Many years ago this company did a quick and well priced replacement of a mirror on my car. This weekend I had a hit and run on my car that took the entire mirror off, as well as causing damage that requires bodywork. Broad Glass referred me to a body work shop (Chambliss) that worked with me to replace the mirror and do the bodywork at a cost way below what I expected. Big plus: I don't have to make an insurance claim - I can afford it out of pocket.I will cannot recommend this company highly enough.

They take walk-ins which has been a lifesaver! Plus WAY cheaper than a service like SafeLite. Had to come in twice with urgent issues, first a cracked windshield and later a shattered window from a break-in. Reception has always picked up the phone quickly and gives you an estimate based on your make/model etc, no waiting through an automated phone system. They were able to get both fixed same day. They also vacuumed up all the broken glass strewn all over the car from the break-in, which was awesome.

I m extremely happy with my experience with Broad Glass, and highly recommend their services! My passenger side window was smashed the night before a cross country move, and they were able to replace it next morning for less than half of what Safelite quoted. We dropped off the car at 8am and had it repaired by 10am, as promised. They were kind, courteous, and performed above and beyond my expectations. I m happy to support a local business as well!

I ve had windows installed here before, but this occasion I had a bad experience. This guy must not have experience with Silverados, he put deep scars in arm rest trim. It was as if he couldn t remove it and installed the trim back with no clips to hold it in.Hit a bump and the trim feel out.

This is a classic company that is busy enough that they don t care about treating new customers well. They scratched my car and installed the quarter in a way that the window was visibly popping out. They were about to close that day and so they offered to fix it the next business day. I needed to get my car detailed the following day and had to put that on hold. The morning of drop off they told me they would get it fixed as fast as they could but that I could do a late pick up if necessary. They did not explain late pick up would mean leaving my car unlocked on Tulane Ave with the key inside. When talking to them it was as if I was wrong they were rude in a way that I can t fathom. The window, while looking a little better is still popped out and they are saying it s the part and not them. Very unfriendly and pretty much blamed me for having the problem. Customer service is everything and I had to spend $50 in cab fares, it looks terrible, they charged me over $600 and it s not worth it. They never mentioned or took responsibility for the scratches and I feel like they just thought I wouldnt care because truthfully my car has been pretty dirty since the pandemic, but I am over here trying to make it better and here they are making it worse. I just don t appreciate the attitude on it. Life is hard enough. This is not how community small businesses should be. If you are going to offer late pick up then you should have a lockbox with a code you can give someone. They are easy to change and cost like $15-35, depending on the technology. It s not hard.

From my initial call to driving away with a new back windshield, I had great service from them. The office staff was friendly and professional, helpful. That means a lot to start the overall experience. The price was a relief, they did it right away, and though I expected to get my car back with the broken glass still all inside, nope, they cleaned it up for me. What more could I expect? So, here's my thanks.

This place is good. Sherry did not play around, she knows her stuff. She immediately told me the problem with my regulator and then found some stock, gave me a fair price. I dropped it off and the window was fixed in a few hours. They were very professional and can n ow roll my window up.?Plus they have a warranty, what more could you want? I am very happy and hope I don't have to see them again anytime soon, lol, but if I do I know where to go to get business taken care of. Thanks again to the staff and Sherry, you're the best!

Had a great experience getting my windshield replaced at Broad Glass. I checked around for pricing in the area and they were the lowest. The final cost was just what they quoted me in an email beforehand. I brought my car in later in the morning and it was done at 3 that day. Great, easy to work with, highly recommend.

Excellent service, full stop. Called to see if auto glass was available at noon on Friday, they said they could install it same day and they kept their promise. Helped me out to keep my cost low and get me the best deal. They even made sure to preserve my parking decal and brake tag on windshield. Took care of me without an appointment and with quick and easy and POLITE service. Mom and pop type place that I would recommend to everyone!

Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous are all words I would use to describe the employees at Broad Glass. Broad had the windshield replacement completed at half the cost quoted to me by another company that offered to come to me.I arrived at 08:30 to have a windshield replaced and Sherri quickly helped me figure out the particular type required as I was unsure if I needed the rain sensor or not. The friendly technician explained to us how to find this information on my car in less than 3 minutes. Sherri had the paperwork filled out and told me that it would be 2.5 hours for the total job, which was far less time than I imagined. Pickup was easy and quick. Overall, this was a pleasant experience and I look forward to working with Broad Glass in the furture.

