My husband took my car here for a wheel alignment this morning. They said the alignment couldn t be done because I needed to replace my control arms. Said they could replace & do alignment for $1100. I told my husband no, take it to our normal mechanic in Baton Rouge. Had the control arms replaced & wheel alignment for $530 dollars! It s companies like this that make it hard to trust other reputable honest companies. Trying to price gauge on hard working people is not the way to do business! Shame on you!

On the road and my alternator went out without warning. Simpson's Auto got me up and running and back on the road home. A fair and honest place. I can't thank them enough for helping me out. I would recommend.

We were passing through the area and had major car trouble. When we pulled up here, our van could not safely leave to go anywhere else. The brakes had completely gone out. They knew we were far from home and stranded at their shop. They were very accommodating and fair. They didn't take advantage of the situation. They went out of the way to take care of us. We tried to get an Uber to take us to our hotel. The drivers kept cancelling. After the fourth driver cancelled, the mechanic offered to take us to our hotel. The entire staff was wonderful to us. The next morning the mechanics came in two hours early so they could get the repairs finished in time for us to check out of our hotel. They didn't want us to have to pay for a second night at the hotel. The mechanic even called when he was finished and said he was on his way to come pick us up at the hotel. Breaking down is very stressful. We were hours from home. They got us fixed up and back on the road. I'm so grateful for the way they treated us. I can't recommend them enough. Honest and friendly people that know what they are going and go the extra mile to take care of their customers.

They lied saying they checked the fluids in my vehicle. Never checked I was low on all fluids. Being honest up front when a customer ask an employee a question. Is very important, all the customer want is an honest answer. A lie is never good, speaks alot about the person. This has happened more than once at this location.

First of all I NEVER write review. But this morning I will take an exception. My wife went here one morning and was there For 7:34 a.m.. They open at 7:30. She then waited for 20 minutes without even being recognized as a customer! The workers were busy talking and dabbing each other up. With the exception of one who was working on a tire change. Kudos to him! My wife was just trying to get an oil change and an inspection sticker. Guess what?! Due to their rudeness, lack of customer service and professionalism they just lost an opportunity to serve someone in their community!

My vehicle has been in 4 different shops (dealership included) in the last 3 mnths, and none could figure out my issue. These guys had it for 1 day and was to figure out the problem, and have it ready to go within a few days!

I was leaving Plaquemine headed back to Houston and smelled antifreeze. I called and Greg answered, I told him what was happening and he told me to bring my truck in after lunch. At 1, his guys looked at it and had it fixed in a few minutes. Their service was above and beyond what I expected. If I'm in the area again and need a vehicle serviced, I'll definitely be stopping here.

I brought my vehicle in yesterday for major work. Initially quoted $900 worth of work at one place. Brought it to Simpson s for 2nd opinion. Found out it was only $100 worth of work required. I received excellent service while there. Honest and professional work and service. Would definitely recommend their service. This will be my one stop shop from now on!!!!!

Customer service is HORRIBLE. Never speak or acknowledge customers you literally have to get in their face for them to even service you. Mechanics smoke around vehicles which I'm sure is a huge no no. Each time I've gone for an inspection sticker there's a wait since one person only does them. The only pleasant thing about this place is the check out process. Refuse to keep spending my money at a location who doesn't appreciate it's customers.

honestly one of the worst places that I have ever been to! I had a leveling kit installed on my truck and took it there to have an alignment done to it. Got it back and the steering wheel was still not fix, was still off center and it would still pull just a little to the right and has gotten worse. Called and ask to make sure an alignment was done to it and they said yes. I told them what is was doing and they're response was, you can bring it back but it will be the full cost to have an alignment done again. And now I took it to Jims Alignment in Baton Rouge. To find out nothing was done to it at all, my driver side front tire was completely eaten up on the inside. So had to but two new front tires plus have an alignment done.So ended up paying them 100 dollars for nothing really and had to buy new tires cause they didn't do they're job that they were paid to do.Plus the service is terrible!!

Got there ask for Greg who was very nice then call Quinn over to help me with a part I needed put on my car and man can you say he was so nice and awesome will be back if something go wrong with my car

Simpson's, I am truly sorry about the typo on the rating. It should have been 5 stars. I have been a repeat customer for 10 years because of the excellent service and personal staff. SIMPSON'S is truly the best around. No one could ask for better.

This place is a joke. Hopefully, you're reading this BEFORE you go to visit these people (unlike I did). I recently bought a motorcycle, and to get my endorsement on my license I had to have the bike inspected. I went to Simpsons and they inspected it (brand new, keep that in mind) and rejected it. I knew they would because in LA you have to have the endorsement before they pass inspection, but you can't get the endorsement without the inspection rejection. So I paid my $20 and got my rejection, and was told to come back after I obtained the endorsement and I wouldn't have to pay for the actual inspection sticker. Fast forward to today, 2/28/2018: I have my endorsement and went on my lunch break to get the actual inspection (that I already paid for. Remember?). I show up at 11:50 and the gentleman doing the inspections tells me I'll have to wait 'til 1 because they close at noon. I ask him to help me out because it won't take 5 minutes to inspect because it's a BRAND NEW BIKE THAT THEY ALREADY INSPECTED ONCE. He walks off and hangs out in the back of the shop. The manager, I'm assuming, comes out and asks inspection guy if I've been taken care of and he said "No, I told him twice we close at noon." It's 12:02 at this point. So the manager asks me if I need some help and I say yes sir and tell him my situation. I'm thinking "alright, he's gonna see that this is an easy win for customer service." NOOOPPPEEE. He tells me he won't help me and I argue that I've already paid and was here before noon, and I make sure to point out the fact that while we've been talking he could've been done inspecting my bike. "Well," manager says, "inspection dude had to wrap up other customers." "Oh!," I exclaim, "You mean the customer that left two minutes after I pulled up?" The manager proceeds to ask me if I "see that sign right there" and points behind me. Behind me? Of course I don't see the stupid sign. The sign says they stop doing inspections for an hour between 12-1. I don't really care what the sign says, signs don't rule a business- managers and customer service do. I ask the man one last time if he will help me, insisting that I've already help up my end of the bargain by paying them, and he says no. I told him that I wouldn't be returning. Ever. "What about your money? You're losing $20." "That's fine; keep my $20. I ain't coming back. This place is a joke." So, if you want to go here after reading this, just be ready to pay money and not receive what you paid for, and to be treated like human garbage. I would rate lower than 1 star if possible.

Brought my car in b fore 8am. Needed a new power steering pump. I was home before 10am. Great mechanic! Sorry I didn't ask for his name. Will use Simpsons for all my servic needs. Thanks guys!!!!

Horrible service the owner Joe Simpson is racist and very rude and kept my car for the entire 8 hour day and never diagnosed the problem

Replaced my transmission fluid in my truck. Went through the trouble of looking up information on the internet and even making a call to Toyota to make sure everything was done correctly. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Used this place many times when I couldn't or didn't want to do repairs myself. They do honest work for a fair price. Ask for Greg, the owner.

Everytime i went to this place i felt unwelcomed and had to stand around without anyone asking me what i needed. Usually i just go for an inspection, but i won't go for that or anything else again.

Rip off don't know about the technical but the guy who does the inspection stickers is a a** seen him reject a car for window tint that was 40% and by the way they stop doing inspection stickers at 4:15pm DPS need to looking in to him but been wbr nothing will happened to him go for them they pop you with a 190$ ticket and their meet their quoted
