Always quick, enthusiastic service whether for a leaky tire or under-the-hood repairs. Advice for new issues detected during requested service is always friendly and supportive, not a sales pitch.Prices are consistently reasonable and never a surprise.I've had 14 years of reliable, friendly experience with Park Place.

Donald is the kindest mechanic I have ever met. There has been more than one instance where he fixes minor issues with my car free of charge. He is always great at explaining what is wrong and what needs to happen. Donald is brilliant at what he does and I never dread having to take my car in because I know I have nothing to worry about as long as he's working on it! This place is the absolute best. Donald is a real standup guy, with great advice and the friendliest demeanor. Very reasonable prices too. I needed a check engine light looked at, my brakes cleaned/adjusted, and an oil change. He was able to diagnose all my issues within 15 mins, and have my car back to me the same day. I recommend calling the day before you plan to come in so that they re expecting you, and you know what time to show up. Outstanding service from a really wonderful mechanic. Don did the job right, with open communication and honest pricing. As a woman who often feels taken advantage of with maintenance pricing, I very much appreciated Don s honesty and passion for doing great work.

I went in to have a tire repaired on my lunch brake and was yelled at and told to come back at 2:00 because it was hot and he was about to go to lunch. I explained to the mechanic that I was on my lunch break and they would be closed when I got off from work. He was beyond rude and yelled at me again to come back at 2:00. I thank him for his excellent customer service, with sarcasm he then said Thanks for not coming back BITCH !So don t waste your time or energy on the place!

Incompetent and Overpriced:I brought my car in to correct an issue related to the starter. Donald initially charged be $600 for parts and labor to replace the starter. Within two months the issue continued so I brought the car back understanding that the new starter was under warranty. Donald replaced the starter a second time and charged me another $300 for labor, and then told me that the flywheel needed to be replaced- another $1000. I would not recommend this company for two reasons. First, the cost of labor is VERY high and inconsistent. For the same job (replacing the starter), Donald charged me $300 the second time whereas the original repair labor had been $225. Second, he did not fix the repair the car- which was the core purpose of the visit. After the second time in the shop, when Donald charged $300, the car would not start the very next morning. Overall, I would not recommend anyone to this business for any meaningful repair. Donald charged me close $900 and three days without a car to fix the incorrect part.

I was near them when someone pointed out a nail in my tire. The man fixed it quickly and helped me back out in the road. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't had an issue, so I recommend them.

Got a flat and drove to Don since he was close. He ordered me a new tire and put it on the next day. All for a fair price! He even noticed my spare needed some extra air and topped it off for me. Would definitely go to him again for any tire issues.Service: TiresService: Tires

Be sure to read all of the negative reviews of this business because they all deal with the same issue. Poor customer service and Dave, I assume who is the owner, being very rude and angry.I called the shop yesterday and was told to come in anytime after 8 AM. Got here this morning at 9 AM and was told that I was too late and that they filled up for the day.Before I could say anything else he walked away in the middle of our conversation with his hands up in the air saying I don t know what to tell you. There was no attempt to work with me to come back tomorrow or some other day of the week. There was no interest in helping me whatsoever.Don t get me wrong, I understand if they re booked up and can t fit me in. What I have an issue with is that once I was told they were booked up he just turned around and walked away as if I had been bothering him for all of 38 seconds that we spoke.Maybe I avoided a bit of a nightmare though. I can t imagine their customer service is any better for their actual clients if they treat potentially new clients so poorly.I d recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Donald was as good as the other reviews say. I called ahead thinking I'd need to schedule an appointment to get my flat checked out and he told me he'd be ready for me in 20 minutes. I rock up and he fixed my tire and I was out in less than 10 minutes! Also he seemed pretty friendly.

Great service. Got a new tire in 30 minutes as promised at a fair price. Friendly, experienced and professional mechanic. I usually have my husband take my vehicle in for any necessary up keep. But now I don't have to wait on him. This place is professional and I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of; or feel timid.

These guys are fabulous. I needed an oil change and my tires checked. He did everything for a really fair price. There's a room with a/c to wait in, but he was so fast the time just flew. The guys there are incredibly friendly; I have never been more comfortable in an auto shop. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Highly recommend them.

I've come to Park Place twice and always received great service! I have only seen one person working there but he has always been able to get me in same-day or next-day. I appreciate the timeliness of his work, the friendliness I have gotten in person and over the phone, and the affordable prices. I will continue to come here for all my tire needs.

I always receive amazing and honest service. I've taken my car several times and received quick turnaround at a very fair price. I've gotten great advice here and never feel like I'm being tricked or pressured into expensive repairs. Absolutely recommend!

