Tommy and his team at Mid City Automotive did an awesome job loading up a truck for us. Tommy was very professional and kind. I loved how he proactively offered to go down and check out the unit without any commitment the day before. They were on time and got the job done in a timely manner. Did not have a visitors tag at the apartment complex so I was towed. I do not have a problem with that. What I DO have a problem with, is the tow company damaging my car. I called & politely explained they damaged my car. They told me I needed common sense to climb up under the car & attach clips, that he only touched the tires. Um, yeah.....this was NOT how my car was before they towed it. I was NOT ugly when I called, but for him to tell me I had no common sense and then hang up on me, completely UNPROFESSIONAL. I didn't mind the tow but if I ever have to be towed again, I hope it's NOT with this company. Very rude!!!!!

The Mid City Driver drove 20 mph in reverse, from across a parking lot and rammed my vehicle. This occurred while I was attempting to back out of my parking space, after unloading my family and an ice chest. He did not hook onto the tires correctly, which damaged my rear differential and brake caliper. He pushed my vehicle up and over a 10" curb & into the bushes, WHILE I WAS BACKING OUT AND INSIDE MY VEHICLE. Beyond unprofessional and very threatening. I will be contacting the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana. Tow Truck License plate B015805 on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 9:45am. These drivers and tow company are clearly targeting certain people. It's a Horrible Company with RUDE and DISHONEST Employees on a power trip! As mentioned in other reviews, they demanded Cash to release. I wonder how much driver collected cash is reported to the owners and/or reported as business income...

My apartment run by Tonti, have a contract with this company. They ride around the complex looking for cars to tow. I ve actually watched these people sit in front of my building and to tow someone s car.The problem I m having, when i call to have a vehicle that s parked in my spot illegally, they won t show up! The minute my boyfriend who is always here parks there, they tow him. Company sucks and is a scam!Then when you call to see if they even have the car, the woman who answers the phone, doesn t even know if someone was out driving the night before or can even locate the car.

I give them one star because one of their employees took my personal off a fire scene on a working fire. I'm an employee for a fire department they didn't want to bring my truck back I had my fire chief and the owner of the apartment complex plus jp cops told him to bring it back and told the tow truck driver to bring my truck he said no after he unlawful took and damaged my trailer hitch wiring for on my truck. But I give thanks to the owner for getting my truck to me quickly and safely.

This place has the ultimate unethical petty hustle. If I could give Zero Stars I would.If you park in the parking lot in McDonald's on North Board St, New Orleans near St. Augustine High School, please be on the lookout for Mid City Automotive and Towing, tow trucks. There are signs are the parking lot about possible boots being put on your vehicles and vehicles being towed if not a McDonald's customer.This company will wait for you to get out of your vehicle watch to see if you go into McDonald's then come in McDonald's and ask if you parked a vehicle (matching your vehicle)...if you don't respond THEY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE, if you respond and don't show proof of ownership then THEY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE, if you are in the bathroom and don't hear person ask about the vehicle THEY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE, if you are deaf and hard of hearing a have no clue if what the person said in McDonald's THEY WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE. They will give you your vehicle back for a mere $168.29.When I explained to them what happened they said I called there driver a liar. Sir, Brother, I did not call him a liar, I told you what the McDonald's employees said and saw. That your guy was around the area seemingly waiting and watching for people to park and see where they were going. McDonald's employees also mentioned the driver came in to ask yet ignored when someone said it was theirs.The only reason I used this company is that they towed my vehicle from McDonald's. My Wife, a St. Aug Mom, was a customer at McDonald's and did not know they were towing the vehicle.

This place is beyond thieves. They did extensive damage to my vehicle after towing me while I was at the gym and when I complained the owner called me a homophobic slur and said he would cut my throat. The worst experience I have ever had in New Orleans. Don t go here!!!!!!!

This restaurant has currently been closed. The parking lot is empty but also has low visibility of towing signs posted on a side gate. Without hesitation my daughter and nephew parks there, both which are new to driving and is clear to see they are younger drivers. I get a phone call from my daughter saying that within two minutes of them being in Subway, they were booted and proceeding to tow their vehicles. The tower claimed he put boots on both cars and removed my nephew s car to tow it immediately and call his partner for my daughter s car all within 2 MINUTES. IS THAT REALLY POSSIBLE? HE CLAIMED THAT HE WOULD CHARGE MY DAUGHTER $90 AND MY NEPHEW A BOOT FEE AND TOWING FEE OF $120 on spot in cash. If he had to tow it , it would be $240. DID YOU EXPECT FOR KIDS TO HAVE THAT LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY ON THEM IN CASH? He suggested that they would walk around the corner to the ATM. When they returned back with the money, he proceeded to give them one receipt which would show in the system that he only booted one car and pocketed an extra $90 because he agreed to charge them both $90. YET MY NEPHEW HAD THE ORIGINAL COPY(WHITE) AND MY DAUGHTER HAD THE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL (YELLOW). THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND ARE MONEY HUNGRY NO MATTER YOUR AGE RANGE DON T PARK THERE !!! AND SCREW MID-CITY TOWING FOR SCAMMING KIDS.Service: Car towing

Our apartment complex accidentally towed our car, so we have to come over and deal with that. Staff was understanding and pleasant about, though we still had to bail out the car with an rather large price tag. Luckily the apartment Staff reimbursed it.

