For 3 years I was taking my SC430 Lexus to the dealership because my battery keep dying. Thousands of dollars later with Lexus finding other things supposedly wrong my brother's mechanic recommended Sal's, after 3 days of tracing and tested all my wiring, Sal finally discovered the problem. Thank you Sal for fixing my car and charging a very reasonable price. I live in Gonzales and his shop is in Metairie it was worth the drive. He is a very honest man.

Sal has an very nasty attitude!!! I wouldn't bring my vehicles here for services. The truck is in an worser condition after service. Truck was towed at this location. Therefore I was trying to get the correct location. He answered the phone and had an attitude and told me the vehicle was ready and Don't call him no more!!!!!!! Nasty customer service!!!!! NEVER AGAIN

Mr.Sal and his team are the real deal..set your appointment with respionist for a diagnosis, they waist no time calling back with the issue,time frame to repair and cost..never any hidden fees or saprize cost...thank you Mr.Sal and staff..

Sal's is FANTASTIC! I called there to see if they could fix the windshield wiper motor on my 1988 Chrysler. They said they could and worked me into their schedule the same day just two hours later. They fixed my wiper motor while I waited and at a very affordable price! Next, I'm having them fix my power windows and my auto AC. Thank you Sal's!Service: Electrical repair

Brought my truck into Sals this morning for an electrical diagnosis. He solved my issue and had my truck back to me before 3. Very pleased with the service. But man. $225 to change a battery terminal is ridiculous.Should have just asked exactly what ground was bad and change it myself.I will say this . The $225 isn t as bad as me playing the guessing game and probably spending more replacing parts that did not need to be replaced.Which is the road I was on. Having already replacedheadlight bulbs Headlight switch Alternator fuse...Alternator twice,only bc I thought the first new one was bad I m just glad it wasn t anything serious.And I m very thankful for Mr. Sal getting it done so fast.UPDATE: head lights still flickering.When I brought it in , I explained that there has to be a parasitic draw somewhere. On recent 18-day vacation to the New Orleans area, a really bad noise developed in my 2006 Pontiac Torrent that I had driven down there. With very little time to spare and a 1,000+ mile return journey on the horizon I took my car to Sal. Sal and his team quickly diagnosed my issue (two bad wheel bearings) and over the next two days put in hours of work to make sure my car was road worthy in time for my planned departure date. They did so at what I know be a very competitive and affordable price. When I got my car back it was running more smoothly than it had in months and zero evidence of the horrible noise I brought it in for remained. I was so relieved and spent zero time worrying my car would survive the trip home. I am writing this review from my Michigan home, actually. Got home yesterday with no problems at all. Horrible experience. Broke my window. Refused to fix.**Edit A restraining order for what exactly? I came in about a month ago with a silver 2007 Cadillac. No wood in my window? However, I needed a new thermostat and a fee other things. One window motor was broken. U fixed it. But Gave it back to me with the window not connected on the inside and my window has been stuck down for a month give or take.Not sure who you're talking about, but I only dealt with you professionally.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went in with my Honda Civic, just to get a brake job. They tried to convince me to get 4 different extra things done and the price was high compared to other places I tried near me. The man I spoke to had a bad attitude. It would've been okay if they'd just have fixed the one part my mechanic uncle and father said I needed, as I couldn't afford all the extra stuff. Just overall not the best experience.

Mr. Sal was amazing! My car was randomly giving me issues: the horn blaring, and the alarm going off while it was just sitting in my driveway - finally got fed up with it and took it in. Mr. Sal was able to fit me in that day, and had it fixed before 2 PM.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

This man just accused me of being someone else. Doesn't seem to know what customer he's talking to. I wrote a review below and he told me someone else's story with a different car at a different time, and said he would get a restraining order against me. I'd love for him to as I know I'm not whatever man he's speaking of. I didn't see them today. It's been well between one and two months. If you seen a 6'4 dirty blonde hair man, white, almost 30, then maybe you'd be talking about me. However I've never thrown anything in your store nor did I see you in the last month and a half give or take??

I recommend this place 100%. They are honest people and the owner Sal is just awesome. He doesn t hesitate to take your car in when you have an emergency. Some car dealerships and some mechanics will keep your car for weeks while you wait for them to fix the issue. Not Sal s auto shop, they get you in fast and try to get even the most complicated jobs out in a few days tops. I m truly grateful to have an honest and fair mechanic like Sal.

The battery on my my Toyota truck would continually die. I took my truck to 3 different mechanics, one that specialized in auto electrical and all 3 said they could find no problems just a bad battery. After replacing the battery twice I took it to Sal's. It took them a few days to find the problem they repaired it and I have had no problems since. Their price was reasonable and they were very nice and easy to deal with. I would definitely return and highly recommend them for electrical work.

It's nice to go into a business and have the owner there all the time. This is a wonderful shop. Everyone is very nice. Sal is very honest and upfront. You can tell that he cares about his customers. If you bring your vehicle here you will have peace of mind that you will not be ripped off. Joe is a phenomenal mechanic he definitely knows what he's doing. Highly recommended!

