As a daily rider this is the only shop I trust with my bikes.I bought my first scooter from Dave in 2018 and have been a customer ever since; when I was ready to upgrade they helped me find my next bike.They're always great with being transparent about costs,what your bike needs, and I appreciate that there's no surprises.I know I can always call to schedule a pickup/ tow if my bike won't start, so it'll always get to the shop when it needs work.The prices are very reasonable, the work is good, and I know my bike is in good hands.If you have a Vespa this is the place to go, they're the experts!

Dave, the owner is excellent. I have a couple Honda ruckus that he s been helping me maintain over the years and whenever I have an issue he responds quickly and will help me get the bike right away. Every so often I will price out the other motorcycle shops in town to make sure I m getting a reasonable deal and he s usually 40% less or more than the competitors.

David and FX Motorsports saved me when I reached NOLA on a five week, 5000 mile trip and needed a rear tire installed on my FJR-1300 in the next 5 hours! He squeezed me in, did the job competently, charged very fairly for a Dunlop tire plus labor, AND was extremely pleasant to deal with from start to finish. Highly recommend you check out this shop for MC and scooter diagnosis and repair service you won t be disappointed!

They brought my beloved FJR1300 back to life. The only criticism I have is that this is a very popular and in-demand shop, so you ll need to make an appointment, and it may take them awhile to get to your bike. However, they communicate well and they were quick to respond to emails about the status of my bike s repairs. Their pricing is transparent and fair. The staff is very knowledgeable and they can handle any issue on two wheels. If you have a motorcycle, or if you want to buy or sell a used one, fxmotorsports is a great place to start.

Yooo they fixed me up after a time sensitive emergency w my front brake and got me on the road within a day, and took the time to listen and converse with me about the bike. Very friendly, high confidence level in the quality of work, would recommend and I would go there again myself, labor rate was reasonably priced. 5/5

I came to FX Motorsports just looking at what they had for sale and I received 20 minutes of devoted attention by one of their junior mechanics, Morgan, who explained what they had based on my needs. He explained everything from how the transmission worked to the manufacturer of the bike itself.

David was so patient and kind and understanding of my situation. He had me back up and running in a few HOURS whereas other mechanics have had me waiting weeks. The work was super clean and thorough and included details their local repair counterparts would've have ignored. 10/10 very kind, fair price, quick turn around, quality work. Save yourself a bad experience elsewhere and trust them as your local go to. Thanks David

Very unprofessional lady on the phone. Couldn't even answer a question about valve adjustment. I don't know why they get the people with the least experience working the phones. Lost a customer/ sale at this point. I'll be sure to steer all my two wheeled friends away from this shop

Great motorcycle shop. These guys are fantastic at getting parts fast. My parts were ordered and installed in 4 days. I was ridding for the weekend. Thanks FX! Update!! October 2nd 2021. This shop continues to get it right. I came on a Friday afternoon and they had my flat fixed with a new tube mounted and balanced in an hour. Thanks to all the great Staff at FX. My "go to" motorcycle shop in the New Orleans area.

Having lived in New Orleans for almost a decade now I know it can be difficult to find a good motorcycle repair shop here. However, with both my current motorcycle and previous scooter, FX has reliably been there and has taken care of my ride every time I brought it in, occasionally working around time-frames and a budget that were... well... challenging. They have been good to me and I can't thank them enough for all the work they've done.

FX was a savior for me. I had gone to Chuck House Motorsport and they quoted me an astronomical amount. Dave was so knowledgeable, honest and nice. He fixed my bike for a fraction of the cost quoted by the other shop. If you are a female and want an honest shop please go see Dave @ FX.

First of all a bit of background: I live 2 blocks from this shop and have been using their service with satisfaction since I owned my scooter (2012 Honda Ruckus). I have a very cordial relationship with Dave who has been the "manager" every time (4-5 times) I used FX. He has been very good at communicating issues and how to solve them. On Monday I dropped off my scooter at Fx with Dave because the day before it stopped running. I told him the symptoms and he said he would check it out and get back to me. After 3 full days I have not heard anything so I thought I would stop by on my way home. The bike was there and so was a very agitated gentleman claiming to be the manager in Dave's absence. I did not need to pick up my scooter, I just needed to find out what was going on since I had not heard back as I normally do. I even said: " I can come back if you want" to which he rudely said: "there's no later as we are about to close" (i had meant tomorrow, etc. He then proceeded to shuffle about and get together my bill which I didn't even ask for. All I wanted was some information... Then he provided me with a large bill accusing me of having "non conventional" jets put in by someone else which is not true because the jets were put in by FX under Dave's approval and I have the paperwork. When I told him that he told me I was lying and to leave. When I asked him what his name was so that I could discuss this with his boss he told me in Dave's absence he was the manager and refused to provide me that information. I am 49 years old I have NEVER in my life have been treated so poorly by a Service provider before. I just paid the bill in shock and took my scooter home which did not sound normal at all. Seriously considering legal action at this point.

