Got into town at 6am after driving all night and wanted to just get a room to sleep a few hours. Was told there would be an "early check in fee" and I would pay for the night before but have to wait until 8am to check in and be out by twelve. I asked if it was a late check in and she said no let me read it to you then read a procedure for multi day stays that didnt apply to my situation. She couldn't explain why I had to wait for 8am or why I had a few for an early check in if I'm not checking in early for the following day. All she said was "I don't make the rules." Which I suppose is true. Either way, I chose to stay else where and will continue to stay else where anytime I come to Natchitoches.

Nice clean hotel, they have a nice continental breakfast the pool wasn't open yet when we stayed there everyone was friendly and helpful. There is a lot of places around for food. It is right off of the freeway and the parking lot is nice, the photos on the website are exactly what they have and what it looks like.I would like to know what brand of pillows they have and use I need to find some just like them for my home.

The building itself was clean with no noticable weathering. The parking areas were clearly marked with plenty of space between vehicles. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and presentable, while the staff was grinding and helpful for what my limited needs were. The room was a standard double bedroom, with three pillows to each bed. The sheets seemed to be clean and folded well enough. The AC was also on, so I didn't have to wait for a cool room during the summer heat off the day. The bathroom area was also clean, with plenty of toilet paper.

The staff was amazing they went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and accommodated. The room though, was not clean, the beds suck. Melissa was absolutely amazing. I was just glad I brought my own blankets. The sheets were clean, the blankets were questionable. Also, it claims to have a full hot breakfast. There were some sausage patties, egg patties, and bagels. I guess that's a "hot breakfast". The coffee was really good.

When we arrived and checked in and were given our room number we proceed to our room. When we arrived at the door it was wide open. We were surprised at this. When we entered the room it was very hot and to our surprise, the air conditioner was turned off. We finally got it turned on but it was so hot we had to go sit in the lobby for about 45 minutes for it to cool off some before we could change clothes for our evening dinner. It stilled had not cooled off much. When we returned from dinner I kicked off my shoes and walked to the side of the bed where the air conditioner was and the carpet was soaking wet. It was obvious the air conditioner needed some type of maintenance. We informed the person at the front desk when we checked out but she seemed to have no concern. We will not be staying at this Econo-lodge or any other Econo-lodge for that matter again. The stay at this Econo-Lodge has turned us against using these hotels. The entire atmosphere was not good. The laundry room door was open and you could see in there (not exactly what I would want to see) the ladies behind the check-in area did not look professional, the entrance was not inviting and there were dead shrubs at the entrance. Just not a good overall look for guests coming to stay.

Front desk staff was super friendly, just took 25/30 minutes to check in. We get to the room and it's nice but smells like your 95 year old grandma's vintage closet. Had to stop up the bathtub with a washcloth so my kids could take a bath (they're babies) and it still slowly drained. Before anyone got in it, I had to wash someone else's gunk out of it. Other than that it was a decent stay.

Nicest Econo lodge you could stay in. Everything is great. Shower and bed were perfect. Staff were also great. Accidently book smoking and they fixed it with no problem right away.Nearby activities: Steel Magnolias was filmed here.

Upon entering the room it smelled terrible. Then there on the Trey there was a died cockroach brought it down to show staff and they had said they had just had it sprayed a few days ago but the only way they could accommodate was splitting up our family bc we had to purchase two conjoined they said they could get another room down the hall. The next morning my daughter took a picture of one climbing up the wall but hey got a %10 discount. Also had patched spots on wall and the tv stand had wood missing. Also bathroom door also looked like it had a fist hole patched. Have pictures of all. For the money I would choose another hotel.

The check-in staff was nice enough, but the room smelled absolutely awful. Staff was very accommodating to change our room, but this room smelled so badly of air fresheners and perfume that we could not possibly stay. I think the worst thing about the experience was that they would not issue a refund. This is clearly my own fault for not reading the reviews first, since so many of them mention the smell. This was an expensive life lesson! Will not consider staying at an Econo-lodge again.

Comfortable bed. It was really dark in the room - We had all the lights on but it was still really dim and hard to see. Breakfast was odd... Bagels with nothing to put on them, toast with nothing to put on it... Odd like that. Ended up giving up and just getting it from elsewhere. Internet is super bad: I ended up having to do a lot of business from my phone because it looks like their office area is literally a desk in the lobby. At least it was clean. I just wouldn't recommend if you are someone on a business trip.

I will call corporate, there is no way this hotel should be charging 565 for 2 nights even though 5 miles from festival. The door handle for bathroom didn't work well at all, my son didn't have it locked and call me to help him with something and took me forever to open the door the front desk said she would have someone go look at it and fix Saturday morning and still nothing we had to deal with this door the whole stay. NO stopper for tun and we dnt like showers especially our son so I had to stuff a towel in drain to take baths front desk gave me a tiny one that didn't fit then Saturday brought it back gave me one too big I have to push and try to make it fit. Husband wanted hot breakfast so I canceled reservations at super 8 which was 250.00 cheaper for a breakfast that consisted of bagels toast cereal and sausages I asked where the eggs. Grits etc. She said they have trouble getting eggs and grits it's a pack u fix yourself. They had a waffle iron which didn't have thr best taste. The came in Saturday while we were gone replenished towels. Soap didn't fix bed or anything else. Pillows weren't comfortable I asked if they had different ones she said no. One of the bedding 122 has a huge dip in the middle of mattress not comfortable and u fall into it it's so deep. Very disappointed paying that much money for what we went through never again. Photos online does not look the way it actually is. Only good thing was the TV worked and location was across street from a few good restaurants that's it

Econo Lodge has been a huge supporter of our tribe The Natchitoches Tribe of Louisiana for the last 4 yrs. Any event our tribe has scheduled we book our rooms at this location. Mr. Patel and his staff go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The hotel is always clean, rooms are great and the location is perfect! So if you're visiting Natchitoches or just passing through this is the place to stay!

Looks can be deceiving. The outter appearance looked nice. The grounds were clean and tighty. Lobby was clean and the place smelled great, even the hallway leading to the rooms. The room seemed ok at first glance, however there was a large brown recluse spider on the shower curtain. The refrigerator was extremely rusty inside and out. Microwave was dirty. Shower floor was cracked and sunk in, I almost slipped and fell. It was very cold outside so it took about 40 minutes for tthe water in shower and sink to become luke warm.

I relocated to the Econolodge Natchitoches, Louisiana earlier this year from what is considered a higher ranking hotel. I have been more than pleased with the quality of the overall hotel conditions, cleanliness, service.I stay at many hotels in my travels and I know the the overall quality of a hotel depends on the owner, management and staff and I rank this Econolodge much higher in quality than many higher cost hotels.
