I took my 2014 Toyota Prius V in for a couple issues. One issue I had agreed to have a valve replaced that was diagnosed as the problem, but after further investigation, Robert (Mechanic) told me it was just a loose gas cap and did not charge me for the service. The other issue was a failing ABS system which after Robert diagnosed and found from Toyota that in order to have a warranty on the unit, it would be more expensive than previous quotes I received, so he recommended I go with the other shop with specialized experience in this issue and slightly cheaper. I m very happy to have worked with Robert, plan to come back, and recommend this shop to others because Robert was in a position to charge me more than he did, and he was honest about what he came across and his knowledge of each issue, what he did and didn t know, which I found to be a hallmark of honesty.- Rob M.

Have had nothing but good experiences here. Brought my wife s car in for an oil change and requested the tires be rotated. They called and let me know the tires needed to be changed and they felt no need to rotate them (it d be a waste of their time and my money). I appreciated the call and honesty.

Chevy HHR repairs and complete check out were done quickly and efficiently. They let us know what they found and what our choices were when it came to the repairs. This is an excellent automotive repair facility that, I get the impression, shoots for zero returns on the work they preform. A very nice standard indeed.Get an appointment and take your vehicle there to get your repairs done. You will not be disappointed.

I brought my BMW 328i in to get the headlight bulbs replaced. I was in and out within 30 minutes and the cost was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and professional.

I had a great experience with Mr Robert. My car got checked out and parts was order and I received a call with updates. Car was repaired in same day and I was back rolling. Thanks so much for great service!

2018 Yukon condenser replacementMy new go to for any mechanic work. like the business model of making an appointment instead of the old leave your car here and we will get to it when we can as it sits for a week without getting touched- I dropped off at 08:30 for the AC condenser to be replaced (gotta love GM) along with the oil change and was ready for pick up by 14:00. No up charge on parts or upselling and labor is priced right. Also have perks such as free oil change after your 3rd service up to a certain amount. In this day and age people want same day rushed service and will be turned off by having to make an appointment, I d rather wait a few days and have the service done right the first time. Do yourself a favor and give them a chance - you won t be disappointed. As much as I like working on my own vehicles I will definitely be using them for most of my services in the future. Honest, dependable and proficient mechanics. I have multiple trucks in my business and whenever I have an issue I always bring them to Northshore Motorworks because I know they will find the issue and resolve it with haste.

Would highly recommend these guys. Affordable, trustworthy and good at what they do. They will work with your schedule to get your car repaired, definitely helped me in a pinch before.My car has some specialty brakes that honestly took some effort on their part to get ahold of - despite that I was still only charged the original quoted price.

Not often I write reviews but recent dealings with these folks warranted doing so. I would recommend Northshore Motorworks to anyone needing auto repair work. Robert & Scott really know their trade, are honest & communicative. Good customer service and reasonable prices. I was recommended by another company to this repair shop because I was told they are the Best at what they do. Let me tell you, they were not lying. The professionalism, the service, the communication, everything was excellent. Even the pricing I found to be completely fair being that the repair was on a BMW. They went out of their way to check on a noise I kept hearing on the driver side strut. Come to find out it was a loose bolt. And on top of that the repair was a lot faster than what I expected They have definitely gained a customer for life with Me. Honesty and integrity go a long way and Northshore Motorworks is not lacking on any of them. They excell at it. Highly recommend to everybody.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had just bought a house in Abita Springs. I was there, checking on it, hadn t even moved in yet, and I had car trouble. Some thing under the chassis came loose when I went through Highwater in Covington. These guys did not know me, I didn t have an appointment, I was just some stranger calling in asking for help. They told me to come right over, they put the car up on the rack, took off the piece that was dragging, gave me my keys back, and said, have a nice day. That was awesome. And I told them that if I had the opportunity, I would praise them all the way around. Nice people, polite, even though they were doing me a favor, you just don t see that much anymore. Thank you guys.

You have to bring your vehicle to Robert and the guys at Northshore Motorworks!! These guys are very honest and their work is top caliber & fast!! They treat your vehicle as if it where their own!! My daughter's car overheated last night, and they were able to check it today. Turns out we only needed to change the radiator hoses - not the radiator itself. We also asked them to check her brakes also, which were FINE. There is no better place than an HONEST auto repair shop!!! Robert was honest, efficient, reasonably-priced, and accurate. Robert is super helpful. You can tell it's a good business when they offer suggestions that save you money. Nice, big, clean, COOL waiting area, and they don't seem to overbook. Robert knows his trade well. Brought in a vehicle that I was considering purchasing and he literally checked everything that there was to check. Very thorough and complete report availed me to negotiate a little further and ultimately purchase the vehicle at a great price. The inspection and diagnostic literally paid for themselves. I would definitely recommend Northshore Motorworks in fact, I did so, to my boss, right after getting into work (earlier than expected)! Robert diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed it so fast I only had time to grab some breakfast to-go when he called to say my car was ready to pick up. Robert was clear in his explanations of the problem (actually showed me on the engine), explained what he needed to do to fix it, and afterwards, what I should expect going forward. Bonus: 5% discount for paying cash!Northshore Motorworks came highly recommended from the guys who do my oil & air filter changes, and they were right!Service: Transmission

I pulled into NorthShore MotorWorks somewhat by accident. I had just driven off the interstate because my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. Robert, the owner, said that he was swamped that day and was sorry he couldn't help me. Then, he realized I was a traveler in desperate need, and said to come on by, he would have a look and see what he could do. He spotted the problem immediately, and pulled the very dirty cabin air filter out. The air conditioner started blowing just like it was supposed to. He strongly encouraged me to replace the filter with a new one when I got to where I was going. He didn't charge me a dime and had me on my way in less than 5 minutes. What a smart guy, what a nice guy and what a generous guy!Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I discovered Northshore Motorworks when I was in a jam. They helped me at a time when they were extremely busy and I could clearly see they were squeezing me in... I went back as a result of their good work, but also because of the customer service I received. I've moved a lot in my lifetime and owned several cars, I can honestly say that Northshore Motorworks far exceeds expectations. They do great work in a timely and professional manner. I can clearly see their business plan is to build their clientele by word of mouth... one satisfied customer at a time.

Robert is always very helpful and understanding about vehicle problems. His knowledge and diagnostics are very professional and personal. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an honest mechanic that won't give you a big story about how your galactic converter is starting to go out. If I could give him 10 stars I would.
