS UNAVAILABLE.

Yes, the hotel itself is a little old but the room was very clean & the service was excellent. The water is brown but that is expected when surrounded by lakes in Louisiana so we didn't mind. We had 10 rooms reserved & everything was ready in a timely manner, we even got early check-ins. The restaurant was good also. The Gumbo is homemade & very yummy!

The staff and room was super nice, no it might not be a five star to a lot of people, but if you want clean country hospitality friendly and you have to be in that area then it is a good place to be it made you feel comfortable no riffraff in the parking lot and clean roof clean rooms

Rugs need to be upgraded. There is a restaurant, never ate there and the pool was green. Apparently not used. Some tenants were barbaqueing probably workers. Which is fine but created a hot spot for flies. Was too close to the rooms.

Worst motel ever. Where roaches come to die. Not worth $85 per night during the work week. This place was built in the 70s and apparently was NEVER renovated. Parking space is super limited. Everything is dirty. Nothing works. Paint pealing off the walls in every room. Sink does not drain well. I hope I don t catch a disease from this place. Pool is pond of green slime, complete with frogs. Bugs are horrible outside. They stole some corded phones from best western...? Wait.... nevermind! They have an ironing board! My bad. Best hotel ever! .... NOT.

Disgusting. We were going to stay here because it was the only thing available, but after seeing the room we went and bought a generator for 1500$ to have power in our fith wheelSafety: People drinking and getting high outside of rooms

Haven't stayed in the rooms, but the restaurant is pretty good most days. It has a pool so it was nice to watch the kids swim.

Friendly folks, arrived late.. Got an Ember burger at the restaurant, was a good burger. Hotel is a bit on the old run down feel.. Water in the pool wasn't something I would swim in.. Nice shade of green. Water in the rooms, runs brown from the tap. The rooms were clean and comfortable otherwise. However, I Was woke by housekeeping and run out of the room at 9am, when checkout is at 11am. Paid a little over 10$ for two sunny side up eggs, a pancake so big, they couldn't flip it and cook it on both sides( the side turned to the plate surface wasn't cooked, while the up side was soaked in what I hope was butter. Sausage patty was tough as well.. Wont be back.. Pitty, nice people.. I'm honestly not that hard to please.. I do end up staying at a few hotels, motels.. In a years time.. Not the worst, nor anyway near the best..

My husbands company is working in the area and they have been staying there . They have fraudulent CC activity going on and management does not want to help. Local Police Dept would not help either. This is 4 people with a lot of charges small and large at multiple times of the day being ran. Just be careful when you stay and watch your CC transactions closely . My Grand father and family was from Winnfield so i recommended him stay here and i regret it must not be same small town I remember.

Cute place right here on my hometown. The restaurant in conjunction with the hotel is called " embers " , and is delicious! The hotel staff is meticulous and they do the best they can with their hotel

A real southern charmer. We had the fried chicken livers, fried mushrooms, chili, and a meat pie. We left nothing behind. It was great

Place is almost out of business. It's sad. Running out of everything and the office 'help' is crippled with almost zero authority to solve issues. Is this another sacrifice on the altar of COVID19 hype/fear, spread by the media to destroy small businesses?

Nice clean rooms with micro fridge and flatscreens. Comfortable beds with nice pillows, overall very comfortable and friendly.

My wife and I were just there 44days The rooms are awesome the food is awesome But I don't think none that happen without the awesome people who work there