There is only 1 thing worse than having your window broken and that is having Broad Glass pulling a bait and switch. I paid for a window and came in three days later to have it installed. I left my car there and received a call an hour later telling me the glass I paid for was broken in their supplier's warehouse. They then tell me I have to pay freight to get a new piece and wait 5 days to get it. Not that I would have to do this with a reputable company, but I questioned why I would be responsible for broken glass that they supply. They actually put on one of the owners who then tried to say it wasn't their fault either. At this point, I knew it wasn't worth dealing with them, god forbid I ever had any issues with the install, who knows what kind of excuses I would hear.Yes, I told them put the cracked window back in and I went elsewhere.I didn't give them 1 star only because right before I told them forget it, the owner tried to say, let me see what I can do. A day late and dollar short as they say!

Both of our cars had a window broken. Criminals hit our entire block with the classic smash and grab. Safelight gave me quotes that totaled $650. Broad is doing the same work for $440. I would prefer to keep the business local, so would have been happy if they had met the price, let alone crushed it like this. The staff was friendly, sympathetic and straightforward. Highly recommend them.

We were visiting New Orleans and on Christmas Eve, early in the morning, someone smashed in our car windows. As it was Christmas Eve, most places were booked. The neighbor suggested Broad and even called to let them know we needed help. Ann was so wonderful! They told us to come right away and she helped get our Insurance connected to pay for it! We had our car back before noon and were on our way! Amazing customer service!!! I highly recommend!

This place had a decent amount of good reviews so I went twice to have chips "repaired". However the second time I went, the "repair" looked questionable to me so I asked the technician if it was repaired and he said yes. A few weeks later my windshield appears like this in my pictures. I called and went back in. I'm guessing it was the manager/owner who examined it. Whoever mentioned management is rude and has poor customer service in another review is spot on. The manager tried to avoid blame by saying there was another chip but you can clearly see even in photos I took that the one repaired had grown and is the largest chip on my windshield. I told him that the technician had informed me it was repaired and the manager/owner tried arguing with me forever that it indeed was repaired but that repairs weren't always guaranteed & his offer/warranty to fix the problem was to deduct the cost of repair from a new windshield so it's still hundreds, oh and right before Christmas during a pandemic. Then his quote with that discount was equal to what another place quoted me WITHOUT a discount so they are overpriced as well. I informed him that he lost my business and I would not be giving a good review and he didn't seem to care at all.

I needed my front windshield replaced so I called ahead and verified they had it in stock and then dropped my car off at 11:30 am for the windshield replacement. By 1:30 pm they called me and said it was ready for pickup. They did a great job! Both the quality of the install and the replacement glass was first class. They even went out of their way and saved my brake tag and taped it onto the new front windshield.Besides high quality work the window replacement price was much lower than competing firms. So I highly recommend them for reasonably priced, high quality auto glass replacement.

Real bad paid to replace a window regulator only to find that they could not only fix the problem .but the mechanic broke the regulator that was already in the car and was not the problem so I ask for the old one and he said he had to break it to get it out. Wow wow now I was out $100 dollars .and new that was install was not I stalled but left inside of the door .not bolded back in place.

I read bad reviews but gave this place the benefit of the doubt because they offered the best price. They in fact cause more harm than good. I went to them to replace my broken driver side window. I had shattered glass everywhere. They did replace my window and cleaned up some of my shattered glass but when I rolled down the window I could still hear crackles of shattered glass within the window seal. They didn't even do a clean job in replacing the glass. In addition, the next day I had an electrical problem. My lights didn't turn on, A/C did not turn on, windows could not roll down, and windshield whippers would turn on without me turning it on. I didn't think this was the cause of replacing the window due to multiple complications. After taking it to an expert electrical mechanic and several days to diagnose, the mechanic found that that the new window that was installed trapped a communication wire between glass and plug. Board Glass has cost me an additional $200 to fix a problem they caused.I had the mechanic explain this to the manager at Board Glass and she was rude, dismissive, not even willing to apologize for their error. I do not recommend this place! They have no idea what they are doing, this is why they are cheap. They have caused additional time and money lost. This place is horrible!!!