FX is hands-down the best shop in the city. Brought my bike in for work nearly six years ago and the owner still remembers me by name. Great work, great rates, great staff. Wouldn't trust anyone else in Louisiana, period.

I recently moved out of state and not sure why I never wrote an official review of the best group of guys over at FX, I am ashamed!Dave and his crew over at FX took care of myself and countless others I knew in NOLA as I never missed a chance to recommend them. I would consider these guys family as they treat everyone like family and are the most honest shop in town.I dont think there is a bike they cant work on as you will see everything from Harley, BMW, Triumph, Japanese, and even a Rickshaw or two in there at times!Their honesty and prices CAN'T be beat in the city I assure you that and as a loyal customer of theirs for almost 8yrs I can assure you that you will become loyal for life after your first visit as well.Cheers FX Crew! After trying to sell my motorcycle on my own for a couple of months, I brought it to FX for them to sell it for me. Since I was about to leave town for a long vacation, I signed the titles and left the motorcycle and papers with them. Within a reasonable time period they found a buyer, phoned me, and we negotiated an acceptable price. They handled everything without me being there, and charged much less sales commission than other dealers that I had contacted previously. They are very easy to do business with and good people.

This is the second time I have brought my Taotao, 50cc, to be repaired. I would say that both visits I had some extensive work to be done (the first time I got into an accident and needed several repairs; the second time I had no shelter for my scooter and left it out in the elements for over a year so many parts needed to be replaced and repaired). Both times I have left very satisfied with the work that they have done and brought my scooter back to life, fully functioning. Also, I have gone to other shops to see about having repairs done, only to be told that they could not do it. FX Motor Sports took care of it without a problem! They do not seem to be very expensive either! I fully trusted them and always had great interactions. Highly recommended!

I have a 2012 Honda Fury and just moved to New Orleans from Philadelphia and i have to say i'm very happy to have found these guys! My bike is my sole means of transportation so two things i look for are speed and quality of service, and FX Motorsports provide both. Whenever they've done work for me they got my bike back to me asap and with great work done! Definitely recommend these guys!

Purchased a used Vespa here and while I was there they took a look at my other Vespa that was scheduled to be repaired at another shop due to it being hit by a car. David gave me a quote and also caught a big problem the other shop missed. Needless to say I decided to get the repairs here instead. Great shop!

Dropped My vstar off cuz the forward cylinder was making noise. I clearly explained that I wanted him to find out what was making the noise. Instead I get a call days later he tells me he drained my carbs n there's water in the tank, says my carbs need rebuilt n not a word about the noise. Charged me a hundred bucks for nothing. ROOKIES.

They are listed on the Ural website as a Ural dealer that performs service, but lack the tools and/or experience to complete even the most basic repairs. I needed a transmission flush - really? Take your bikes over to Chuck House instead.Edit: Just look at how they responded! Unprofessional and rude through and through. I guess the two texts I sent trying to get my bike sorted out at the only "official" Ural service shop in town was too much for them.

I have been using these guys for about 2 years now. They are just awesome. It's a locally owned "Mom and Pops" type place. They treat you like a friend, not a customer. I brought my scooter to them before for tuning. They rode it around the block for 5 minutes, came back and told me it's too lean, put a bigger jet on it. He refused to charge me. ARE YOU SERIOUS.They have a customer for life. As long as I live in New Orleans, I'll stop by there first. There are other places here in New Orleans, but you will never get the customer satisfaction like you will get here. Also, these guys know scooters and motorcycles like the back of their hand. They can just listen to a scooter run, and tell you it's too rich/lean, or if it needs timing adjustments. Just a pleasure to deal with. And a lot of time, they have used parts they will sell you, too. Fraction of the price. We need more people like them!!!!!!!!!!

I am a first time Scooter buyer, never ridden in my life. the guy I talked to there David was very nice very professional and helped me every step of the way thru the process of buying, getting my paperwork done, finding the right scooter for me to start on, showing me how to operate it and basic maintenance, referring me to someone for insurance. He offered help if i needed it to come back, he got me a helmet and i felt very taken care of thru out the entire experience.I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get a scooter or for a mechanic

Dave and the guys handled my insurance claim as my BMW 650 scooter was stolen, damaged and recovered.All is fixed an running just fine.I would definitely recommend FX to any cycle rider.

Great place to take your scooter or motorcycle for service. The shop is run by nice folks that provide quality maintenance at reasonable prices. No glitz or glamour, just quality service. I have used them a lot and have never felt like I was ripped off for any service they did on my motorcycle.

Professional and friendly, this shop is the best! They are honest, polite, and have very fair prices. They get to stuff in a very timely manner, and they are honest and up front. Best scooter shop in New Orleans, hands down.

Everyone at FX has been more than helpfull with my problems. I have been restoring a 1975 Yamaha for a while now and when I ran into trouble I called these guys for help. Guaranteed they are a busy shop so they take the propper amount of time to get it done right the first time. But in the end, I have an awesome bike that I couldnt have been riding around without the staff at FX Motorsports
