Was passing through and was tired, I have IHG points, so I decided we to stop in and rest for the night. This is not what I m used to from an IHG hotel. I live in hotels 10 months out of the year. Swapping properties every 3 weeks. So I ve been in my share of hotel. In fact I m using my points to pay for this night. I would be pissed if I had to pay cash for it. This one is in dire need of a remodel. And I m not talking about slapping a coat of paint on. The room had stained carpets. Window had not been cleaned in forever, and Someone wrote wash me in the dirt. I wish they had put a date. Bathroom was bad. Tiles discolored around the bathtub, gunk and grime all over tub, sediments on shower head, rusted door hinges. I think I was dirtier after I went in to clean up. Water pressure was horrible. I skipped breakfast because there was nothing to eat. No milk for cereal, no pancakes, no cream cheese for beagle, the white gravy was brown it was so old. There was something with eggs in it, but I could not even tell what it was supposed to be. No cinnamon rolls. Good thing IHOP is very close. There are literally 4 other, cheaper hotels in the parking lot of this one. I will say the staff was very friendly, that s why this is a 2 star rating.Rooms: The room had stained carpets. Window had not been cleaned in forever, and Someone wrote was me in the dirt. I wish they had put a date. Bathroom was bad. Tiles discolored around the bathtub, gunk and grime all over tub, sediments on shower head, rusted door hinges. I think I was dirtier after I went in to clean up. Water pressure was horrible.Nearby activities: Historic downtown Natchitoches is close. Cute little town with tons of history and charm and world famous meat piesSafety: Area seemed really safeWalkability: Rural area with nothing really to walk to except other hotels and an IHOPFood & drinks: I skipped breakfast because there was nothing to eat. No milk for cereal, no pancakes, no cream cheese for beagle, the white gravy was brown it was so old. There was something with eggs in it, but I could not even tell what it was supposed to be. No cinnamon rolls.

Not family or kids friendly. Traveled with family. Get complained about for excessive noise even as we were checking in the room and forced to sign a warning with severe repercussions piece of paper by attendant! Attendant blatantly lied about no manager available for site which was refuted by another later by the entry counter.Truly wish for these stubborn, dishonest sentries to truly experience excessive noise !Very limited breakfast options for vegetarians.Just glad we booked only for a night and got out at earliest opportunity.

Very nice hotel, very clean room and bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was not fancy but really good. Close to the college. You have to pay attention to the turn in as the road isn't marked at all.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable bed.

Felt so safe staying here! We ve been extra cautious about where we have our family stay lately and this place is safe!Dalton was amazing and got us the best possible rate for our room since we were in town for our good friends wedding. Room was clean and the beds were sooo comfy we would all just fall asleep so fast. Shower was amazing, the shower head didn t have build up or anything like other hotels. Front desk and cleaning staff were smiley and kind.Safety: We felt safe here.

Rooms are really nice and beds are really comfortable. The hotel was very clean, I liked the fact that every room that is cleaned they leave a card with the persons name on it. In my experience hotels that do this take pride in keeping there rooms clean for there customers. The people at the front desk are very nice and super helpful and accommodating if you need anything. Dalton at the front was very helpful and treated me and my wife really well. The hotel is close to the highway with plenty of stores and places to eat close by even walking distance. My wife enjoyed staying here and was very comfortable while I was at work. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm working in the area.Rooms: Rooms have a more modern furniture look than typical hotels. Tile and carpet were nice and rooms were really clean that made the stay really comfortable.Walkability: Plenty of places to eat closeby and stores all with in walking distance.

I always notice large number of work trucks in the parking lots of the Holiday Inn Express' late at night. The rooms have the same simple cumphy lay-out with microwave, coffee, frig, and lots of USB and 120V power plugs. Wi-Fi is zippy and easy to connect.Rooms: Lots of power plugs USB, 120v, small and very functionalNearby activities: Fast quality food

Wow. So pleased with our 2 bed suite here. It s been a few years since last visit and they ve really stepped up to the plate from our last time here. When it was not the best experience.Great room. Great beds. Safety mat in the bathtub. No problems with AC or plumbing this time around. Very expensive of course, but we re happy with our stay. May 2023.If you are traveling/vacationing in Louisiana, I ve created a Facebook group with trip reports and recommendations if you search for Jay Francis Louisiana.

The staff was wonderful. They were very sweet and made sure everything was just right for us. The hotel itself seems like it needs many repairs and lots of cleaning. Our bathtub had dark mold all around the edge. And the whole hotel just needs a thorough cleaning all over. The breakfast was typical but good and they had plenty of everything g despite the hotel being packed. But the stay itself was fine. Would probably come back here again if we are ever through this area sometime.

Called the front desk to make a reservation. I asked if there was any availability. The clerk responded yes and there was a click. I was forwarded to some kind of reservation line where I waited on hold for 5 minutes. Without any updates on wait time etc, I hung up. I called the front desk a second time and asked if I could book through the front desk. Without response, I heard another click and was again on the hold line. After another several minutes, I hung up called Fairfield Inn where we will stayI don t mind waiting, it would just be nice to have some clarity on the process.