They have terrible service! I had to call several times to find out if they can make my out of square tempered glass. They kept on telling me that they had to wait for their manufacturer's reply. After over 2 weeks of wait, they did not even bother to call to inform me whether they can make my glass or not. Each time I called they were very rude and frustrated. If there is negative ratings I would have given them one!EDIT: addendum replying to ownerThank you for your reply. This is a whole story: when I called to give the out-of-square dimensions of my glass I was told by Anthony that there is no problem with making them, there will be an additional $10 surcharge for out-of-square, which I was fine with.I was told that I would get an official quote and would get a call when the "manufacturer" gets back to him. I never got a call. When I called to check on the quote, both Anthony and Ann were very rude. In the meantime my front porch is exposed to inclement weather.Since I could not wait for the call, I went to your store on Friday 09/10/19 to give Anthony the drawings and dimensions of my glass and paid for the deposit of 50%. At this time I told Anthony that I need my glasses ordered because my porch was freshly finished and painted. Anthony told me that he would call me once he gets the confirmation from your manufacturer. I did not get that call.I called you again and was told that the manufacturer had trouble with my out of square dimensions. When I asked if your company can still make my glass he said yes if someone in your store comes out to take the measurements. I agreed to being charged $125 for it. I was told that I would get a call, again I did not get that call. When I called, Ann was very rude and frustrated with me and said I would get a call when she heard back from the manufacturer. By now you probably know that I did not get that call.My patience has a limit so yesterday I called to cancel the order and was told that I would get my deposit back minus the $125. I thought that was not right so Anthony agreed to refund me the whole amount. Frankly, I should've pulled this order a while ago, but I was too busy to do so.You replied that the glass were ordered and I need my glasses as soon as possible. If you can expedite the order (I agree to pay a surcharge if it is reasonable). Let me know when I can expect them. You have my mobile number.

If you have any glass problem at all, go here! They are fast, skilled, and the best priced option out there. I had my drivers side window replaced in about an hour and a half like new again. Great customer service also. The best glass repair in the city!

Lots and lots of waiting. Nobody seems to move fast around here. If you come, don't wait around.. it's miserable watching these guys do everything but efficiently change auto glass. You can't book an appointment. You just have to show up and get in line for service. They seem to break the job into acts. Act 1 they pull your car in. Then intermission. Act 2 pull your old windshield out. Then intermission. Then break for lunch. Etc. I waited around for 3 hours with nobody ahead of me. It looks like they did a good job and the price was reasonable. But it is pretty bad to wait around in their tiny tiny waiting room. If you go just drop off your vehicle and come back.

Shop appeared to have done a good job with the crack repair, but only the young male had good customer service. Bathroom at 8:30 in the morning was filthy. I was disappointed that tech did not notice another crack in my winshield and make a recommendation to repair. It's great customer service to see a problem and bring it to the customer's attention. That did not happen.

I had the worse experience ever with broad glass. I ordered a custom made mirror and I have my exact measurements as I placed the order. The rude woman that took my order messed up the measurements after charging me $52 for the mirror. After picking up the mirror I realized the measurements were not correct. I called Broad Glass to tell them about the mistake and the same woman that took my exact measurements said I gave her completely off the wall measurements. I knew exactly what measurements I gave her, because I was literally measuring the space that the mirror was going to fit in as I was speaking to her on the phone to make sure it was exact. Instead of her trying to resolve this misunderstanding, she told me and I quote We will not replace the mirror and I can spend another $52 to get it replaced and this was literally after the Christmas holidays, like I hadn t spent a lot of money already. She wouldn t even go half on a new mirror knowing she was in the wrong. Of course that call didn t end well and I will never spend my hard earned money there again! Do not spend your money at Broad Glass. They are rude, incompetent, and are more about themselves than the customers they should be serving.

Very professional and quick service. We had a rock from a lawn mower go through a double pane window on our home. Within a week, we had new glass installed. I will always call them when I have glass needs.

As far as replacing the windshield that went perfectly fine. I do however question some of the attention to detail. For instance they disconnected the line for my windshield wiper fluid spray. Fortunately, after some looking I figured it out and reconnected the line. However, for someone who had no clue what to do, they would have to go back and have them look at it, though they seem to be happy to take a look at any issue you may have. I will go back if I need to, just be attentive when you get your car back. Also, price was good and remained as quoted.

Had a windshield replaced at Broad Glass. Their quote was by far the lowest of any I received, and included all installation charges. (Be careful of those who advertise "Any windshield for $159" but tack on crazy charges!). Service took about 2 hours, and the staff were friendly and pleasant. Glad to support a locally-owned family business!