My SUV was mistakenly towed because the kiosk wasn t working and didn t register my plates BUT I HAD A PRINTED TICKET!! Thank GOD or else it would have been even more stressful! I took an Uber to go find my car and thankfully Mr.Thomas and Mr.Greg were the ones that had her in good hands! I was an absolute mess crying from stress and being already overly exhausted from working the show at the convention center. I was ready to go home and these two gentlemen made it happen! They were professional and VERY kind! Pretty sure the previous reviews of how the claims of this place being rude is just them not being happy that they didn t get their way when they were in the wrong! They treated me as if I was family and it showed! 10/10 no matter the situation. AND ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGES!!! Thankyou Thomas and Greg SO MUCH for being so understanding and making sure I was well taken care of and safe!Service: Car towing

Car was towed from parking lot when I had a visible sticker from property in back windshield as was told to me to put by the property. I called the tow company to get my car back he said it will cost 168 because sticker was in back not in front, I told him I have an email from the property that states put sticker in back window and he did not want to hear it, said he would need to hear it from the property, the property got my car back but the car should not have been towed at all due to I have a sticker, this company is ignorant and don t own up to their mistakes not even an apology just rudeness. Do not use this company they are horrible.

My truck got stolen when I was in New Orleans. It ended up being found by NOLA PD and mid city impounded it. They took really great care of it. The owner and employees were great to deal with and they helped me out getting my truck window fixed enough (that was broken out) and a tire pumped up that had picked up a nail. They are a bunch of scanners that tow your vehicles illegally. They hide them in the back of their building and sometimes deny having it. They tow from PUBLIC areas which they are not suppose to and then they wait to notify you that your vehicle is in thier possession to drive up the storage fees. Absolutely unprofessional staff at window and the State Police needs to investigate their entire operation.

THIEVES! This place drives around apartment complexes and doesn t have the brains to recognize what permits are for what apartments and towed my husbands car when it had a permit in it! Then made us pay $200 to get it back! We called New Orleans police department and obviously they said they wouldn t come, so these people drive around and steal peoples cars because they have a business license it s not considered stealing. And make u pay for your car back even if they messed up and didn t see your parking tag! Don t ever use this business. Their thieves.

Not good for businesses -in the Planet Fitness in Metairie parking lot. Shame on those businesses for hiring this towing company. I double parked in said lot where one spot was with a light pole. Who was the one over the line? Y all are! Needless to say I will never frequent PF again in Metairie! Been there since Day One too.

They all have nasty attitudes and take no fault in any problems they cause. You call them to ask them a question and Chris is yelling over the phone before you can even get your words out. When you call back Tommy will act just the same as Chris . Rude and unhelpful. The tow truck driver Phil lies about what goes on while towing your vehicle and all them in the office will say I m going to back up my driver and take his side any day with no regard to what you are saying. They tell lies knowing they can get away with it and try to intimidate you over the phone.

This company is scamming people and only want your money! Tried towing my car this morning and said if I zelle him $140 he ll give me my car. The money went straight to him and not the company. Called the company to to ask about it and was told he ll give me a call back and never did.

It s a grift, taking advantage largely of poor and working class people in New Orleans. Multiple locations in the city with improper signage baiting cars to park in what appear to be vacant lots so they can tow and charge exorbitant fees. There s a poster of Kanye West on the wall with a Make America Great Again hat on, which tells you about all you need to know about this place.

I have to say had it not been for Chris, Alex, and Tommy. I don t know how I would have been able to get a vehicle towed for a family member of mine. They were very Professional. They take time to work with you with patients. If I ever need a vehicle towed I would definitely call them first. Thanks Mid City Towing for such Excellent Service.Service: Car towing

I mean, if my car HAS to be involuntarily towed for illegal parking, these are the guys for the job! They were very helpful in helping me locate my vehicle, and showed excellent customer service when taking my cash payment. I know breaking the rules isn t funny, but these dudes were so cool, we were even able to laugh at this mega-awkward situation. As opposed to paying a penalty, I would look at this experience as paying almost $200 for a humorous and friendly chat. Now, I m cancelling my reservation at Commander s Palace and I m on my way to Taco Bell.

I went to get an oil change at this location, the level of Customer Service was unmatched. Being a Travel Business Owner of #ImagineDatVacation I was able to get this done and didn't have to worry about getting back to work on time because I work for myself.I would recommend Mid City Automotive to anyone!!!If you're looking for a Travel Agent, don't hesitate to reach out to me!!!

My sons car was towed from an apartment complex while visiting his sister on Easter weekend. While picking the vehicle up the owner would not let me inspect for damage before moving. He was arrogant and rude without cause. Very unprofessional!!

If I could rate them a negative 20 I would! They are extremely rude, and very unprofessional!!! My car was towed there by NOPD, because it was involved in a very bad accident!! I called to ask questions after receiving a bill in the mail, because I ve never been in this situation before and they wasn t helpful when I was there!! They act as if the question I was asking was soo hard to explain! After I explained to them I ve never had to deal with this before! Also the day I went to retrieve my item out of the vehicle they were super excited that my car was a total lost!! They lady smiled while talking to me about it!! Basically jumping for Joy! I Assume because they get paid from this! But very inconsiderate to my situation!!

This was such a rip off. We were in NOLA and due to poor signage, parked in a cab stand. My vehicle was towed! I asked why not a ticket and was told that they ticketed and towed at the same time!? What? Who does that? Mid City towing had hundreds of cars from the city's visitors who came to the city to enjoy and spend $$$ otherwise. Shame on you all for treating your guest this way!

Horrible and rude employees. We needed an unauthorized vehicle towed as it was parked in our assigned spot at our apartment complex. We gave them make/model, and after an hour of waiting (could not park elsewhere as all spots are assigned, and the complex is full) we called for an update. We were told that they called the apartment manager and the vehicle was authorized to park there. When we asked for further information so we could sort it out, they hung up on us. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and called again to try to get further information, but hung up on us again while we were trying to find out what was happening! We just wanted to park our car, and relax at our HOME and we were told NOTHING. Just that the vehicle was authorized (with no parking pass or visitor pass) and repeatedly hung up on when we tried to figure out what was happening.