Stayed here on business and it is really quiet. Location is really easy to get to off the interstate. Walking distance to several places to eat. Staff are really friendly and nice.Rooms: Very clean and they service them every day.Walkability: Very close to Whataburger, IHOP, Popeyes, Wendy's. Less than 4 minutes walking time to any one of them.

What a great HI Express. I was traveling through and planned an overnight rest. Stopped 1st at Hampton Inn across I-49, WOW what a rip.....right at $200 for one night. I remembered seeing a HI Express on other side of I-49 and have used them often. What a smart decision. Not only was room clean & comfortable the front desk service was spot-on. I forget the 2 clerks when checking in 1st night, , one was training the other but I can say they were both very good. They listened and heard my needs. The price was fantastic & a good night's sleep and breakfast next morn. All was so satisfactory, I made reservations for the return trip. Sally, the General Manager was most impressive & from the service I received I'm betting she treats her employees well. Yumekie, front desk agent was superb. Don't hesitate staying here you can't beat the service AND price. Thank you Sally and staff.

This place was a blessing to my husband & I. After leaving our home in Houma Louisiana to find a place to shower & sleep, after hurricane Ida, we couldn't find a hotel. We stopped here on a wish, a hope & a prayer. They could accommodate us for 1 night, figured it was better than nothing. The next morning we spoke with Ms. Sally & she made it happen for us to get another night! We have zero complaints about our stay!! Clean, comfortable & excellent customer service!! Now we head home to rebuild! Thank you for these 2 days of normalcy! Appreciate it more than you will ever know!!!

Had my vehicle broken into in the parking lot of this hotel while staying there. Was told afterward by police that this is a regular occurrence at this hotel and they still refuse to let their customers know. If you do decide to stay here be sure to remove any valuables from your vehicle because the staff will not warn you or help you in any way

This was one of this dirtiest hotels I have ever walked into. The towels were dirty, the sheets were dirty, they had syrup all over the floor and bench where you put your luggage. We booked a suite and were given no sheets for the sofa bed. When we went down to attempt to get a set they thought it was funny they couldn t find any pillows. We paid a higher price for a suite but couldn t get any pillows for the extra bed. There was mold all over the window by the air conditioning and the tub was stained. They had the locked bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. All completely empty except for a small Amy of body wash. We will never return.

My husband and I was in town for a funeral and we stayed at this hotel for the weekend and we had a horrible experience. The room was dirty and we found blood on our sheets! We were also told to change our own bedding! Never have I ever been treated so disrespectful in my life! Please don't ever stay at this disgusting hotel! It's not worth your health!

Stayed here many times, and always been a pleasant experience, until now. They stopped offering a welcome bag to rewards members upon arrival. When I asked about it, I was told that they had stopped giving automatically and it had to be requested. Then, in the morning there was no coffee and very little food. They were extremely short handed. The one employee that was there was very pleasant and the room was comfortable, but I'll have to think twice about staying there again.

The person at the front desk was not very friendly. Upon entering our room the TV was not functioning. They did remedy the situation. Our travel partner staying in another room experienced the TV not functioning as well. They replaced the box and then when he was ready for bed, discovered TV would not shut off.Fast asleep and upon waking, discovered the toilet wouldn't flush. The staff was alerted to our issues and we felt they just didn't care. This place appears to be heading straight down hill and not worth the posted rates at all.

There is mold everywhere in ice machines and the room AC machines were filthy. I was waking up with a bloody nose and not feeling well. I told the staff and showed photos on two occasions about the AC and ice machines and nothing was done. After 3 days, I changed hotels. Not even an out of order sign. Someone is going to seriously get sick in this place.

Called this location 6/17/23 approximately at 9:54 am to book for the weekend and the person answering the phone was rude rude rude!!! I am so disenchanted! It is southern Common curiosity to speak, I wish I had his name to do an individual complaint! First impressions are everything! Answering the phone and not having the decency to speak when spoken to is unacceptable. Will take our business elsewhere from now on when in Natchitoches, La

Stayed 3 days skip room service first day. But came in late 3rd day and key didn t work and room not clean. Got new key and had to deliver dirty towels to front desk to get clean ones. Was accused of having sign on door and room across didnhave it But we expected to find our room cleaned. Clerk was disrespectful and accused me of hanging a sign not to clean. I offered to prove it as we just arrived but she made me carry dirty wet towels to front desk and offered no apologies. We will not recommend Holiday Inn or stay here again. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Aways had good service prior.

I do not recommend this hotel. The bed was terrible and pillows worst. The curtains had holes in them and when I looked out window there was TRASH piled high in the woods. The same owner owned ALL if these hotels in this group and yes I understand construction debris but I also understand as a land owner how to take care of it. When I complained they didn't care... I posted pictures on trip advisor.
