Excellent shop I broke down on the interstate traveling across country had my truck towed here had my issue diagnosed and back on the road in the same day couldn't have asked for better service at a reasonable price great place would recommend if anybody needs a good mechanic this is the place to go

We had a car problem while driving through the area. Luckily we stumbled across Craig's Automotive. Craig diagnosed our problem and had us on the road again within 1.5hr. And didn't charge us a fortune. I can't sing their praise enough.

They took care of me, my dodge ram camshaft and rocker arm took a dump. My truck was ticking when I dropped it off and they got me all fixed up for very competitive rate! It was as quite as when I drove it off the dealers Lott. Thanks for the great service. They keep me informed through the entire repair, communicated effectively and workmanship was great as expected. 5 stars...

I was referred to Craig by my car dealership regarding an issue that would have been costly if done there. I'm so glad they did. Craig was great. He spent a good deal of time on the phone discussing what the problem may be even before I came in. He demonstrated a respectable amount of knowledge and explained the issue in a clear way that I, someone who knows very little about cars, could understand. Craig is a very DIRTY man. He caused me to loss money. He wanted to be the the person to fix my vehicle. I already had spent $1,100 with him. My brakes was scrubbing and I could have lost my life. With that being said. When I brought my car back to him, it was all good. He went out of town. When he got back he called my husband, cussing being combative. He told us to come and get our car. He knew we loss money, bye him telling us he was gonna fix our car. Craig is no good. If you know like me. and he's all about money. If you know like me find another mechanic. He's no good and Dirty I asked about a discount he said he don't operate like that. .Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Just brought my vehicle to have a look at the noisy exhaust system on my Xterra with the expectation that I may be replacing the whole system. After explaining what I had, Craig took my vehicle on the rack and inspected it. Then after a test drive and more looking, he found the problem and showed me. He explained that I had a perfectly good exhaust system that should not be replaced. He then did some tack welding and the noise was fixed. After he took it off the rack, he shook my hand and said no problem, without charging me. Wow! In 30 minutes he solved the problem over which I was agonising for months. This totally unexpected outcome was outstanding and made my week! A mechanic that actually investigates the problem is such a rarity. I would go back to his shop again in a heartbeat!Service: Exhaust

I initially used Craig s to have my alternator replaced earlier this year. They did take longer to finish than I was initially quoted, but they did a good job overall and I ve had no problems with the alternator since (it s been 5 months). I then had an issue with my AC compressor where it was not working for a few weeks, then it came on and was running... afraid I would mess it up further, I didn t want to run it until I had the issue assessed. The next day after dropping it off, they called and said they couldn t find any issues with it at all... I was very pleasantly surprised when I went to pick it up, and they didn t charge me anything!! I was expecting at least a diagnostic fee. I would definitely recommend Craig s, and I ll be using them if I have any other problems with my vehicle.Services: Engine repair, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I first went to see Craig when he was on Fremaux many years ago (2003). He did amazing work and gave me a super fair price then. I went back to him recently (2019) and he was just the same. Great work and great price. It's so hard to find an reliable mechanic, but Craig is the best. He doesn't do unneeded repairs and is honest about the work performed.Service: Exhaust

We were in a pretty dire situation and Craig got my truck in got it fixed just a few minutes. He is very professional and a very nice person. Two other shops just brushed off and told I would just have to wait. After that he wasn't going to charge me. I paid anyway. If don't use him you are passing up great guy and mechanic

Craig put a new exhaust system on my son's 1999 Silverado. He did a fantastic job and delivered exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend his shop for exhaust and all other mechanical needs. Great place to hang out and chat for a few as well.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Horrible! Craig and his wife (the receptionist) both have the nastiest attitudes. They lie so much, both of them are just completely money hungry. They charged me $85 for a diagnostic test when I came for an alignment. Did not ask me at all. They were very rude and made me feel like I wasn't anything but another dollar. The cursed me out when I told them it was ridiculous to charge me for something I didn't ask for. Oh and they never even did the alignment at that!!! I wouldn't recommend them to the person I dislike the most. Just very ugly and mast people!