Was having a really rough day when my car decided to stop in the middle of a busy street. Called sal s and he said he would Take a look at it... everyone was so nice and they took awesome care of my car and it runs better than it has in a while. Great service and decent prices! It s always great to find a great honest place!Well my car battery was drained when I was trying to get to work better in my driveway than anywhere else I guess. So I was panicking as we just had hurricane Ida and things are not really open and I have to get to work. Called a few shops and no luck. Called sal and he took my car that day and fixed it super quick! He is definitely honest and gets your car in and out as soon as possible! Will always recommend his place and his staff is all super nice and helpful

Listen... my battery had been draining over night, every night since I bought my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on a used lot, and nobody would fix the electrical problem because the jeep is over 10 yrs old...not even the dealer. I called Sal's and scheduled an appointment based on the reviews I read on here. I am so glad I did! They found the problem within the same hour I arrived, and fixed it faster than the estimated time they gave me, and on the same day. I went in for 10 am and I was out by 12. The office environment is as comfortable as sitting in your own home. Everyone was so nice, and professional. Also, the cost was very reasonable! I gave the mechanic a big hug lol.

Needed to have electrical work done to kick my A/C back to blowing cold air just in time for summer.I dropped my car off early that day, the receptionist was great and gave me a call back to let me know my options. Unfortunately my compressor was shot and needed a replacement and they were will to accept a replacement that brought in myself.Joe worked on my car and he was a stand up guy, to the point, told me what I needed done and gave me an estimated time(the same day within a couple of hours) for the work to be done and kept his word.This was my first time getting electrical work done on my car and would most definitely recommend this business. Wish I knew them back in the 2000s when I had my first car but better later than never.

My husband had electrical issues with a brake light and a blinker. Brought his van to 2 different places who couldn't figure it out. Tony had the lights fixed in 30 minutes. Thank you to Sal and his staff for quick and reasonable work. Definitely be back

Set up an appointment on Monday for Wednesday. Showed up for 9am. Waited 15 minutes to get checked out. They were willing to update my tire pressure sensor (that other nationally chained stores will not attempt and had the potential to fix it) but after an attempt, they realized their device was no bueno. So they recommended the business two lots over.No charge. Seem like good people so 5-star.

Not a man of his word, Mr. Sal seemed to be a nice genuine gentleman, he and his assistant Ally told me to bring my vehicle in and after I provided them proof of the estimate previously giving so I wasn't going to allow them to not honor that price to my face, After I was told that he didn't remember giving me that specific price. He wanted to charge me more because he forgot the price he had previously quoted, so what sal did was sent another mechanic out to tell me they wouldn't have time to get to my vehicle and they will let me know when to bring it in after already telling me to bring it in on a specific date. Was not about to let them try to price gouge me. I could've Understood if they started working on my vehicle and ran into a problem and it would've costed more, but he never even started the work and was looking for more money. Will never return to be swindled.

Man this place been open for years, I've been coming here since I was young u have a problem with anything electrical on your they will get it right believe that so I will always bring my car/truck here if I ever have any lighting problems with my vehicles this is the best place to go for any car electrical work besides the dealership and the prices are very less expensive then a dealership I never had to bring them a car back after they fix it so trust me for electrical work yell will be very pleased......

I had a noise from under the hood and couldn't pin point it. I thought it might be the alternator and brought it to Sal's. Dropped it off and it was ready within 3 hours. His alternator was cheaper than Auto Zone and his installation was only a hundred bucks. I'm very happy with his service and prices.

I went in to a very a simple trailer fuse replaced (something that literally would have took them less than two minutes). I was charged $55 which is absolutely ridiculous. Even dealerships charge a fraction of this. I would suggest if you do make the mistake of doing business here, at least get the price before it's done because they obviously rip people off.

I was experiencing electrical problems with the charging system on my vehicle. I was referred to Sal's and it was the best recommendation i ever received. I was treated with the up most professionalism. So now i highly recommend Sal's for all your electrical needs on your vehicle

Heard they were a knowledgeable establishment from a friend, but after a small miscommunication about the origin of my vehicle's problem the mechanic and owners daughter became rude and pretty much threatened to get my car towed away

I was having problems with my horn and I was recommend by Scotty's Auto to go see Sal's Auto Electric and they found the problem really fast and they fix it. The service is great, the owner, Sal was very friendly and helpful, and the pricing to fix it was reasonable. I recommend Sal's if you have electric problems with your car.

Sal's has serviced my car twice and has very reasonable prices. I got my alternator replaced and had my electrical system fixed. Great experience on both occasions.

If you need a mechanic this is the one! I ve been to Sal s multiple times since my mechanic of 30 years retired. I will only use Sal s and am grateful I found someone to put my trust into. In one word "GENIUS" and extremely affordable low charge.. I have sienna with five warning lights (abs,track off,check engine,vsc system,and the warning triangle) they fixed it after I went to other many places without being able to fix it, and the dealer charges doubles.
