Got an oil change for a fair price. Took about an hour, so not bad. Service was friendly and satisfactory. They were willing to fix my brake pads in the same day, but price for that was very high in my opinion but I'm from small town and not sure how big city and inflation have an effect on that.

Dishonest and Not Trustworthy!! Will not use ever again!!First I brought my in vehicle in for a minor repair and told it needed an entire Rear End. I paid for a replacement (cash only). Months later brought same vehicle in for in for inspection of Low Oil Pressure alarm. Was told it was investigated and needed a new engine and would cost $7-8K. Was told metal shavings were seen and it definitely needed a new engine. Had vehicle towed to a trustworthy mechanic for 2nd opinion. Trustworthy mechanic found NO shavings and said only problem was a cracked O-ring. Had it repaired for $800. Now second guessing if the Rear End I paid for was necessary Sure seems like they re scamming customers!!

Went in to get diagnostic on transmission but i doubt they checked. They checked dipstick for transmission and concluded my transmission bad. Disappointed and wont go back after spending $141.00. Felt cheated. Quality of work and trust important to grow a business.

We had our car towed to GT Automotive after the shifter cable broke. James Theriot took care of us and fixed the car in less than a day. Definitely recommend.

Did a great job on my Mercedes-Benz...took a little longer than expected..but in the end the car was fixed and was clean.Good shop..I'll definitely returnVery professional

I brought my car there it was really expensive after got home it broke again and they don't even have a record service same thing broke and the only way they look at it if u bring to them will never use them again!

GT Automotive is one of the best auto shops in the entire metropolitan area. Mr. Greg and his entire staff are very kind, professional, courteous, and attentive people. Always giving you the best value for services rendered. I highly recommend them.

NOW under new owner (BAD NEWS)!!!!! Charged me $160 to tell me my battery was bad then told me it was $350 for new battery and i would still have to pay for Labor to replace it. for a Total of $580. Took the battery to auto zone found the battery for $200 and they changed it out for Free. That will be the last time I go to GT!!!!

GT automotive is a great place to take your car. The people are very nice, the prices are good, the service is excellent & they always have your car ready whenever they tell you. Greg continues to lie to his customers on timeline and price. Can't trust these guys as far as you can throw them.I brought my car in for an issues, he calls me a week later to tell me he can't fix the original problem but he fixed something that wasn't broken before an expected me to pay him $500 for a nonexistent problem.Service: Auto maintenance

Dropped off my vehicle for an oil change. I mentioned that my 2007 Lexus LX470 service manual suggest lubing of driveshaft at oil change intervals. They said they would take care of it. Called later that afternoon to see when my car would be finished and if I could pick up the next day because I didn t have a ride. They said oh we haven t got to it. Ok, I was fine since I could not get there. Finally they called around 1pm the next day and said it was ready. I asked for a total and found the lube of the underside components were 1 hour labor $62. Called different shops and prices for that service at an oil change was $17 average. So why are they so high. I don t know. Get there and when asked of the high price of the lube I was told well that s what it is period. Well the owner goes and gets my vehicle and brings it up. I get in my vehicle and in plain sight the low windshield washer fluid light is on and service needed light is still lit. This is supposed to be taken care after the oil change is completed and washer fluid filled? I would think. So me trying to give my business to the local guy will have me going back to Lexus for better service and actually cheaper prices.Service: Oil change

With many years of experience, they bring quality and professionalism to the table every single day. Greg and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and do a fantastic job at what they do best, caring for your vehicle. I have used them throughout the years and they are always consistent at what they do. They are honest and fair priced. Initially took my car in for leaking oil, they were easy to schedule with and got me in ASAP. Unfortunately the part that was replaced broke and started leaking again. Kyle had already reached out to me to check on the condition of my car, so it was easy to bring it back in. They replaced the part completely free of charge since the original piece broke. Extremely fast, professional and reliable. Highly recommend

We've been bringing our cars to GT Automotive for many years and have always gotten very good service. The work is always professional, knowledgeable and prompt. They take the time to explain and show me what needs to be done and why. I often get same day or next day service. Greg and the guys are always courteous and polite, with a friendly greeting when you arrive. And when I picked up the car recently after a brake job, I was pleasantly surprised to find they had cleaned and vacuumed the car after completing the work!

Greg the owner is really nice! I called and asked for an oil change and he said come on in. Usually you have to make appointments in advance for this , but he was so kind to let me come right away. They got the job done so fast I was shocked. I'd be coming here regularly for my car if I lived here but I live in Brooklyn. I definitely recommend having this shop as your go to mechanic.Service: Oil change

GT Automotive are my go to guys (and gals). Two years ago, when I first went to them right before a big road trip, I told them in my naive youth "charge me whatever you want but I need to make sure this car is safe to drive 1000 miles". They could have made anything up to make a quick buck but when I picked up my car they said all I needed was an oil change. And that's when I knew....Since then, I take my car to them for everything and I recommend them to everyone I know. They are super friendly, quick, trustworthy, and always get the job done. I won't go anywhere else. Thanks GT :)Editing just to add that GT is still awesome! even three years later!