I brought my truck in with an AC issue that no one seemed to be able to fix. Craig s shop found the leak and had me back up and out the door the same day at a very reasonable price.Thanks for the great service!I highly recommend!

The worst customer service I ve ever dealt with. They said that the labor was $345 and I agreed to pay it right when I was going to pay Craig came and started to curse, threatened me and kicked me out of his shop. I ve never been disrespected like this before. I wouldn t recommend this shop to anyone. Both the receptionist and Craig were treating me with no respect. I took my business else where.

My daughter put diesel in her car by mistake. I spoke with Craig first and had the car towed to his garage. He normally closes at 5pm but he stayed until 6pm to drain all the diesel fuel out. He kept the car overnight to drain the entire fuel system. He told my wife to bring a can of gas in the morning. My wife and daughter showed up at 9am and the car was fixed and ready to go. She went to put gas in the car and Craig told her no need, he put high-test in and recommended we do the same for the next few tanks. The amount of money he requested didn't even cover his labor. As my daughter drove away she realized he had put over a half tank of gas in her car. I would be embarrassed to tell you what he charged, but it barely covered the cost of the gas. You just don't find this kind of work ethic theses days. I have always done my own car maintenance because I just never found a mechanic I could trust, but I found one now. I have also never recommended a mechanic before, but I am now. Thanks Craig, you've restored my faith in professional mechanics, you are truly a professional, thanks.

Too busy to get to me for several days. Also, my past experience was to go unassisted for five minutes or so while several employees stood behind the desk looking at me in a scene that could have come from the movie Deliverance. Lucky to get out alive I guess. You never know.

This place is awesome! The most important thing, they did an amazing job! On top of that the price was extremely reasonable and they were very honest. I highly recommend!

Go Elswhere! Sad to say Craig's has taken the low road with his service. We are long time customers - few times there were problems, he stepped up to correct them. BUT, no longer. Took car in for preventative maintenance, came home with nothing but problems - call him and his words were 'we are not responsible for other issues' & he wanted us to bring it in for more work as well. We took it elsewhere: loose wires & vacuum hoses & had NOT done the alignment we paid for, the additional work he deemed necessary was not needed either.

My Daughters car broke down in Slidell, on a trip from Florida to Baton Rouge. The Service Craig had was professional, reasonably priced and very friendly. If I lived in the area I would definitely have all my car service done there. I know the reviews people usually only take the time to put in are when they are dissatisfied. so I am here to give a 5 star rating to Craigs Automotive.

Great shop, friendly staff, and fast work. Was down on vacation and had a muffler issue, Craig gave me a reasonable quote, and was able to squeeze me in his busy schedule to help me out. Highly recommend this place!

Friendly and fast. Craig replaced my engine, radiator and water pump and belt so fast. I had my vehicle in less than two weeks and that was even during Christmas and New Year's holidays!

Craig has NO customer service/resolution skills whatsoever!!! He's very unprofessional, extremely rude and very demeaning!!!! He needs to take a class on customer service etiquette. He has no employees, but I'm not surprised, now I see why. Please do not solicit this business, he's not WORTHY of your dollars!!! Find a location that will value you as a customer and knows how to resolve a problem without storming out of his office like a two year old. TOTALLY DIS-SATISIFIED CUSTOMER AND WILL NEVER REVISIT THIS BUSINESS AGAIN!!!! PLEASE BEWARE!

Brought a 1999 dodge dakota up there for some exhaust issues dude basically told me i dont have a catalytic converter so i went and picked up my truck and brought it home i get under the truck the other day and still have one the dude was trying to sell me one to replace it and told me that my truck wasnt allowed to be fixed if i didnt do so by any automotive shop at that i called and offered to bring the truck back up there to show him my cat converter he declined any buisness i was offering

Craig and his "shop" = complete garbagePiss poor customer service. 100% Dishonest! Out $200 bucks and no resolution. No refund No help EXTREMELY RUDE!Do yourself a favor and GO ANYWHERE else. 7/25/2017

Rarely does anyone comment on my hair, unless I go to Tiffanie at Bella Style. Great service and always a very stylish cut.