Very rude on the phone. Didn t even get a chance to talk before they hung up on me not ask questions. Maybe they are a good automotive shop, but I wouldn t know because their customer service was so bad.

Donald is a GREAT guy. He has told me more than once that I don't need to get something fixed on my car. I love an honest mechanic. I know nothing about cars so it is amazing when I can find a guy that I can trust. He has reasonable prices and will shoot it to you straight. Any time my friends have car problems I tell them they must go to Donald at Park Place. I can not recommend him highly enough.

Donald is amazing! I had a nail in my tire about a month ago and he stopped IMMEDIATELY, fixed it within 5 min and barely charged me anything. This means a lot to me because as a woman I am used to getting taken advantage of at mechanic shops. So thankful for this honest mechanic!

I'm sure the pandemic is stressful, however, you will see lots of people saying whoever picks up the phone is rude. Got the same treatment, wouldn't let me finish even saying good morning, told him I'm having a car that's been overheating, immediately says I got 80 cars ahead of you, go find another mechanic, there's plenty of them in the city and hung up. I understand of you don't need extra business if you're at capacity but, my guy, just gracefully say we are booked.

Debris hit my car today from the car in front of me resulting in a flat tire and some damage to front bumper driving from Baton Rouge to New Orleans. Called in and he was super helpful. Stopped by two hours later, he remembered our conversation and I left about 40 minutes later with a new tire. He was very kind and explanatory. He checked out my car for any additional damage from the debris that hit and even popped my bumper back in and a little more for no additional charge. I didn't feel like I was dumb for not knowing anything about cars and he only charged me for the tire. Would highly suggest. He seems honest / kind.

I'm always very cautious when it comes to trying new mechanics. I brought my car here and was immediately impressed. Not only was the service fast, reasonable, and done correctly, he even told me what wasn't necessary to fix at that time. I highly recommend bringing your car here. Honest and effective auto mechanics are hard to find but Park Place fits the bill.

Douglas fixed my tire quickly for $18. He was able to put a plug so it was quick. He didn't need to take the tire off and I was back on the road. Good place.

Mr. Donald was the nicest, most honest mechanic. He told me that he could replace my entire exhaust system for $2000, but that since my car is old he referred me to someone who could weld a new piece of pipe on for less than $100. He didn t even charge me anything for looking at my car. I ll definitely be going back for anything I need in the future!

I wish I would have known about Donald over a month ago when my radiator needed to be replaced. Donald was lightning fast in replacing my alternator and the most honest and pleasant mechanic I have ever done business with. He has my business for years to come and I hope you ll give him yours.

I've gotten my new tires here for all the cars I've had over the past five years or so... And when things come up, I use these guys to service any issues with my tires as well. They've never let me down, are always honest, and trust their opinion when it comes to the well being of my tires over any other!

I am one of those people who doesn t even know how to open her own car hood and had a coolant light come on. I was at a loss as to what to do and called this place. They were so nice and helped me out fast and inexpensively. I did not buy tires from them as I didn t need tires. But when I do, I will definitely come here. People often take advantage of someone who doesn t know anything about cars - they didn t do so here at all and I really appreciate that.

Really great and honest service. Had my check engine light on, figured out what's wrong and replaced the sensor. Also, side mirror was damaged. Instead of charging me for a new more expensive replacement ($100) he gave me an option of getting it from a junkyard for much cheaper price if I want to save money.

While visiting New Orleans, we got a flat tire the night before we leave. Being an amateur at cars,i thought i need to replace my tire so i called around in the morning and got a quote for $178. I thought my money will be gone again till i called Park Place and Donald (i assumed) picked up.i explained to him and he told me to come over so he can take a look,he'll be there all day. It is true that u cant simply call about car prob then expect ppl to solve it or offer suggestions through phone.they have to see it before they do anything.When i arrived,Don asked about the situation,promptly take a look and said my tire got a nail in there.he pulled it out,got the nail out,sealed it and out it back. I expressed concern about doing 7 hours road trip after this so he made sure its all patched up. He also checked and put air in all of my tires before we leave. All for less than $20! He was very honest,fast and nice.Here i am 7 hours later in my trip,safely arrived at my destination and writing my review. I was worried that the tire would blow out again on the way cause the patch up was very quick so i had doubts.but nothing happened and im very grateful and glad i chose Park Place.Tire store and dealer prob ask me to replace for a new one and i'd prob agree while knowing nothing about cars.but Don saved me all that money and time. I very appreciate it and i'd totally recommend him to NOLA visitors with car trouble