We were very pleased with the service at GT Automotive. The young lady who answered the phone was very polite and we were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Greg and his staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the service on our car was completed while waiting. The owner has years of experience and is trustworthy ... we highly recommend GT Automotive.

We are relatively new to the area and as anyone knows finding an honest mechanic is not easy. We found our place and it's GT automotive. They do high quality work at very fair prices. One of the things I like the best about GT is that I can do the research and buy the part and they will install it for me. So no worries about having the part price inflated to increase the bill. The only downside is that they are only open Monday through Thursday, but that's a small thing when you are getting honest quality work. I highly recommend GT Automotive!Services: Brakes, A/C installation & repair

I have been using GT Automotive for a few years and have found them to be reliable, exceeding good at repairs and very trustworthy. I have gone there a few times expecting to have replace certain parts only to be informed that no, I didn't need to spend all that money on the parts, that it was another (invariably less expense) problem. They are absolutely the best!

Above and BeyondJust got my 2002 Toyota Highlander back from GT Automotive. They did everything I asked them to do and then some. Not only did they complete the job in a timely manner but I feel the prices were reasonable for the work performed. Not only that but I got the SUV back looking strangely much better than when I brought it in. I asked Greg if they had cleaned the tires (which I remember still had some spillway mud on them) and he said they had done not only that but had cleaned the rest of the outside too! What an unexpected and pleasant surprise.So, for all the above reasons, I know where I'll be bringing my vehicle the next time it needs fixing--to the professionals at GT Automotive.

We have been taking our cars to GT Automotive for years now and have always had great service and excellent work done on our cars. We drive 20 minutes out of our way to take our cars there because they are simply the best. They are honest and reliable and even help us find the most affordable solutions such as used parts or delaying certain jobs when appropriate. All that and they are also just some real nice people!!

When I moved to New Orleans over a decade ago I didn t know any reliable places to get work done on my car. I am so glad someone suggested GT Automotive to me.I even prefer to take my car to them to get my oil changed rather than those quick places because I know that they re not going to try to sell on me on everything under the sun. If they do see something that s a concern, they ll let you know without it feeling like your talking to a pushy salesman.GT is the ONLY place my family and I will bring our vehicles.Greg and the team are personable, professional, honest, and fair.

As of the writing of this review, I have had my oil changed twice at GT Auto. This is the only place I will go to get my oil changed in the future. Price is competitive. Service is super fast. Very knowledgable but will not try to "up-sell" you. Most importantly, however, the owner, Greg, is an honest, God-respecting man whose number one business priority is take care of his customers. Whether you deal with Cameron at the front desk or Joe or one of the other guys in the garage, you will be treated with kindness and respect. For those consumers who are conscious about "buying" locally, look no further. This is a home-grown business. I would have no problem allowing my wife or mother to go to GT Auto. as this shop has earned my trust. Keep up the good work guys!!!

GT Automotive has been coming to my rescue for years. I can always count on them when needed. Even with major repairs, I have received my vehicle back in a timely manner and repairs were done at a fair price. Over time, I have utilized their quality service, professionalism and fairness for many different types of vehicles. They have always come through with the same superiority. They keep you up-to-date while your vehicle is there and I always know what to expect. No surprises here. I feel lucky to have an automotive service company that I can trust.Thank you GT!Lisa

Highly recommend using GT Automotive! I had a tail light and blinker out and they were able to fix it in under 15 minutes. Extremely friendly and great service. Will definitely be going back for any services needed in the future.

Great customer service and reasonable prices. I needed my car's A/C fixed in a hurry after it went out suddenly and these guys were able to get me in the next day and had the repair completed the following day. They were very friendly and willing to explain in detail the issue and answer all the questions I asked without losing patience or making me feel stupid for asking. I typically am distrustful of mechanics but these guys made a supporter out of me. I recommend asking for Greg if you stop by for the first time.

If you're in the Kenner area and you're trying to have your vehicle serviced , no matter if it's an oil change or a new transmission, GT Automotive is the place to go to. They're very professional and have reasonable rates

Great business, honest, very reasonable prices, peace of mind. You can't go wrong taking your car here for service :)Update: a year later (4/2019). It's nice to know you can trust a mechanic shop. Greg does good work, honest, reasonable prices. Doesn't try to upsell on things that don't need to be done. He is always the first place I take my car for service.
